it was so hard to write this chapter T_T

Icy wind whipped Jennie’s hair around her face, tearing at her light sweater.  She shut her eyes and put both of her hands in the pocket of her sweater. She felt much warmer now.

She was cursing Hana silently in her mind for asking her to go to the shop and buy some groceries early in the morning as they were out of supplies for days. She would have been sleeping all day long in her comfy bed and warm blanket right now. She blinked a few times as she felt her eyes were a bit teary because of the cold weather.

As soon as she entered the grocery shop, the warmth greeted her coldness and she shivered in relief. She took out a piece of paper from her pocket and looked through the grocery list before grabbing the shopping basket.

She went straight to vegetables and fruits area, grabbing a troop of mushrooms, a few pods of peas, cabbage, carrots and a comb of bananas. Putting all the items in the basket, she moved to the grocery shop aisle.

Jennie tiptoed and stretched out her hand to reach a can of tuna while cursing under her breath as she was too short. Suddenly, she felt a figure behind her and she quickly turned around.

Her eyes widened as they stood too close from each other. Smirking, the person handed her a can of tuna that she had been reaching just now.

“That’s why you need a tall person as a company when doing groceries. Understand, Meow?” He said, chuckling.

She rolled her eyes, “Tch, you are just lucky you’re taller than me. You aren’t even that tall for men’s height. Okay, Suga?” she sassed him back while putting the tuna in her basket.

He brought his hand to his chest dramatically, “You hurt me, Meow! For your information, my name is Yoongi not Suga, okay?”

She let out a laugh, “And for your information too, my name is Jennie not Meow, okay?”

He gasped and gritted his teeth, “Stop sassing me back, Meow. I am too swag for that.” He said while crossing his arm. Jennie stuck her tongue out and walked away from him.

“What are you doing here?” he asked as she caught her up and walked beside her. She turned to face him and gave her usual ‘resting face’ before answering, “Swimming.”

 Yoongi rolled his eyes in annoyance, “Jennie, please. You are pissing me off, I told you I am too swag for a girl to sass me.” he groaned and Jennie let out a laugh before grabbing two boxes of cereals, two bottles of sodas, and a few packet of salted caramel popcorns.

He suddenly walked passed her and stopped in front of her basket. Jennie stopped her track and raised her eyebrows. “Move, Yoongi.”

“Do you remember when I delivered the pizza to your house?” he asked and Jennie just nodded. “I asked for your number from your – ” he hesitated to continue. Understandingly, Jennie informed him that Hana is her friend.

“But, I couldn’t reach you. You know, when I called the number she gave, a stranger picked up and speak ing English with me. I didn’t understand what the hell he was talking about,” he told her while maintaining his cold expression.

“And there was a bit Chinese,” he said quietly but Jennie could hear it. She couldn’t help but laughed out loud. If she was home, she would roll on the floor and laughed hysterically.

But, her laugh was loud enough to attract people’s attention who walked passed her. He face palmed before walking away from Jennie. Seeing Yoongi who was embarrassed, she decided to mess up with him. She shouted ‘Suga Oppa’ loudly and in return he turned around and showed her his fist.

Jennie laughed and ran to Yoongi who was hiding his face in embarrassment.

After buying all the groceries needed and paid for them, Yoongi offered himself to walk Jennie home. At first she declined it because her house is just a stone’s throw away from the grocery shop.

But being a mischievous Yoongi, he scared her off by saying there was a group of dangerous men in the neighborhood who kidnapped beautiful girls and rap –

Before he got the chance to finish the sentence, Jennie shushed him and put her small hand all over his mouth. He laughed while removing her hand off. He then took out his phone from the pocket of his jeans and asked for her number.

“Why are you so obsessed with my phone number?” she said jokingly while pressing down her number in his phone. She gave the phone back, “Don’t sell it, okay?” and Yoongi let out a small laugh.

While walking home, they dissed each other and Jennie would laugh her off as Yoongi was being roasted by her
