It all started with Jiae’s questionable text.

I saw her, Jongie….

That was what the text said, leaving a confused look on Sungjong’s face after he read it.

Sungjong then proceeded to reply to his bestfriend’s text. And Jiae’s next reply made Sungjong even more puzzled.

I saw her, I saw Jisoo….

There was no way Jiae’s words could be true. After all, Jisoo- Jiae’s mate had passed away during their second year of highschool due to illness.

And so now Sungjong and Jiae ended up in NIT restaurant, their usual meeting place with the others. Soojung was also there with them, ready to listen to Jiae’s story.

“So….” Sungjong hesitantly started as he glanced at Soojung, unsure of what to say because he did not want to hurt Jiae’s feelings. He and Soojung knew that topics regarding Jisoo were very sensitive for Jiae. Much like how topics regarding Howon were to Sungjong. “It was her!” Jiae’s sudden outburst surprised both Sungjong and Soojung. “It was her….. Jisoo-ya… she… she is still here; she is still alive….” Jiae then began sobbing, making a few other visitors of the restaurant started glancing at them.

As both Sungjong and Soojung tried to calm Jiae down, a girl, clad in a highschool uniform entered the restaurant with her friends. She passed by Sungjong, Jiae, and Soojung as she made her way with her friends to the empty table. That was when Jiae looked up, and her eyes met the girl’s. The eyes that she missed so much, so much more than anything.

Jiae wanted to just stand up, run towards her, pulled her into her arms, and tell her how much she missed her.

But then she heard one of the girl’s friends calling her name.

That was what she called her as.

She was not Jisoo.
