So I was rewatching Ailee and Ambers One Fine Day and I just couldn't help but ship Ailee and Eric when they were arguing about wearing couple clothes.

Also shout out to Duv318 for suggesting the pair at the same time I was gunna start this! You read my mind!

Prompt: Use the words 'I dare you'

"If you talk about that one more time I'll kick you out."

Amber and Kevin simply laughed, it was always fun to see Eric get so annoyed.

"Eric think about it. You have no dating ban, why not try dating again? It's been a while." Kevin continued as Amber nodded in the background. 

"Also," Amber began making sure Eric was looking at her, "it could help you stop being so grumpy all the time." 

Eric simply rolled his eyes and focused on the papers in his hands. "I'm not grumpy. Besides I'm already happy... Although I'd be happier if you'd let me concentrate on my notes."

Amber and Kevin looked at each other before turning their attention back to Eric. They were in his dressing room getting ready to film ASC. Amber had been invited as a special host and she was glad to be with her friends.

"I can set you up," Kevin finally said after a moment of silence. And to make his point clear he quickly pulled out his phone and began searching through the contacts.

"I'm not going on a blind date."

"Why? Is there someone you have in mind?"

Immediately Amber and Kevin began listing all their friends names.

"We can help you ask them out!"

Eric groaned knowing he wasn't going to get anything done with them around. "I have no one in mind. Besides I don't need to date to be happy."

"I know that. But it's been a while and I'm sure it'd do you good."

Eric simply ignored her. He knew that they had good intentions but dating wasn't a simple thing. He'd learned that the hard way...

"You either let us set you up or you ask the first person that walks through that door."

Now Eric was completely sure his friend was crazy. He wasn't about to ask just anybody out. Especially not an older producer who could walk in at any moment. 

"Absolutely not"

"I dare you"

Before anyone could say anything else the door opened.

"Hey guys!"

Amber was the first one to look at Eric. "I'm not asking Amy out."

Ailee looked at her friends in confusion. She was going to be the special guest today with the promotion of her new album. It really shouldn't have been a surprise to them when she came in.

"Did I miss something?" She asked taking a seat next to Eric on the couch. He gave her a smile before turning with a scowl to the other two. 

"We're trying to get Eric to date again," Amber said turning to face her best friend, "but he refuses to let us set him up."

"So I dared him to ask the first person who walked through the door," Kevin said finishing off. Ailee looked at her friends before settling her gaze on Eric.

"I'm hurt that you wouldn't ask me out," She mocked placing a hand over her heart. He shoved her playfully ignoring the stare Amber was giving him.

"I need to talk with Amy about some notes for the show so could you please leave us alone?" 

Amber was the first to get up, quickly followed by Kevin. As they walked out she made at point of turning around and giving him a thumbs up. He crumbled a nearby paper and through it at her but she closed the door faster with a laugh.

"So what notes are you going to show me?" Ailee asked moving closer to look over at his papers.

"None" he replied earning a confused look from her. "I just wanted them to leave and stop with the whole dating thing." She nodded in understanding and they sat in silence.

"I wouldn't say no."

It came out as a small whisper and for a moment Ailee thought he hadn't heard her.

"What?"

Taking a deep breath she repeated herself. "I wouldn't say no. You know if you ever asked me out."

He stared at her not sure if she was joking. She couldn't help but look away from the eye contact and focused instead on the floor, regretting her words. After what seemed like an eternity to her, he spoke.

"Are you serious?"

He didn't say it in a rude way and she noticed that he was genuinely confused. She shrugged lightly and responded, "Because I like you."

Eric himself felt like he was dreaming. He had to be hearing wrong. Amber and Kevin had clearly paid her to say she liked him, that had to be it. But looking at her he noticed she was serious and it was clear she was nervous. 

She glanced up slightly and saw he was in deep thought. The silence in the room was killing her and she moved slowly away from him. The sudden movement brought him out of his thoughts and he couldn't help but feel disappointed. He hadn't realized how comfortable he was with her so close. 

"Will you go out on a date with me?"

The moment the words were out he couldn't help but feel stupid at how sudden it had been. He stuttered trying to come up with a better way to ask her out but she simply smiled.

"Yes"

They didn't talk much afterwards as filming was to start soon. They casually talked as they walked on set but their friends could see that something was going on. They were almost sure the two were flirting but decided against saying anything.

"Who are you trying to impress?"

Kevin watched as Eric looked at himself in the mirror for what seemed like the millionth time. Filming had ended and he didn't see why Eric wanted to look so good.

"I'm going out to eat with a friend," Eric replied with a final glance at the mirror. Kevin stared at his friend excitedly, "A date?"

"Yeah"

A cheer filled the room as Kevin lunged for his phone and quickly dialed Amber. Eric ignored him already focused on his appearance again. In fact he was so focused he didn't hear when Kevin called out his name.

"What?"

"Amber says Ailee is also getting ready for a date..."

"And?"

"Are you two..." He trailed off not sure if to ask.

"Yes."

Finally satisfied with his look Eric walked towards the door and Kevin followed behind him. By now Kevin was completely excited for him and was rambling on about a future wedding.

"-I'll even pay for it. I'm sure the agency won't mind me spending money on something so important like this and-"

He was cut off by Eric. "Thanks"

"For what?"

"For that stupid dare. You finally did one thing right."

Kevin beamed with pride ignoring the last part.

"And I'll take you up on your offer in the future. There's a big possibility I'll need it."

So this update is super late. I was supposed to have it up two days ago but I just couldn't think of how to finish it. As you can tell I rushed the ending a bit. 

I almost deleted the story and was about to restart it but decided against it. I did write a really short story based off their interactions on One Fine Day so I'll probably upload that later on.
