Chapter 39

Yuri took a deep breath before asking Yoona to go out with her.

“Yoona, there’s one more place I want to take you”

They both walked into a familiar restaurant
“Why are you taking me to the places that bring back our past?” Yoona asked

“Well I just wanted to show you how we went from there and how we are here”

“Why?”

Yuri paused a bit to think. By the time Yuri was going to answer, the waiter has already come out with the dishes.

“Does this place bring up any memories to you?” Yuri asked

“Of course, this is where we were officially together. You even ordered the same exact food that we ate last time.”

“That’s nice to know you remembered”

“Why wouldn’t I? Oh, by the way, what did you mean you wanted to show me these places before you changed? You’re not leaving me right..?”

“Hmm..Let me go to the washroom first” Yuri left the table leaving the latter panicking

Is she leaving me right now!? -Yoona thought

Yoona couldn’t hold back as she stood up from her chair ready to enter the washroom until Yuri came out.

“Where are you going?” Yuri asked

“Nowhere” She sat back down

“So..tell me why” Yoona carefully said

Yuri took a deep breath and held Yoona’s hand

“I’m sorry..”

“What?”

“I know after that incident, our relationship has been a little delayed. All I wanted was to be the best girlfriend for you, but instead of doing that, I ended up hurting you”

“Yuri, you are more than what I deserve”

“No Yoona, you deserve a lot more than what I’m giving you. So for that..” Yuri slowly bent down on her knees has she could feel the tears wanting to escape from her eyes

“Will you marry me? I know this isn’t the best proposal but it’s all I have. I wanted to show you all these places before I changed into the most and best lover you’ll ever have. I promise to love you with my all soul”

Yoona was obviously shocked with Yuri’s actions. She saw Yuri’s tears falling down off her cheek as hers were too. Yoona’s only happiness was Yuri.

“Yes” Yoona barely said as her voice cracked

She stabled herself and said it again making this time more clearer for the latter to hear.

Both of them started to get emotional and hugged each other tightly

“I’m sorry for hurting y-”

“It’s ok Yuri, all that matters is that we both love each other” Yoona cut her word

Yuri slowly pulled off the hug and slid the ring onto Yoona’s finger as they both kiss each other’s lips

In the car, Yuri could hear the latter quietly sobbing

“Why are you crying?” Yuri asked

“I’m just really happy ” Yoona wiped her tears with a napkin

“Don’t cry, ok?” Yuri leaned over to give a peck on Yoona’s cheek

At Home

“We're engaged!!” Yuri shouted across the house late at night as soon as they entered

Taeyeon and Tiffany both came out drowsy

“Congrats” They both tiredly said

“That’s its? No kisses or hugs?” Yuri complained

“....” TaeNy both glared at her and went back inside their room

Yoona and Yuri were both leaning on their bed’s backboard

“When should we do our wedding?” Yuri happily asked

“I don’t care as long it is soon” Yoona turned her face to the latter with a smile

“As you wish” Yuri scrolled through her phone

Time passed by while Yuri was looking for a date to arrange their wedding

“Great! We’ll be getting married next month”

“Really?”

Yuri happily nodded and leaned closer while holding the latter’s hands

“I can’t believe we're actually getting married” Yoona could see the sparkles in Yuri’s eyes as she said that

“I can’t wait to be your lover for the rest of our life” She tightly hugged Yoona

“You too” Yoona caressed Yuri’s head in their embrace

1 month later

“Dad, please don’t cry. You’re making me sad” Yoona said

“I’m sorry sweetie. I just can’t believe my daughter is all grown up now”

“Ms.Im, we are ready” One of the assistants announced

“Let’s go Appa” She smiled

Mr.Im sniffed in his tears and stabled himself

The doors opened as the bride and her father was walking down the aisle

Yuri’s eyes were amazed as her jaws dropped. Never has she seen anything so beautiful in front of her

Am I really getting married to this goddess? -Yuri thought

“You look very beautiful” Yuri whispered

“Thanks” Yoona blushed

The priest read out the bible until he finally said “You may kiss the bride”

Everyone clapped and was sent off to eat food, Yoona’s favorite part besides kissing her bride

“Yoona, you have to let the people eat first. What if we run out of food because you’re eating all of it?” Yuri said

Yoona was still munching

“But I’m hungry” She protested

Yuri sighed “I promise to give you a whole buffet”

“I can get that my own”

Yuri thought some more

“How about for a week?”

“Not good enough” Yoona was about to grab more food until the latter stopped her

“One month, my final offer”

“Really?”

Yuri nodded

“Deal”

How the hell am I gonna pay for all of this? I’ll be homeless by the time it hits a week” -Yuri thought

The couple bowed as people were congratulating them

“You two are so cute” Tiffany said in envy

“Don’t worry Tiffany, one day you’ll get your turn” Yuri took glances at Taeyeon

Yuri and Yoona were both sitting on their bed reading letters from their friends and family

“I can’t believe I’m married to you now” Yoona fell back

“You knew you were eventually going to” Yuri sat on top of the latter

“I’m just really happy I can share my whole entire life with you” She cupped her hands on Yuri’s cheeks

“I love you” Yuri smiled

“Love you too”  

2 months later

“Taeyeon, I’m so jealous of Yuri and Yoona’s wedding. They are so cute” Tiffany whined as they were walking

“Do you want to get married that badly?” Taeyeon asked annoyed

The latter nodded innocently

Taeyeon sighed and continued to walk away

“Go” She pointed

“What?”

“Go look”

Tiffany went over to the balcony to realize there was nothing

“What?”

“Do you like it?” Taeyeon said at a far distance

“There’s nothing”

Taeyeon walked over to the balcony and covered the latter’s eyes with her hand

“Now you see it?” She opened them

There were fireworks shooting out with the words Will You Marry Me?

Tiffany teared up and nodded with her hands covering in shock

She turned around to give a heart warming kiss to Taeyeon

We've finally reached the end!! I'm so so sorry for the late update. School has been stressful but I hope you enjoyed my first fanfic. I was planning to stop the story near chapter 20 but it ended up on chapter 39 xD. The title was The Art Of Drowning In Your Love so I tried connecting them with water. I don't know how long I will start another story, but thank you for reading the fanfic <333
