It was the wrap up party for Cook Up a Storm Macau filming, but Yonghwa couldn’t really enjoy the dinner. He did smile, chatted with happy tone and sometime nodded his head when his translator translates for him anytime the staffs and actors talk to him. But no one knew where his mind was. He also kept checking his phone whenever anyone was not talking to him. His phone suddenly vibrated. He didn’t have much confidence to be honest, since it just 2 days since he met Seohyun at SM. He glanced at his watch before checking the message he got. It was 23.10 pm Macau time, so it already midnight in Korea, What are you doing Joohyun? He thought.

He checked his phone, but he still disappointed knowing that it was from Jonghyun, not Seohyun, although he already thought that it was definitely not her.

About 10 minutes later, a message came again. This time he didn’t check immediately because of the party reaching its end. After finishing his goodbyes, he went back to the hotel and ready to take a shower when he remembers to check his phone. A really missed name displayed there: Hyun~. Yes, it was really Seohyun, his Joohyun. Yonghwa stood still for a moment but back to his sense after.

Hyun~: Do you have time to meet me?

Just a sentence but it made his heart fluttered but worried at the same time. He really wanted to call her but his mind told him not to. So he just sent message instead: I will be back tomorrow. I will be there whenever you call me.

Yes, he would fly back to South Korea the day after. Just because of Seohyun. Actually he still had appointment with the staffs, but it was not urgent that it could be pulled back. Even they could talk about it on the plane when the crews fly to Prague. He tried to book the first flight but the only remaining seat was on the economy class. He had thought to take it but Seohyun’s message canceled his plan. She wanted to meet him tomorrow night, so it means he didn’t need to take the earliest flight.

As soon as he landed in Gimpo Airport, he checked his phone. Nothing displayed there. He typed a message fast and sent it to the one he loved. He told her that he already landed. The reply that came almost immediately surprised him.

Hyun~   : I will tell you later.

Usually that kind of reply would annoy him, but for this situation, he was happy. Her message whatever it was would make him happy.

His manager drove him to FNC, to finish some matters. He was tired, yet he didn’t complaint. He never changes. After finishing the stuffs at afternoon, he asked his manager, Bruce, who already felt like his real Hyung, to drove him home. He unpacked his belongings and took a shower. It was already 6 pm so he fried two eggs to fill his stomach. He ate it while watching TV, like he always did. His phone suddenly vibrates, he thought that it was his manager or his dongsaengs, like the previous messages he got. But fortunately, it was Seohyun’s message that he really waited for.

Hyun~   : Oppa, I will have a meeting in SM soon. It will end at about 10, so can you pick me up? We can talk after that.

He was really excited. Not just because the fact that he would meet Seohyun soon, but also the message already seems friendly enough. He got good intuition for tonight. And he hoped for a good result.

10 pm is not late yet, so Yonghwa need to be really careful. He borrowed SM’s car to pick Seohyun up. It was not an easy task, he need to plead to some SM staffs. Fortunately he is close enough with the staffs and they also understand the need Yonghwa had. Yonghwa messaged Seohyun telling her that he already at the parking lot outside SM and what car he used. He then put a cap to hide his face although the car window is already dim.

Not long after 10pm, Seohyun who wore a white shirt inside a black cardigan entered the van. Most celebrity will use the back seat, but Seohyun is different. She seated on the front almost everytime she was only with her manager, and this made the date better. How if Yonghwa drive and Seohyun seat on the back?

“Annyeong, jaljinesseo?” Yonghwa initiated the first conversation right after they departed.

“Ne, I am fine, Oppaneun?” Seohyun smiled a genuine smile that felt reassuring for Yonghwa.

“Nado.” Yonghwa answered, Seohyun nodded, and silence followed.

“I heard that you will go to Prague after this. When will you go?” Yonghwa didn’t answer immediately, he was busy controlling his heartbeat. He was glad that Seohyun chose the long sentence instead just asking him when will he go. It was very easy to make Yonghwa happy, especially for Seohyun.

“Do you want to come with me Joohyunah?” He asked to , although he knew the answer: She wouldn’t.

“I still want to live, Oppa.” He liked to analyze her words, and it disturbed him. He knew that something like they date in public would really affect their live much, but must she said something like she can’t live? It is just her joke, he thought to easy himself.

“Kkk. Just kidding. I will fly at the 16.” Again, Seohyun just smiled and nodded her head. Silence again.

“Want to hear some songs? Radio?”Yonghwa asked her.

“I think radio is better for tonight.”

Their drive to Han River was accompanied with radio. During the drive, Seohyun just nodded her head following the beat, looked out of the window, or just looked straight to the road. While Yonghwa also did the same, nodded his head and sometime just tap the steering wheel with his finger. No one dared to talk anymore.

They arrived at one of the park near Han River. It was a quite park, so it was safe for them. Seohyun opened the car window,

“Uwa... the air is so fresh...” She inhaled much air, and then she faced Yonghwa.

“Hyun...”

“Oppa...” They both said almost in the same time.

“You are first.”

“Lady first.” Again, at the same time.

“Ani, you first.” Yonghwa said.

“Shireoyo. I want to hear what Oppa want to talk first. I will talk after I hear yours.”

“Okay,” Feeling he would never win this battle, he surrendered.

