Yuri and Yoona were walking at a mall until a man showed up in front of them

“Yoona” He started to hug her

“Dad...what are you doing here?”

“I wanted to visit my daughter” He pulled off the hug and smiled

“You could’ve at least called”

“I wanted to surprise you. Now come back home with me” He said seriously

“What? No”

“Yoona come home with me, I’m very lonely without you”

Yoona looked at Yuri but she was just confused as much as she was

“Dad..”

“Im Yoona, you are coming home with me now!” He yelled

Yoona just nodded slowly

“Let’s go home, I’m very tired”

“But dad, I’m hanging out with a friend of mine”

He turned around and saw Yuri

“Hello Mr. Im” Yuri bowed

“Yoona, let’s go” He took Yoona’s arm and walked away

“Sorry, Yuri” Yoona turned back

Yuri just faked a smile

Wtf…? -Yuri thought

At the parking lot

“Dad! Let go of me. How can just leave my friend there like that”

“I don’t care. She’s a grown up so she can take care of herself”

“Why are you so rude all of a sudden?”

He slapped Yoona’s face

“Is this how you talk to your father?” He said angrily

Yoona felt hot tears falling on her cheeks

“Get inside the car”

In the car ride, it was very quiet

“How’s school?” He broke the silence

“Good” Yoona didn’t dare to face him

At home

“Babe you’re back” Yoona’s step mom kissed her father’s lips

“Dad, you have another wife?” Yoona asked in disbelief

“Yes, so you better treat her nicely”

“More like if she’s going to treat me nicely” Yoona mumbled

“I’m going to work soon so your mom will stay with you”

After Mr. Im left

“Can you make me some food?” Yoona asked

“Make it yourself” Yoona’s step mom said coldly

“I thought you’re my mom?”

“Step mom” She corrected

“You’re just some other pathetic women’s child. If it ain’t my child, then that’s not my business”

“Don’t you dare call my mom pathetic!” Yoona defended her mom

“Well what can a dead person do?”

“You!”

“What are you going to do? You're just going to get more in trouble if you’re going to do anything to me” She smirked

Yoona stomped out of the kitchen angrily and into her room

She slammed the door

“Mom..” Yoona cried while holding a picture of them together

Yuri was just standing in the middle of the mall dumbfounded what just happened

“She just left me like this?” Yuri talked to herself

Yuri was walking around until she saw a mickey mouse plush toy in a store

She went inside and looked around

Maybe I should get Yoona something to repay her -Yuri thought

“Excuse me, what are the best sold items in this store?” Yuri asked the cashier

She came back with some examples

“Kids loves these, especially this bear”

I guess Yoona is a little kid -Yuri thought

“Then I’ll take the the bear”

After paying for the bear, Yuri left and went home

“Honey, dinner is ready” Yoona’s step mom called

Yoona checked herself in the mirror to prevent her parents finding out she was crying

“Do you like your step mom staying here with us?”

No. -Yoona thought in anger

“Yes, she’s very k-kind towards me” Yoona struggled to say

“Great, because she’ll be staying here with us forever then”

Yoona choked

“Forever?!”

“Yes? Is there a problem?” His face turned serious

“N-no..”

“Excuse me, I don’t feel like eating right now” Yoona stood up and walked away

Yoona went in her room and called Yuri

“Hello?”

“Yuri, I’m sorry I left earlier”

“It’s fine, but your dad is…”

“I know he’s very strict”

“What did you do after I left”

“I just walked around”

“I’m sorry, I’ll make it up to you next time”

“You promise?”

“Mhm”

“Yoona, you sound very sad”

“I’m not sad”

“Are you sure? Did he do anything to you?”

“N-no..”

“I gotta go now, I’ll see you at school” Yoona changed the subject

“Oh, okay then. Bye”

Yoona laid on her bed hugging the picture frame with her and her mom

All of a sudden, Yoona’s mom entered her room

“You little brat, if you tell your dad anything, I’ll kill you” She pointed at her

“What if I do?” Yoona challenged back

She took Yoona’s picture frame and smashed it on the floor

“What the hell do you think you’re doing!” Yoona got off her bed and went to pick up the pieces

“I warned you”

“First you intruded my family and now you’re threatening me!?” Yoona yelled with tears in her eyes

“Honey?” Yoona’s dad called from downstairs

“Yes?” Her step mom walked to the door but told her one last thing

“Make smart choices if you want to live” and walked away

Yoona was just sitting on the floor trying to reconnect the pieces together while crying in pain

“Babe, what was that sound?”

“Oh, I think it was something that fell off the shelf”

“Is Yoona alright? She’s been acting really strange”

“H-how?”

“She said she didn’t feel like eating after I told her about the news”

“Anyone can feel that?”

“But Yoona has never said such things like that. She loves to eat even if it was dirt”

“Let’s go to bed now, I’m sure she’s fine” She changed the topic

Yoona's Background

When Yoona was a little kid, she had always had family problems. Her parents would fight non-stop causing her to have depression. Her dad would go out drinking while her mom was constantly working for their family. She found a little bit of happiness until she heard the news of her mom dead. Yoona had enough so she moved away from her dad and went to university. That was when she fell in love with Yuri. After Yoona and Yuri became more closer, she had forgotten about her past and moved on. But then suddenly, her dad appears and now she's back to depression.
