Confetti rained down on the seven boys as they stepped up to the center of the stage to accept their awards. As Seokjin and Namjoon began making their speeches, Hoseok, Jimin, and Taehyung started to fool around with the trophies. Yoongi stood next to Jungkook, who wasn't doing much but smiling at the older boys fool around.
Not sure why they're so happy, Yoongi thought. We've won several awards before.
He glanced behind him, only to notice that Jieun was standing in the far back, staring at him. She shook a bit, startled, but then shot a glare at him. Yoongi narrowed his eyes, then gave her a smug grin while pointing at the trophy. She returned the smile by sticking out her tongue, which only made him more annoyed. He was about to continue the argument until Namjoon tapped on his shoulder and shoved the microphone in front of his face. Yoongi looked at the audience for a moment, trying to figure out what was going on before he spoke up.
"Uh, thank you to our fans," Yoongi said. "We love you, ARMYs!"
The audience erupted into cheers as the Music Bank's MCs thanked him for his short speech. Yoongi turned around, ready to continue his argument with Jieun before noticing that the song was starting and that she had already left the stage. He continued to look behind him, trying to search for any trace of her whereabouts before rapping his lines.
Jimin glanced at Yoongi, then back at the crowd of idols behind them. He, too, tried to look for Jieun, but couldn't find her at all.
I'll talk to her after the show, Jimin decided. He turned to the audience while raising the trophy. "Thank you, ARMYs!"
As the fan continued to recite their fan chant, the seven boys walked around the stage, singing their song once again until everyone slowly left the building.

"Hey, IU!" Jimin called out. His group stared at him while he ran off to talk to the fellow singer. Jieun turned around, noticing Yoongi first before anyone else. She looked at him for a few seconds before realizing that it was Jimin would had called out to her.
She forced a smile and bowed. "Hello."
"Are you doing anything after this?" Jimin asked casually. "If you want, we can eat dinner together. How does that sound?"
Everyone widened their eyes. Yoongi stared at Jieun, anticipating on her answer.
Jieun awkwardly looked at Jimin with an apologetic look. "Um, I don't know. I don't think my manager would allow it."
"Besides, don't you have something else after this?" Yoongi blurted loudly. Jimin shot him a glare, but he looked away.
“It’s dinner. I can make it to dinner,” Jimin said. He turned back to Jieun with a huge smile. “How about it? I’d love to spend some time talking to you.”
“I, um, really don’t know,” Jieun murmured.
“Would you go if I invited Yoongi?” Jimin asked her.
Jieun and Yoongi quickly widened their eyes. Both of their cheeks turned to a vague shade of pink.
“W-Why would I go if turtle-haired goes?” Jieun blurted. Kill me now.
Yoongi narrowed his eyes. “Yeah, why should I go with monkey-face?”
“I take that back. You’re not a turtle-haired.” She narrowed her eyes. “You’re have frog hair.”
“Frogs don’t have hair, stupid,” Yoongi snapped.
“I meant the color, idiot,” Jieun fired back.
“Enough,” Namjoon said seriously. “Jimin, you have dinner with her alone. Don’t drag Yoongi into this.”
Jieun felt a sharp pain stab through her chest. She knew that the leader of BTS was just looking out for , but she didn’t like his tone. It made it seem as if she was being a bother to Yoongi, and that was the least thing she wanted.
“You sure you don’t want to join?” Jimin asked.
“I’m good,” Yoongi said. He walked past her, bumping his shoulder against hers.
Jieun scoffed quietly to herself, then glanced behind her shoulders. The other BTS members started to follow Yoongi, leaving Jimin alone with the rookie singer. Jimin smirked at Yoongi, then looked down at Jieun, who continued to stare off at the direction where Yoongi had left.
He wasn’t sure why, but he didn’t like the gaze she had in her eyes. His heart tugged a little before he mentally brushed away the feeling and smiled cheeringly at Jieun.
“So,” Jimin continued, “dinner tonight?” He tilted his head a little, trying to charm her. “My treat.”
Jieun opened , then closed it. Forcing a small smile, she slowly shook her head.
“I’m sorry, but I don’t think dinner tonight is a good idea,” Jieun said. “My manager won’t allow me to have dinner with a male idol alone.”
“Ah, right,” Jimin said, slowly nodding his head. “You have that pure image to keep up.” He paused, then smiled. “Do you mind if I call you ‘Jieun’ instead?”
She looked at him. “Excuse me?”
“I just feel like since we’re practically friends and on the same side, we should just call each other by our real names,” Jimin said. “You know, be friendly. You’re two years older than me, but I’m your senior in the world of entertainment. I just thought that it’d be fair to call each other by our names.”
Jieun thought about what he said. After a moment of pondering, she nodded her head, agreeing to his deal. Jimin smiled, extremely pleased.
“Alright, so I’ll call you ‘Jieun,’ okay Jieun?” he said, testing it out.
“Okay, Jimin,” Jieun said casually. His smile faded, and she took quick notice of it. “Should I not call you by your name? Is it worry?”
“No, it’s just that you said it so fast, I wasn’t able to soak it in,” Jimin said. He playfully leaned closer. “Say it again.”
“Jimin,” she repeated, this time a bit slower.
Ba-thump.
Jimin felt his heart squeeze. He quickly backed away, shocked with the way he reacted. He blinked his eyes, staring at Jieun for a long time. She stared back innocently, unsure of how to interpret his reaction.
“Did I say something wrong again?” Jieun asked. She sighed. “Maybe it’s just better for me to—“
“No!” he exclaimed, raising his voice quickly. Jieun stared at him, surprised. With his ears turning red, he cleared his throat and looked away. “I-I like it. You don’t have to change a thing.” Then, in a quiet voice, he whispered, “J-Just say it one more time. One more time.”
Jieun frowned. “Um…Jimin?”
Hs heart skipped a beat again. Satisfied, he smiled at her.
“Alright. I should get going now,” Jimin said. “We’ll have dinner next time, okay?”
Jieun nodded and watched him skip away. She stared at him for a few more seconds before shaking her head and meeting up with her manager.
The BTS members are a bit strange, she thought. She giggled a bit. Maybe it’s because Yoongi’s rubbing off on them. He’s always the strange one—Her cheeks turned red—and the cute one.

In the car, while the members were waiting for Jimin to return, Yoongi tapped his foot frantically against the floor. He chewed on his bottom lip, glaring out the window and emitting a dark vibe. Namjoon glanced at everyone, who waited for him to say something to him. If anything, Namjoon could sense that the reason why Yoongi was in such a bad mood was probably because of him.
Does Jimin like Jieun romantically? Yoongi wondered. Does that mean that they're dating?
"Uh…Jungkook," Namjoon said, tapping on the boy who sat next to Yoongi, "you say something."
Jungkook widened his eyes. "Me? Why me?"
"Yeah, say something," Taehyung agreed.
"What do I say?" Jungkook whispered.
In a few minutes, Jimin opened the door, casually entering the car. The boys—except for Yoongi—stared at him, waiting for him to say something interesting. Jimin, who noticed that he was being stared at, slowly looked behind him.
"What?" he asked.
"So are you dating her?" Taehyung asked. Yoongi looked up to listen.
"Me? Her? Oh, no. We're kind of like…crime partners," Jimin said, glancing at Yoongi.
"So you're going to eat dinner with her tonight?" Jungkook asked.
"Oh, no. She has plans," Jimin said. Yoongi let out a sigh of relief. "What?"
"Nothing," Yoongi said. He covered his mouth with his hand and looked out the window, hiding a relieved smile.