“Mianhae Joohyunah, I know I am on the fault.”

“Sorry for what?” As always, Seohyun wanted to hear how he explained things although she knew much about what Yonghwa mean.

“For Shinhye and Soyou matter. I can explain all, Hyun.”

“Then, will what already happened could change just because Oppa explain it all? Or, maybe you just want to easy your heart?” her tone didn’t change yet.

“Ani, it’s not what I mean. I think I need to explain what I must, and because all of it can be explained. Hyun...”

Seohyun surrendered, “Arasseoyo, I will try to hear your explanation.”

Then, Yonghwa told Seohyun about his relationship with Shinhye and Soyou, what happened with the text message-his joke about marrying Shinhye, why he did not meet her when both were in Korea, his dilemmas, why he did not sent any message when he landed in Japan, and soon.

“Jinjja, mianhae Hyun.”

“Anieyo Oppa. Actualy when I agree to meet you, I have forgotten all. Ani, I try to. Because I knew I don’t have any right to be angry. Who am I?” Hearing those words, his heart felt her pain. The way she said is so Seohyun, but he felt some sarcasm there. Who is she for me? Of course my only love, but who is she for me in others eye? I never give her assurance. It’s my fault. He gained his sense after hearing Seohyun continue her words.

“That’s why you do not need to explain it, Oppa. But yeah, you already did, and now I want to say thank you, and no need to explain more.” She smiled, and i make it harder for Yonghwa.

“Keundae Hyun...”

“Oppa...”Seohyun cut him.

“What?”

“Stop saying mianhae”

“Keundae...”

“Oppa, let’s start anew.” Yonghwa really didn’t get what she wanted to say. He was really confused.

“What do you mean?”

“Forget what happened, anything happened since I met Shinhye Eonni. Let’s act like usual, ne? I am tired already...”

Given his personality, Yonghwa still thought that it was not right. But he couldn’t refuse Seohyun’s request, because it started because of him, because of his cowardness.

“Jinjja it is what you really want?”

“Ne...”

“Arasseo keroem.” Yonghwa agreed. He smiled, and she did the same. They made eye contact, until Yonghwa held Seohyun’s hand, and their gazes fell to their intertwined hands. Their smiles still there, tough.

“Gomawo, Hyun...”

It was a bit late so they decided to go home. On their way, they talked, smiled, laughed, acted lovey-dovey, like nothing happened before. Sometime they held hands, took glances, and soon. They acted like a couple went back from vacation, despite the fact that they were not officially a couple yet. It stayed like that, although the rest was already changed.

A little bit pass 12, they arrived at Seohyun’s parent’s apartment parking lot. It was her day to stay at her parent’s. Before Seohyun got off, Yonghwa braved himself to ask the thing he always wanted to ask since they got back together. “Joohyun ah, you know... hm... you said that there was something else besides my joke with Shinhye and my encounter with Soyou. What is it? What are they?”

Seohyun’s expression changed, “Oppa... we agreed not to talk about these things anymore.”

“But it really burdens me Joohyunah, at least I must explain it if there is something to explain.”

“You want to make excuses?”

“Aniya... keunyang...i don’t want you to misunderstand anymore.”

“Keureuyo?”

“But you still not tell me.”

“Oppa, should we argue right after we make up?”

“Andwe. We can’t. We should not. But I must know what I did wrong so that I can fix it”

She sighed, he muted.

“Arraseo, I will not ask again. Mianhae, jinjja mianhae. Forgive me, eoh? It’s my fault, I am too selfish. Mianhae Joohyunah. You can go now, your parents must be waiting you.”

“Anieyo. I will tell you.” She knew very well that he would think it for a long time although he didn’t ask her. She knew very well, since she did it too all the time.

“Actually, what I mean that time is... hm... It was still about Shinhye Eonni.” She was a bit hesitant, but she told him in the end. About the time Yonghwa changed their group chat name on Shinhye’s birthday, about her complaints towards him, and soon. But she knew her place, so she didn’t cross that line. The line between an official and an unofficial lover.

 She felt light after telling Yonghwa her mind, and Yonghwa felt more apologetic towards her. He promised her to not do the same things and she want to say he shouldn’t promise her. Promises just made your hope higher, but her heart said no. She wanted that hope, so she just smiled and nodded when he said his promises. She excuses herself, and he gave her a tiny hug inside the car. “Good night...” he said.

Seohyun walked to the elevator, she seemed happy, but actually her mind was still complicated. She still tried to forget and to think positively. But the other side of her told her that she should prepare herself if Yonghwa just consider her as his friend, to prepare her heart to not broken painfully.

On the other hand, Yonghwa drove home with his awful state of mind. He still felt that this is not right. He knew very well what actually Seohyun want, because he wanted to give her that, really. But he still couldn’t give that security and showed much affection to her. He could not make them official, yet. He believed that the right time did not come yet. Maybe next time, and he keep praying so that Seohyun is still there for him when he is ready.

He hoped...

But who knows?

Note : another update! I hope this is long enough to apologize my late update. I have promised to write 5 chapters right? And it is already the 5th... do you satisfied? Is it still hanging? Kkk... Do not worry everyone... this story is not end yet. Because I added a chapter (chapter4) so this will be 6 chaptered story. And the next update will be the last part...
