Elevator

Graphite on Paper

"Welcome back! Just a brief summary of what happened before the break: we have a special guest, IU, here for a small interview. She's been wowing the nation—"

"Change the radio."

"What?"

"I said change it to some other channel."

"But Yoongi, I like this show—"

"I said change it!" Yoongi hollered.

The manager stared at him in disbelief, but stopped immediately when he noticed that the light turned red. The car screeched and the boys lunged forward before colliding back to their seats. The group groaned while the manager briefly turned around to look at Yoongi, who crossed his legs and looked out the window in annoyance.

"What's wrong with you?" the manager asked him, adjusting his round glasses.

"All I'm asking you is to to change the ing radio," Yoongi repeated, glaring at the manager.

"Do you know what's wrong with him?" The manager looked at the other members, who shrugged their shoulders. He looked at Seokjin, who was sitting next to him at the front. "Do you know anything?"

"He might be in a bad mood because Jimin ruined his birthday party," Seokjin muttered.

"You're saying that this is my fault?" Jimin asked, raising his eyebrow.

"Well, you knew not to invite that girl—"

"I was being considerate."

"Shut up!" Yoongi snapped. He shot a glare at Jimin, who smirked and looked away. Then, he looked at the manager and Seokjin, who flinched at the boy's cold sight. "Change the radio."

"I got it, I got it," the manager muttered. He changed the channel to a classic station. Classical music hummed out of stereo, which led Yoongi to groan. "What?"

"You had to pick classical music?" Yoongi asked. "Are you trying to put us to sleep?"

"You know what?" The manager turned off the radio and glared at Yoongi from the mirrors as he started to drive again. "I don't like your attitude today." He briefly looked at Seokjin. "Do you like his attitude?" Seokjin shook his head. He looked at Yoongi through the mirrors again. "See? Even Seokjin doesn't like your attitude today."

"I'm not in the mood to talk about my feelings," Yoongi said, adding a sigh at the end of his sentence.

"What are you talking about? You're always talking about your feelings. ' this, that, everything'—"

Yoongi almost swung a fist at Jimin, who snickered and continued to mock him. The mint-haired groaned loudly and used his hands to cover his ears. He continued to look out the window, watching the world pass by while everyone tried to keep Jimin quiet in the back.

"…What?"

"What do you mean 'What?'"

"You keep staring at me. Why?"

"I'm trying to figure out if anything big happened at that party—"

Jieun groaned and rolled her eyes. "Manager, I thought I said that nothing happened!"

"Oh, bull!" the manager cried out loud. "Who's going to believe in that? Seriously, what happened there?"

"I said nothing!" she exclaimed. "Look, can we just talk about my next schedule?"

"That's a good question: can we?"

"Please stop. Please," Jieun said, sighing. "I'll be embarrassed if someone comes into this elevator and hears you ranting on and on about this."

The manager faked a laugh, but stopped when the elevator stopped. The two looked at the number, then looked at the door open. Jieun widened her eyes when she saw Yoongi standing right in front of the elevator doors. He looked up, made a small gasp of surprise, then scowled. The two people he was accompanied with—Hoseok and Jimin—walked into the elevator. Jieun squeezed into the corner while the manager protectively stood next to her just in case.

The group was about to close the elevators, but Hoseok stopped and continued to press the "open" button. He looked up and stared at Yoongi, whose eyes were still on Jieun.

"Aren't you coming in?" Hoseok asked him.

"Please hurry," the manager said. "We have a busy schedule. If you're not coming in, then we'll be more than happy to take the stairs."

Yoongi looked at the tall manager. He squinted his eyes, then looked at Jieun.

"Unbelievable," he muttered, looking away. He turned to Hoseok and Jimin. "You guys go first. I'll take the stairs or something."

"What are you talking about? We're going several floors down, and there's a ton of space in here," Hoseok said. "You don't want our manager to yell at us or anything, do you? Come on, hurry inside."

Yoongi scoffed. " me…"

He took a deep breath, swallowing his pride while stepping into the elevator. He made sure that he was standing as far as he could from where Jieun was. The door closed, and the group waited to arrive at their destination.

Jimin looked at Yoongi and Jieun in amusement. He found it interesting how the two refused to look at each other. He had missed seeing the small drama between Yoongi and Jieun on the day of his birthday party since he went out to buy cake, but he was genuinely pleased when he came back seeing a peeved Yoongi muttering curses behind the girl's back.

It's too bad that I wasn't there to greet her, he thought. I would've rushed her inside and tried to make her stay as long as possible. He looked up at the ceiling. Now that I think about it, I should talk to her.

"Are you…IU?" Jimin said, leaning forward a bit to see her. He smiled. "IU! It's me, Jimin!"

Jieun forced a smile. "Ah, hello…"

"Hey, sorry that I wasn't there to be with you at Yoongi's party. I went out a bit. When I came back, I heard that you were gone," Jimin said. His smile widened and mischief covered his eyes. "What happened? Why'd you leave so quickly?"

Jieun stiffened while Yoongi started to feel small. The manager raised an eyebrow in amusement, interested in the story. Hoseok blinked his eyes, obviously confused with the situation.

"N-Nothing," Jieun stuttered. "I just thought that it'd be awkward for me to stay at a party where I didn't know anyone…"

Something about her words made Yoongi feel extremely peeved. He scoffed loudly, making sure she had heart him. When Jieun looked at him to see if he had to say anything, he looked away, brushing her away as if she wasn't important. Jieun frowned, irritated.

"What?" she snapped. "If you have something to say, say it."

Hoseok and Jimin widened their eyes, shocked with her odd behavior. Junghyun's eyes grew wide, appalled that she was trying to pick a fight with one of the most popular group in the current entertainment business.

