Chapter 8

Yoona was still depressed about her love for Yuri. She was walking down a trail of a park until she heard a familiar voice yelling for help. She immediately ran to the lake and saw someone drowning. Yoona jump into the lake, swimming towards the body.  She felt herself running out of oxygen so she swam back up but quickly dip her head back inside the lake. This time she tried harder until she felt her hand on the drowning’s person's arm. She tried her best to lift the latter up on land. When she did, Yoona was panting hard. When she looked at the drowning person, she noticed it was Yuri. She was shocked but she knew it was more important to save a person’s life. She got both her hands and pressed it on Yuri’s chest. It seem nothing was happened so she was forced to do mouth to mouth. Finally, Yuri responded. She was coughing out the water.

“Are you okay?” Yoona patted Yuri’s back

Yuri was still coughing but was still able to respond back with a yes

“Thank you” Yuri smiled

“No problem” Yoona said awkwardly

“Let’s go inside, were both wet”

At Yoona’s apartment

“Go take a shower, I’ll let you borrow my clothes”

“Won’t you be cold?” Yuri asked worriedly

“I’ll be fine”

When Yuri went into the shower, Yoona was sneezing non-stop

Yuri came out of the shower

“It’s your turn”

“Thank you for saving me earlier. I think it’s time for me to go home” Yuri was about to open the door until she felt Yoona’s hand stopping her

“It’s really dark outside. A girl shouldn’t be going out somewhere this late at night. Why don’t you stay over..?” Yoona slowly said at the end

Yuri felt happy hearing Yoona’s request and quickly accepted it

“I’ll sleep on the couch”

“You can sleep on the bed if you like”

“It’s ok, I don’t want to bother you. You already saved me from drowning”

“But you saved me from the , so I guess we're even”

Out of nowhere, Yuri hugged Yoona

“Thank you” Yuri hugged tightly

“I-I already told you, It’s nothing” Yoona felt herself blushing

In the middle of the night, Yuri was thirsty so she got up and went to the refrigerator.

Yoona couldn’t sleep. She kept blushing every time she thought about the time she did mouth to mouth with Yuri and how she hugged her all of a sudden.

Yoona just grin while turning around with her blanket covering her face.

“What have you done to me Kwon Yuri” Yoona placed both her hands on her cheeks

“Even though I try to ignore you, you still somehow creep back in my heart”

Flashback

The daisy Yuri was holding sank to the bottom of the lake

There was only one last petal left.

Yuri was supposed to say she loves me but fell inside the water before she could

Yoona’s heart could sense Yuri was going to be in trouble so she decided to go to the park

Yoona only thought that her heart was depressed but in reality, she saved Yuri’s life

End of Flashback

Yoona heard some noises downstairs and was worried if anything happened to Yuri. In her mind she kept thinking someone barged in their apartment. She got her flashlight and walked out her room slowly.

Yuri heard some noises from the left. She immediately stop what she was doing and looked around. It was dark so she didn’t see much. She walked away the kitchen and looked behind her. When she turned her head back

“YAH!” They both screamed

“What are you doing this late at night?” Yoona felt her heart racing

“I was just thirsty so I wanted some water” Yuri said innocently

“I thought something happened to you” Yoona stood up

“You care for me?” Yuri smiled looking up at Yoona

“Of course” Yoona said without thinking

“I thought you moved on?”

“Go to sleep” Yoona walked away

“Good night” Yuri was sitting there smiling like a kid

“Night”

Yuri was just laying on the couch smiling knowing Yoona still loved her and slowly she fell asleep

Yoona went back to her bed. She saw a message from Taecyeon 4 hours ago.

Yoona smiled while reading the text

Taecyeon on the other side was waiting for Yoona’s text. He was about to go to sleep until he heard a *ding*

He looked at his phone and smiled.

Yuri woke up and went to the bathroom to get ready. She was preparing breakfast for Yoona. She waited for Yoona to come out but she nothing changed since she had opened her eyes

“How can she overslept when we have class today?” Yuri decided to go inside Yoona’s room

Yuri saw Yoona still sleeping peacefully

“Yoona” Yuri said softly

“Yoona” Yuri said again

Yoona slowly opened her eyes

“Wake up and get ready, I made breakfast for you”

“Yuri...I don’t feel good” Yoona sneezed

Yuri placed her hand on Yoona’s forehead

“Omo, you have a flu. It might’ve been from yesterday. Let me go make some soup for you”

Yuri came back with soup in her hands

She fed Yoona the soup

“Does it taste good?” Yuri blowed on the spoon

Yoona nodded weakly

“Is it because I fed you it?” Yuri said in hope

Yoona smiled knowing Yuri remembered what she said when she was in the car accident

“Yes”

“I’ll skip class today so I can take care of you” Yuri insisted

“No, it’s okay. I can take care of myself”

“Please let me, I was the reason why you’re in this condition.”

Yoona just gave in

The whole day Yuri was just taking care of Yoona

“Aren’t you tired?”

“Not at all” Yuri lied

Yoona fell asleep

Yuri was really tired so she laid next to Yoona on her bed and eventually slept too.
