“Are you busy this weekend?” Yuri asked

“Yes. My mom’s anniversary is tomorrow”

“Is it okay if I come along?”

“That would be great, I would love to introduce you to her” Yoona smiled

Next Day

While Yoona and Yuri were walking to the grave, Yoona saw a flower shop

“Yuri, let’s go inside” Yoona pointed

“Which one you think looks nice?”

“Hm.. that one” Yuri pointed to a bouquet

“Then I'll get that one” Yoona smiled

At the grave

“Hey mom” Yoona talked to the gravestone

“I brought a friend with me this time, her name is Yuri” Yoona introduced

“Hi Mrs. Im” Yuri bowed

“Mom, she’ll be your future daughter-in-law” Yoona whispered while giggling

“What are you telling her?”

“You’ll find out soon” Yoona grinned

“Aish, I don’t trust you”

Yoona carefully placed the bouquet of flowers

“I guess dad isn’t coming again..” Yoona said sadly

“How come?”

“He says he’s busy every time I mention my mom’s anniversary”

“It’s ok, at least you have me” Yuri hugged her

At home

Yoona went home angrily

She went inside her Dad’s room witnessing him on the bed with his girlfriend

“Why didn’t you come today?”

“I didn’t feel like it” He said cooly

“You ditched mom’s anniversary just to be with her?” Yoona asked in disbelief

“Why should I visit some dead person?”

“That person was your wife, without her, there wouldn’t be me. Don’t you love me?”

Yoona’s dad faced away

Tears were falling down Yoona’s face while she was waiting for the answer

“If you did, you wouldn’t make me be stuck with her” Yoona said coldly

“How dare you talk to your mom like that”

“Step mom”

“She takes care of you and treats you nicely and this is what you say to her!?” He yelled angrily

He went up to her and slapped her face, but this time, it actually hurt a lot

“You’re just like your pathetic mother. I never regretted anything for causing her to die”

“Y-You were the real reason why mom died?” Yoona said shakingly

“You’re a monster!” Yoona yelled while trying to fight back but of course he was too strong so she fell to the ground

“And maybe I should kill you too!”

Before he could hit Yoona, his girlfriend stopped her

“Babe, please calm down. You’re taking it a little too far now.”

“You’ll just end up in jail”

He calmed down a little

“Get out..Get out!” He pointed to the door

“Don’t ever come back, you’re no longer my daughter”

Yoona walked out of the house

She was cold, she was hurt, she didn’t know where else to go

She also didn’t have her phone on her

“Yuri-ah I’m going out”

“Ok, make sure to lock the door before going”

After Tiffany left, Yuri was just sitting on the couch doing nothing

She was repeatedly changing channels on the t.v

*Ding*

Hm? Maybe Tiffany had forgotten something -Yuri thought

She opened the door and saw Yoona crying

“Y-Yoona..what happened to you?” Yuri cupped her hand on Yoona’s cheek

“.....”

“Come inside”

“Tell me what happened” Yuri asked worriedly

“M-My Dad…” Yoona said frighteningly

“What did he do to you?! I’ll go beat him up” Yuri stood up

“D-don’t”

“But Yoona, he hurt you” Yuri still had her worried face

“Is it okay if I stay here for a while?” Yoona changed the topic

“Of course, you can stay as long as you want”

“Go take a shower, I’ll make you some food. You must be hungry”

Yoona nodded and went inside the bathroom

When Yoona changed into Yuri’s clothes, Yuri could notice some bruises on Yoona’s body

“Yoona, let me see that”

Yoona quickly hid it

“Let me see it”

Yoona was still refusing but Yuri had her ways

“Omg, did he do this to you?” Yuri looked at her in the eyes

Yoona didn’t answer

“Does it hurt?”

Yoona nodded

“Let me get a first aid kit”

Yuri was carefully rubbing the injuries with rubbing alcohol

“O-Ow..”

“I’m sorry, I’ll be more gentle”

Yoona was a little brightened up knowing Yuri cared for her

“All done” Yuri smiled

“Thank you”

“You should let me know when something happens to you” Yuri said protectively

Yuri hugged Yoona

“Don’t let anyone hurt you cause it hurts me seeing you in these conditions”

Yoona smiled and responded back to the hug

“Can you get me a blanket and a pillow, I’ll sleep on the couch tonight”

“It’s okay, sleep in my bed”

“But where will you sleep then?”

“I have a foldable bed laying somewhere” Yuri lied

Inside Yuri's room

“Yuri, stay with me a little longer”

Yuri just nodded

She waited until Yoona had fallen asleep before she was able to leave

Yoona could feel herself losing energy

Slowly she closed her eyes and fell asleep

Yuri caressed Yoona’s head

“I’m sorry you have to go through this”

She silently went outside and slept on the couch