Yoongi scoffed again, this time dripping it with mockery. He finally turned around, facing Jieun's leer.

"What should I say to someone like you, hm?" he asked. "Is there any reason to why I have to say something to someone who I don't know?"

Oh boy, oh boy! This is great! Jimin thought. He was beyond thrilled to see Yoongi picking a fight with someone. Finally! Someone finally got the guts to talk back at the stupid mint-haired boy!

"Then why are you talking to someone who you never met?" she asked, sticking her tongue out.

"Maybe because that person called me out first." Yoongi faked a laugh. "I seriously thought you were going to say something clever. Is this all you've got? Wow, pathetic."

"Only the pathetic ones will call others pathetic," Jieun countered.

"You're in denial. If someone calls you pathetic, you should just accept that they're right."

"Oh really? Then you're pathetic, t—"

The elevator stopped. The doors opened. The manager quickly grabbed Jieun's arm. He quickly feigned a laugh and bowed at the three BTS members.

"I'm so sorry about her behavior! She's not in her good mood this week!" The manager shoved Jieun out of the elevator. "Well then, it was nice meeting you!"

The three boys gave the manager a small nod. The door closed before they had the chance to bow at the manager. Once the elevator started moving again, Junghyun sighed and turned around to Jieun, who bit her bottom lip. She knew that she was in trouble. It was evident that she was going to receive a scolding from the manager.

"So that's what happened, huh?" Junghyun said. "You were dumb and picked a fight with BTS's Suga."

"He started it," Jieun murmured.

"Jieun!" Junghyun shouted, causing her to flitch. "I don't care who started it, okay? You're in no position to argue against anyone who's higher than you in terms of popularity. One negative word from BTS can crush you, Jieun. Crush you. Do you want your career to die off just like that?" Jieun shook her head. "That's what I thought." He sighed. "I've got to think of something. We need to give him an apology gift and get him to be on your good side again."

Jieun widened her eyes. "But I don't want to see him again—"

"Lee Jieun!" the manager snapped. He flicked his fingers against her forehead, causing her to yelp in pain.

"Ow! Ow, ow, ow!" she cried out, rubbing her sore forehead rapidly. She glared at Junghyun from the corner of her eyes. "Manager, this isn't fair!"

"What isn't fair?" he asked innocently, taking out his phone to check on her next schedule.

"I mean, how could you think of hitting me when it wasn't my fault?"

"What do you mean it wasn't your fault? It was obviously your fault!"

"He started it!" she repeated.

The manager raised his fingers, ready to flick her forehead. She flinched and closed her eyes, but the manager only flicked his fingers besides her ears. He smirked and she only pouted.

"Come on, now," the manager said, turning to a specific direction. "We need to go to your next schedule."

Junghyun started to walk away. Jieun stared at him for a long time, watching his back grow smaller and smaller. Then, she gave one final rub to her forehead and turned to catch up with her manager.

"It was still his fault," she muttered to herself, running up to her manager.

Back at the elevator, Yoongi still held an annoyed expression. Jimin stifled a laugh, extremely pleased with the results. Hoseok awkwardly stood between them, unsure of how to feel. At one point, Hoseok started to feel worried over Yoongi's irrational behavior, but another side of him wanted to join Jimin to laugh in pure delight.

"Shut the hell up, Jimin!" Yoongi snapped, glaring at the younger boy.

"What? It was funny," Jimin said, smiling.

"It's not funny if you're the only one laughing. Hoseok's not laughing," Yoongi pointed out.

"I'm kind of shocked, Yoongi. I mean, I know you have a bad mouth, but…" Hoseok looked away, unable to finish his sentence.

"But what?" Yoongi asked, frowning at him.

"Well, basically, what happened back there? Like, everyone knows that it takes huge guts to talk to you like that." Hoseok gave Yoongi a small nudge. "What's your relationship with her, huh?"

"I don't have anything to do with her," Yoongi muttered, looking away.

Hoseok turned to Jimin. "Do you know anything? You seem pretty close with her."

"All I know is that if you put her and Yoongi together, you get a whole lot of fun," Jimin said, smiling.

Yoongi looked at Jimin. "Oh, right! Thanks for reminding me that I should be straggling you right now for inviting her to my party on my ing birthday."

"Pft. You can't do that," Jimin said, smirking.

Before Yoongi had the chance to lunge towards the younger boy, the elevator doors opened. A few more idols and staffs approached the doors, forcing the boys to be squeezed against the back of the elevator. Yoongi looked up after the doors closed, trying to figure out where Jimin was. He spotted Jimin at the other side of the elevator, sticking his tongue out at Yoongi for not being able to touch him.

Oh, he's so dead when we get off, Yoongi thought, glowering at him.

Chapter 25: Omg.. This is seriously a masterpiece. I've been searching for IUxSuga fics and never find any then someone recommend your story and I think I'm falling in love with your story. It was beautifully written, especially during their high school days. Honestly it's very touching and made me kinda emotional. I can picture it as a movie. It must be dope... Anyway, I was hoping that you'll considering to make another IUxSuga fics again since IU just release her new song featuring Suga. Please, please do that... I'm really looking forward to your future project authornim. You're the best... ^^

Chapter 25: We will decide your decision to end the story..to be honest real life story kind of hard to have a perfect ending because..you know life is full of wonder and not like supernatural fic or thriller because these genres have a main plot which the story focuses so naturally the story ends when the focus comes to an end or accomplished. .
Aside from that..finally a jungkook iu story? Omg...funny thing is I'm also drafting a jungkook iu story..at first gd was the second male lead..but I think its shifting away from that...but I hope this doesn't change your mind of writing one with these characters. .I'm desperate for good iu stories T.T but personally not a big fan of umbrella couple..anyway all the best!
