"Oh."

Jieun and Yoongi stood in front of each other awkwardly as they stopped abruptly. They had coincidentally ran into each other in the halls of a broadcasting station, and they couldn't imagine meting each other like this. They blushed, a bit embarrassed as the memory of their kiss popped back into their heads. Jieun shyly looked away while Yoongi rubbed the back of his neck in an awkward manner.

However, they didn't have time to find the right words to say. Jieun's manager, Junghyun, shot a glare at Yoongi, giving him a sign to stop the warm atmosphere and to act like strangers or, at the very most, co-workers. Yoongi gulped nervously and clenched his teeth together while Jimin, who was behind him, popped up and greeted Jieun with a warm smile.

"Jieun! Hi!" Jimin exclaimed. He took a quick step and grabbed her hands, shaking them. Yoongi eyed their little handshake with envy. "What are you doing here?"

"U-Um…" Jieun looked at Yoongi before giving her attention to Jimin. She gave him a small smile. "I'm here to see if I can get a deal with this composer. It's for my next single—"

"Your next single? Oh, you have to let me know when that comes out, okay? I want a signed copy," Jimin said. He paused. "Jungkook would probably want one, too."

Jieun nodded. "I will. I'll let you know."

She looked past Jimin and looked at Yoongi. She pressed her lips, trying to think of a way to start a conversation with him, but Jimin quickly grabbed her attention by squeezing her hand and gesturing her to Hoseok and Namjoon, who were standing behind Yoongi.

"Have you met Hoseok and Namjoon? Oh wait, you did, right? At your debut stage?" Jimin asked. Jieun nodded. She exchanged greetings with the two other boys.

"Ah, she's cute!" Hoseok exclaimed. Jimin and Yoongi gave him a wide-eyed look. "She's a lot cuter than I remember!"

"Aren't you a year younger than her?" Yoongi mumbled.

"What does age have to do with anything?" Jimin asked. "She is cute. She's like a little doll."

"Yeah, Yoongi," Namjoon said. "She's cute, right?"

Yoongi shot him a glare, knowing clearly from his grin that he was teasing him. Namjoon chuckled and continued to observe Jieun quietly.

"Aw, come on, Yoongi. Don't be so mean. Say that she's cute with us," Hoseok said, giving the stoic boy a small nudge with his elbow. Yoongi grunted and continued to refuse, but his ears were bright red from embarrassment. Jimin and Namjoon quickly took note of this in silence, but Hoseok had other ideas. A wide, goofy grin appeared on Hoseok's lips. "Oh? Yoongi, your ears are su—per red!"

The mint-haired boy growled. "Shut the hell up, Hoseok. You're being a lot more annoying than I'd like you to be."

"Come on! Just tell her that she's cute already! Look at her cheeks! They're just asking for you to pinch them!" Hoseok exclaimed.

Jieun let out an awkward laugh. Her cheeks were slightly pink, feeling embarrassed over hearing these words. The endless flattery of "cute" just made her feel weird inside. Maybe it was because she wasn't used to such compliments when she heard it verbally. She had often seen her fans comment about her cuteness and her innocence, but those were just words that she had seen online. She had never actually heard them call her "cute" before.

"Come on, Yoongi! It's just a small compliment," Hoseok said, now locking his arm around Yoongi's neck and poking his cheeks.

Yoongi scowled and continued to resist until he saw Jieun's manager. The manager didn't seem to dislike the boys' behavior. Rather, he was just watching everyone in silence, probably hoping that Jieun would befriend them to the point where she could use them for future purposes.

That's right, he thought. I won't be able to tell Jieun that I like her if he's around, unless…

He kept awfully quiet, causing the boys to wonder what was going on in his head. After a moment of peace, Yoongi shoved Hoseok away. Hoseok lightly laughed, knowing that he had pissed off his hyung.

"Alright, I'm sorry," Hoseok said, still smiling. "I guess I went to far—"

"She's cute."

There was a moment of silence. The atmosphere completely changed, even though Yoongi wasn't directly looking at Jieun when he said those words. Hoseok smiled dumbly, but wasn't sure what else to say.

"Um, did I hear you right?" Hoseok asked slowly.

"She's cute," Yoongi mumbled. He slowly gazed upwards and locked eyes with Jieun's pure brown orbs. "You're cute."

Jimin almost bursted into laughter. His cheeks slightly puffed up and a little bit of spit escaped from his lips, but he quickly covered his ridiculous smile with his hands. He chuckled silently to himself, enjoying the sight of Yoongi breaking down in sheer embarrassment.

This is great! Jimin cried out in his head. This is amazing! Never in my life have I ever been so happy! I'm so glad Jieun is here—

Jimin's smile slowly shrunk back until it formed a thin line. He stared at Jieun, who seemed nearly paralyzed when she had heard Yoongi compliment her. Instead of pink, her cheeks were burning red. She blushed right away without a moment of hesitation. It was as if she had found his compliment to be completely endearing, even though the other guys had used the same exact compliment towards her. She looked like she was on cloud nine, floating in bliss. Her eyes were glued on Yoongi's, and Yoongi had his eyes boring straight into hers.

Jimin didn't like it one bit.

