“RUNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN!!!”

“OH MY GOD!” Sunny screamed in shock and fear.

Taeyeon quickly clasped his hand on Sunny’s wrist, dragging her along out of the danger. The latter was screaming like crazy, and her heart was throbbing hard of course; part of her was fearing the certain death of this scaring monster, yet at the same time, her heart doubled the pace when Taeyeon’s hand slid by her wrist, already holding her hand. If they weren’t in danger… she would do anything to make this moment last…

But back to the Sea Serpent…

Then, the dandyu couple rushed back to their friends and tried to recover their breath as both of them placed their hands on their knees. Gathering half gang’s attention, the gang started to look at the dandyu with their eyebrows roused as Yuri was the first one to ask:

“Sunny? Tae? What happened?”

“Yes, is something wrong?” HyoYeon added with worried eyes as she walked to Tae and Sunny. The latter shook her head violently as she looked around frenetically, looking signs of the monster. When Taeyeon realized that half of his friends were on the water (in that case Tiffany, Jesse, SeoHyun and Siwon); he ran frenetically to them as he waved in despair, yelling:

“GET OUT OF THE WATER NOW! IT’S DANGEROUS!!!”

“What? I didn’t hear you, Tae!” Tiffany said nonchalantly as everyone stared at Tae in concern. The latter shook his head and run to their location, scolding into a clear tone:

“GET OUT NOW! THIS PLACE ISN’T SAFE!”

“But what are you talking ab--?!”

“!!!”

“W-H-A-T T-H-E?! --”

“WHAT THE’LL IS THAT?!”

Jesse, Tiffany and Siwon asked in shock as their eyes were widened at the sight of a giant serpent. Just when they were about to activate their bracelets, the monster managed to spit some kind of blue spittle at them, paralyzing them at the same moment. Only with their heads out of the nasty substance, they tried to set themselves free, but no use, the spittle was more potent than super glue. Seeing that their friends were in danger, Taeyeon quickly activated his bracelet, summoning his bow. When he was about to aim, he heard a desperate scream of Sunny:

“NO, TAE! THE MONSTER... IT’S TURNING AROUND!”

“Wha--!!! Ah cr@p!!”

Taeyeon cursed when he was also hit by the blue spittle and letting his bow fall onto the ground. Sunny gasped in shock to see the giant serpent approaching her and paralyzing her friends, it was when another voice startled them:

“Get away from my unnie and my friends, you ugly snake!”

SeoHyun was making her a white barrier to protect herself against the serpent’s attacks, but the latter was really strong. Placing her staff on the ground, she felt herself kneeling on the plain water as her body was giving in since she wasn’t fully recovered. With another attack, the snake managed to break her magical shield easily. When the monster was about to attack the almost fainting SeoHyun, Yoong widened his eyes in fear and despair, but the feeling to protect SeoHyun was infinitely stronger. He gritted his teeth as his bracelet started to blink repeatedly into a yellow light. Already rushing against the serpent like a crazy bull, he shouted in rage:

“OVER MY DEAD BODY! YOU ARE NOT GOING TO TOUCH HER!!!”

“Oppa…” The awestruck Seohyun watched Yoong standing before her just like a knight in a shiny armor. Out of sudden, when he was about to shield Seohyun from the serpent attack, a sword appeared and fell on his right hand. He and SeoHyun watched the object in shock.

The sword was beautiful indeed and looked very sharp. Once the maknae looked forward, she widened her eyes and shrieked:

“Yoong-oppa, look out!”

“YAAAAAA!!!”

At the last second, Yoong managed to slice the serpent long’s tongue, gaining a loud snarl in pain of the latter as a black blood flowed by its mouth. He opened his eyes one by one and suddenly, he mocked victoriously:

“Ha, take that, you nasty worm!”

Instantaneously, the snake turned the attention to Yoong and the latter gulped deeply. The serpent growled in much more anger and started to strike on him nonstop. Everyone was watching the scene in shock; Yoong managed to run and threw himself on a heap of rocks. Having a bad time to avert the serpent’s charges while he climbed the rocks; then he yelled at his friends, precisely at Yuri in hurry:

“Eh noona… you guys’ help would be VERY welcome now! Ahhh!!”

“YOONG!”

Yuri screamed in fear to see her brother in danger. Starting to hyperventilate, she looked around and started to speak into a frenetic tone:

“Oh my God! Oh my God! Oh my God! What am I supposed to do?! I need to help them!”

Just like Yoong, her bracelet started to blink continually in a purple light. Out of sudden, the light ceased and a rod was right at her left hand. She eyed the mystical object in awe, but cursed at the same time:

“Ahhh what am I going to do with this? I am not a mage; this thing must have a magical word! But what could it be?!”

“Noona! Hurryyyyyy!!”

Yoong shouted as he still was averting the serpent strikes.

[YURI P.O.V]

“I am trying ok!” I yelled back in despair as I started to shake the rod and speak random summons:

“Huh? Abracadabra? Hocus Pocus? Alakazam? In the name of the Moon, I will punish you!”

“Eh?!” Everyone stared at me in confusion with a shocked expression due to my words. I puffed angrily and yelled:

“What? I am doing the best I can, ok!?”

“Noonaaaaaaaaaa!”

I gritted my teeth nervously since my brother’s life was in a great danger. Not caring anymore, I had to get that serpent’s attention, but how?

