Love triangle pair chosen with half the votes is... Jinyoung and Jb! Seems like people wanted to see what would happen between two friends. So excited for this!

Prompt: AU. Jinyoung and Jaebum are friends who fall in love with the same girl without realizing it. Jaebum and Ailee are coworkers while Ailee is a regular visitor at the library Jinyoung works in.

"Coffee just the way you like it."

From behind stacks of reports and random papers, Jaebum hears a soft snore. "Amy?"

Going around the desk he sighed upon spotting his coworker slouched across her desk fast asleep. She was a hard worker but he couldn't help but wish she would take care of herself more.

"What am I going to do with you?" He whispered, gently brushing aside a few strands of hair from her face. Her nose crinkled at his touch and he quickly pulled back his hand. Cute. When she didn't make a movement to wake up he instinctively reached out for her again. Carefully he outlined her face with his fingers, taking his time to admire her beautiful features. So beautiful it hurts.

With a final sigh he moves away before resting his hand on her shoulder and giving a light push. "Amy..."

She let's out a small groan before quickly turning her head away from him. He can't help but smile. So childish but so adorable.

"Amy. Time to get up."

This time her groan is much louder as she slowly lifts her head. She looks around the room, her eyes trying to get adjusted to the light. When she finally looks at him she's a bit more alert, and a quick arm stretch helps her feel more comfortable. "What do you want?"

He can't help but chuckle at her forwardness. "Is that how you treat me after I bought you coffee?"

Her mood switches immediately as she holds out her hands expectantly. Handing her the cup he watches as she takes a small sip and smiles. "Thank you. I needed it."

"I can tell. Want to tell me why you didn't go home last night?"

"Not really."

He rolls his eyes at her but clears a chair filled with papers and takes a seat in front of her. "Do you need help with all these reports?"

She shakes her head but he doesn't care. Reaching out to grab a file he begins to organize it. There's a moment of silence before she grabs another file and starts working on it. "I've told you before, you don't need to help me so much."

"Are you always so whiny in the morning?"

"I'm serious," she replies with a glare. It's not that she doesn't like him, she just hates seeing people do her work when she's perfectly fine. 

"I don't see why it's a big deal, Amy," he responds looking up at her. "We both benefit from this."

"How so?"

He thinks over his next words before smirking. "You don't have to pull an all nighter and I get to spend more time with you. It's a win-win."

Her face flushes bright pink as she looks back down at the file in her hands. The flirting is nothing new but she can't help admit that lately it was causing her heart to flutter.

"Doesn't seem like it benefits you much," she says trying to maintain a calm voice.

Leaning back on the chair he stares at her, a smile on his lips. "Just stay right there and trust me I'll be happy."

He doesn't return to his office, instead deciding to bring his work to hers.

"You really can't get enough of me can you?" Amy asks as she finishes her coffee. 

"Nope." 

"Well I admire the honesty."

They sit in comfortable silence, Amy trying to catch up on work as much as she can. As the piles on her desk begin to decrease she thanks god for Jaebum because honestly she wouldn't be here if it weren't for him. "Thank you. I owe you one."

"It's fine. I'm just glad to be of help," he replies concentrated on the papers in front of him.

"Let me make it up to you. Do you need help with anything?"

He finally looks up, massaging his neck as he thinks over her question. "How about we just have lunch together?"

"What?"

She looks at him confusion failing to see how that would help him.

"You said you owe me, right? Well I don't want to go to lunch alone."

"So you want me to go with you?"

"Yes."

It was a simple request and she didn't see a reason to say no. "Okay."

He smiled, focus back on his papers. "Perfect."

It wasn't their first time eating lunch together but it was the first time they'd pretended to be a couple.

Their server had taken quite a liking towards Amy and he wasn't doing a good job of hiding it. She simply smiled politely at his flirtatious actions before looking down at he menu. 

Across the table Jaebum eyed the server up and down. Who did he think he was? His eye twitches as the server gets closer to Amy, pointing at something on the menu and telling her he recommended it. She agrees politely and the guy smiles widely at her. Jaebum resists the urge to roll his eyes.

When he brings out their food Jaebum nearly explodes.

"A sandwich for you... and for the pretty lady, the best of the best."

 Oh no he didn't.

Immediately he reached for her hand on the table and interwined their fingers. She jumped slightly at the sudden contact and looked at him with bewilderment. 

He ignored  her stare as he locked eyes with the server. "Thank you. I'm sure my girlfriend and I will enjoy the meal."

The young man looked at him sheepishly before running off to help another table.

"Girlfriend?" Amy asks pulling back her hand. He let's go reluctantly before smiling. 

"He was getting annoying with his flirting."

"Thank you."

It had been uncomfortable for her and she was thankful for his quick thinking, but now she couldn't help but feel nervous. She found herself missing the warmth she'd felt when he'd grabbed her hand. 

"If he comes back just give me your hand."

She nods in understanding and they turn their attention to their food.

As they leave she spots the server by the door. Without thinking she reaches for Jaebums hand but he has other plans. Wrapping his arm around her waist, he pulls her closer to him and plants a small kiss on her temple. She feels her heartbeat increase as she leans her head on his shoulder. 

They don't separate even after they're a good distance away from the restaurant. It feels natural for them to be so close and when they finally reach the office they find it hard to pull away. 

"Umm thanks." She finally says after a moment of silence.

"Anything for you."

"Finally, time to go home."

Jaebum watches with amusement as Amy does her happy dance, or as much as she can do while still sitting.

"Do you need a ride home?" 

She thinks about it before shaking her head. "I'm headed to the library first."

"LIbrary?"

"Yeah I love going there to relax before going home."

He gives a nod as he puts away the last file. They walk out together, talking about their plans for the weekend. 

"See you Monday." She gives him a hug and the warmth from earlier returns.

"Be careful. Text me when you get there."

She nods, grateful to have such a caring friend. With a final goodbye they part, both with thoughts of each other.
