27 people- 26 deaths, one disappears.

 It was a normal day for them, when suddenly, an army of men clad in swarmed into the house. They invaded the house from all sides, like ants infesting a sweet. The family had barely enough time to react. Despite being all well-versed in martial arts, they all fell victim to the enemy.

All except the baby.

The entire house was lit ablaze by the fire set by the enemy, and yet, the child slept peacefully. Everything but the baby’s cot was charred. The fallen roof dangled across the cot, missing the baby precariously, just by an inch.

Right when the men thought their job was done, the baby’s cries pierced through the silent air. Two of them went into the direction of the baby’s room.

Looking at the child seemed to cause their determination to flicker. They drew their swords, but eventually stopped. They carried the baby away.
