I heard your friends were looking for me.

I stayed away because I know you’re off limits.

Until Sana told me you broke up with him.

“What?!”

“You know we can’t Seul! My dad will kill you once he sees I’m with you.”

“And that’s a problem too.” She heaved a sigh. “You’re a thief Kang. You and your friends. You live off to other people’s belongings. You smoke. You stay late at night. You’re a bad influence.”

 

I felt like a part of me died.

 

“I’ll talk to your Dad tomorrow. Tell him I’ll come.”

 

And so I did.

It wasn’t easy having a tough deal with Mr. Bae—or should I say, ‘Dad’. Especially when he demanded me to go fix my life without Joohyun in it.

“How’s school?”

“Good. Fix yourself up. You gotta train for the company.”

 

I left you.

It was my choice because I needed to.

It’s like hitting two birds with one stone.

I get to finish my studies abroad and be trained at your dad’s company at the same time.

 

Oh Bae Joohyun, if you only knew how I was discriminated for having such small eyes and you still let Krystal call me Slit-Eyes.

I got beaten up by your dad but most of the times, by your brother, when I make a mistake during the training. I get bullied in school too. Despite being a scholar student, I work part time at this small resto downtown because your father wouldn’t support me financially until I finish high school. I lost track of time. I was so busy and focused with everything.
