Chapter 18

Tiffany came out of her room and witnessed Yuri on the couch

Why did she sleep on the couch last night? -Tiffany thought

Tiffany was making some breakfast until she heard someone coming out of Yuri’s room

“Yoona?”

“H-hey” Yoona said shyly

“Why were you here last night?”

“I didn’t have any place to go, so Yuri said I could stay here”

“Ah. Tell Yuri I’m going out, I made you guys some breakfast” Tiffany waved and left the house

Yoona saw Yuri was sleeping on the couch peacefully

“Pabo, why didn’t you let me sleep on the couch instead?” Yoona caressed Yuri’s cheek

Yuri slowly opened her eyes

“Morning Yuri” Yoona smiled

“Morning Yoona” She smiled back

“Are you feeling better?” Yuri yawned

“Mhm”

While they were eating

“Where are you going to live now?”

“I don’t know..”

“Hm...You wanna live me with me and Tiffany?”

“Can I?”

Yuri nodded

“Thank you”

Yoona kept playing with her food

“Are you sure you’re okay? You haven’t ate a single thing”

“I’m not sure. My dad said I’m no longer his daughter..”

“I think I made a mistake..I should’ve listened to him for my mom”

“No Yoona, he made a mistake, for losing such a great daughter like you”

“Common, cheer up. A girl shouldn’t give her heart too easily” Yuri didn’t like seeing Yoona upset

“Let’s go somewhere”

Yoona nodded

While they were walking at the park, Yuri picked up some flowers

“Yoona, smell these”

“Doesn’t it smell nice?” Yuri smiled but Yoona only gave a weak nod

Yuri pouted but she didn’t give up

“Let’s go there” She pointed at a water fountain

They sat on the rim of the fountain

“Make a wish” Yuri handed a penny

They both made a wish and flicked it in the water

“What did you wish for?’

“Secret” Yoona smirked

Yuri suddenly splashed some water all over Yoona’s face

“Yah!” Yoona splashed back

They were sitting at the park waiting for the sun to set

“Isn’t the sky beautiful tonight?”

“Mhm” Yoona placed her head on Yuri’s shoulder

“Yoona, I want to give you something” Yuri was pulling the item out of her pocket

“What is that?”

“It’s a couples ring” Yuri smiled

“Let me put it on you”

“Do you like it?

“Yes, where did you get it from?”

“An ajumma at a night flea market. She said if I gave this to someone, that person would be cherished for many years”

“What does that mean?”

“Beats me”

“Let’s go home, it’s getting cold” Yuri stood up

All of a sudden Yuri patted Yoona's

“You have grass on there”

“Oh, thanks” Yoona blushed

Kids were playing on the streets and Yoona was afraid to get hit by a ball

Yuri noticed so she took Yoona’s hand and protectively shield her

A kid passed a ball but it landed on Yuri’s face

“Yah! Watch where you’re throwing!” Yuri threw the ball back at his face

After escaping that battlefield, Yuri could feel her cheek was red

“Omo, Yuri, your cheek is all red. Did it hurt when he hit you?” Yoona placed her hand on Yuri’s face

“N-no, it’s just a little ball” Yuri lied

At home

“Night Yoona” Yuri was going to sleep on the couch but Yoona stopped her

“What are you doing?” Yuri looked at her confused

“Go sleep on the bed, I’ll sleep on the couch tonight”

“No, it’s ok”

“Please, you did a lot for me today”

“It’s fine, I’ll sleep with Tiffany if you don’t want me to sleep here”

Yoona immediately said no

“I mean, I don’t want you to bother her so sleep with me”

“Oh, okay” Yuri smiled

While they were on the bed, they were back facing each other

“Yuri..? Are you still awake?” Yoona whispered

“Mhm. Why aren’t you sleeping yet?”

“I can’t sleep”

Yoona back hugged Yuri

“Thank you”

“For what?”

“Making me happy”

Yuri smiled

“I love you” Yoona hugged her tighter

“Love you too (As a friend)”

In the middle of the night, Yuri was awake while Yoona was still hugging her

She slowly turned her body and looked at the sleeping girl next to her

Yuri immediately smiled and hugged the latter back

I don’t know how I feel about you anymore.. -Yuri thought

“Yuri, please don’t leave me!” Yoona cried on the floor

All she could see was Yuri walking away from a bright light while she was stuck in a black room

Yoona was crying in a corner while spirits were whispering at her who were her dad and mom

Then, it quickly flashed to another scene where she was slowly drowning in an ocean

“S-stop...Stop please!”

“Yoona wake up, wake up Yoona”

Yoona opened her eyes and saw Yuri was next to her

She hugged the latter very tightly

“Are you alright? You kept yelling my name”

“Promise me you will never leave”

“Why you suddenly ask that?”

“Please tell me” Yoona started to have tears in her eyes

“I promise. Yoona don’t get scared, I’ll always be here for you”