An awful feeling stirred in his stomach. There was a brief instant of absolute devastation. Something about the way she looked at Yoongi made something snap in Jimin's little heart. He just didn't like the way she looked at Yoongi. At least, not with those eyes. The eyes she had now didn't even show an ounce of hatred.

I don't want to see that, Jimin thought as he subconsciously pulled her arm, forcing her to look his way. He only stared down at her in silence while Jieun turned her attention towards him, waiting for him to say something. When he didn't say anything, she cleared .

"Um, Jimin?" She called him in her delicate, silvery voice. Jimin continued to stare at her. "What's wrong?"

The gaze she had given to Yoongi was different from the gaze she was giving to him. He frowned deeply.

"Nothing," he murmured. "Nothing is wrong."

"Well, gentlemen," Junghyun said, clapping his hands to gather the four boys' attention. "I'm sure you must be busy, so we'll leave you be."

"Oh, right. We have to go somewhere for a photoshoot," Namjoon said. He bowed at the manager. "Sorry for taking up so much of your time."

"Are you going to just get a song?" Jimin asked Jieun.

"Yes. The company is thinking of making me write the lyrics," Jieun explained.

"Really? Then why don't you get Yoongi to help you?" Hoseok asked.

"What?" Yoongi asked, surprised.

"I-I'm sure Yoongi is very busy—"

"Nonsense. We've got a lot of people in our group who composes songs and writes them. I'm sure we can do well without Yoongi for a few hours." Hoseok looked at Yoongi with a grin. "Maybe a few days, even."

Yoongi frowned. "What are you scheming, Hoseok?"

"Nothing, nothing!" Hoseok exclaimed.

"I don't think this is a very good idea," Jieun said quietly.

"Same. I don't like," Jimin chirped in.

"Why?" Namjoon asked.

Jimin paused. "I don't know. I just don't like it."

"Look, if we get Yoongi to help Jieun out with her single, then we might be able to let you temporarily replace Yoongi's spot in making the lyrics and everything," Hoseok said, trying to bait Jimin to agree.

"That's a terrible idea," Yoongi said. "You're just going to make me rewrite everything."

"I'm okay with it. I think our group can use a little bit of the other member's thoughts," Namjoon said, nodding his head. Although putting Yoongi and Jieun alone doesn't seem like a good idea… I should probably check up on them once in a while.

Jimin pressed his lips, frowning in annoyance. As much as he didn't like the idea of Yoongi being alone with Jieun, he couldn't help but be tempted to agree to Hoseok's idea. After all, if Yoongi was gone, that would mean that his lyrics might be used in their songs and that he might finally be able to prove to the world that he wasn't useless.

I'm so sorry, Jieun! I know you…hate…Yoongi, but for my sake, just bear with him for a little! Jimin thought in his head. He looked at Hoseok and raised his thumbs up. "That sounds like an awesome idea. I approve."

"Wait, wait, guys," Yoongi said, still frowning. "I don't approve. Where's my say in this?"

"Too bad. This is the majority," Hoseok said. He looked at Jieun's manager. "Will you be okay with this, sir?"

Junghyun frowned and thought deeply about the situation. On normal circumstances, he would think that getting some advice from a talented self-composer and lyricist would be a good idea. He wouldn't hesitate with Jieun learning from such an idol. However, Yoongi was a different case. He was well aware that Yoongi and Jieun shared some sort of mutual feelings.

If I watch over them, then I'm sure nothing will happen, the manager thought. He slowly nodded his head. "Fine. I'm okay with this."

"Wait, guys, wait—"

"Then it's settled!" Hoseok exclaimed, clasping his hands together. "When is Jieun free? Yoongi is free tomorrow."

"Jieun doesn't have anything tomorrow, either," Junghyun said.

"Then that's perfect! Here…"

As Hoseok and Junghyun exchanged quick informations, Yoongi groaned. He sulked a bit, feeling a it frustrated about how he didn't have a voice. However, he stole a glance at Jieun, who seemed slightly pale. She didn't look too comfortable with the idea, even though she was blushing just a few minutes ago. He took a quick note of this in his head before the group separated into their own private business.

Chapter 25: Omg.. This is seriously a masterpiece. I've been searching for IUxSuga fics and never find any then someone recommend your story and I think I'm falling in love with your story. It was beautifully written, especially during their high school days. Honestly it's very touching and made me kinda emotional. I can picture it as a movie. It must be dope... Anyway, I was hoping that you'll considering to make another IUxSuga fics again since IU just release her new song featuring Suga. Please, please do that... I'm really looking forward to your future project authornim. You're the best... ^^

Chapter 25: We will decide your decision to end the story..to be honest real life story kind of hard to have a perfect ending because..you know life is full of wonder and not like supernatural fic or thriller because these genres have a main plot which the story focuses so naturally the story ends when the focus comes to an end or accomplished. .
Aside from that..finally a jungkook iu story? Omg...funny thing is I'm also drafting a jungkook iu story..at first gd was the second male lead..but I think its shifting away from that...but I hope this doesn't change your mind of writing one with these characters. .I'm desperate for good iu stories T.T but personally not a big fan of umbrella couple..anyway all the best!