“Damn! If I could, I would set fire on this damn snake!”

“YURI! YOUR ROD IT’S BURNING!” Sooyoung yelled at me as he pointed to my rod with a shocked expression. Once I looked to my rod, I was agape and my eyes widened:

“Wha---!! OMG! My rod it’s burning! But… wait a minute!”

After I took a good look, I realized that my rod wasn’t burning indeed, but a flame was burning a top of my rod.

“Yuri, quickly! How did you done that?!” Sunny yelled as I shook my head in confusion:

“I don’t know! All I know I spoke those words and …” My words died on my lips when I realized something. This could be madness, but I had to try. I rushed to the lake and prayed on my mind: “Please… I hope I am right”. When I was in a good spot, I gritted my teeth and pointed my rod to the serpent, so I finally yelled in determination:

“FIRE BALL!”

As I commanded, the rod complied at my wish as a flame simply burst out of this small rod. The fireball hit the serpent’s head flatly as the latter became dizzy. I jumped on the air and yelled in relief:

“All right!”

“Nice one, noona!” Yoong waved at me while smiling and I bowed my head with a smile. But our happiness only lasted for a while as the snake placed the burning head on the lake, making the fire vanished. Everyone gasped when the snake growled even angrier than before:

*RGGGGGRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!”

“HOW MANY LIVES DOES THIS THING HAVE?!” I screamed in shock when the snake glared at me. Out of sudden, the serpent started to use the long and strong tail to hit me. I dodged from the attacks as fast as I could, but out of sudden, all I saw was a long tail throwing me against the water:

“YURI!” “NOONA!” I heard everyone yelling at me as I tried to open my eyes slowly. The hit didn’t injure me, but I was very dizzy and I couldn’t stand up. However, when I realized I just saw two yellow eyes glaring at me and a mouth with countless fangs ready to swallow me. I squeezed my eyes shut, waiting for my fate:

“Am I finished…?”

While Yuri was sprawled on the water’s surface, the serpent was ready to attack when…

“NO YOU DON’T! YAAAAAAAAAA!!!”

Everyone gasped in surprise when a sudden force roughly ceased the serpent’s advance. Looking for the strength’s source, the gang’s mouth dropped to see SooYoung holding the serpent’s tail with an incredible force. His bracelet was blazing red while his weapon was a red glove covered with metal. The serpent changed the attention for the one who's holding the tail, even trying to shake him off, Sooyoung just held tight while yelling in rage:

“IF YOU WANT ONE PIECE OF ME, COME AND GET IT! YAAAAAAA!!!”

He hastily jumped to the air and used his hands to smash the serpent’s tail. The latter snarled loudly in pain:

“GRHHHHHRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!”

Still the giant serpent didn’t cease the attacks, the pain and anger only fueled the power. Suddenly the serpent’s eyes started to glow into a yellow blinding light. That moment, Sooyoung tried to throw a huge rock of the lake against the snake’s head, but the latter burned the rocked instantaneously. With everyone in shock, the serpent started to attack SooYoung, Yuri and Yoong nonstop. They managed to avert and defended themselves against the attacks, but their bodies were being consumed by the fatigue.

The ones who were stuck on the sticky spittle were watching with heavy hearts. They were an easy target and they couldn’t even help their friends, just watched the terrible scene and prayed for their safety. Even watching in shock, Sunny realized that the serpent was approaching from her paralyzed friends. Feeling her heart race when the serpent wanted to attack the first one in insight; Sunny’s heart stopped when she saw that the person… it was TaeYeon. Although dwelling in fear, she refused to stand still while her friends were risking their lives to them. But, to lose her dear Tae-Tae it wasn’t something that she would accept. Taeyeon gulped loudly and widened his eyes while the giant serpent glared at him while opening the huge mouth to devour him.

That time, Sunny gritted her teeth and turning her hands in tight fists. Not thinking anymore, she ran at the serpent’s encounter, yelling in rage:

“DON’T YOU DARE TOUCH ON MY TAE!”

At this moment, Taeyeon who was in shock with the serpent, he blinked a few times in confusion while asking to himself:

“Am I hearing right? … My Tae?”

Even in confusion, part of him was a little too excited and in awe due to this distorted confession. Back to Sunny, the latter looked around to find a possible weapon to defend themselves, but none. It was when out of sudden, her bracelet blinked into a lilac color, blinding her for a second. As soon she opened her eyes, she hoped to see an ultimate weapon, but for deception a simple dagger was placed in her palms. Gasping in shock, she disdained the object and cursed:

“What the hell?! What am I suppose to do with this? Use it as a toothpick for this monster?!”

“Damn it!!”

“Be careful, Sunny!” Taeyeon shouted in horror as he watched in apprehension and concern when Sunny marched against the enemy just using a small blade. Out of sudden, instead of a small dagger, Sunny’s weapon transformed into a giant spear as she hits the serpent’s head. Everyone (including Sunny) was surprised with the exaggerated size of the weapon; she simply blinked in surprise, trying to understand what just happened. And since she was stunned of her doings, the serpent used this chance to give a counter attack. Before it got too late, Sunny felt everything a blur when she was quickly pushed by someone:

“SUNNY! LOOK OUT!”

“H-Hyo?!”

Everyone gasped to see the savior’s doing. Seconds earlier, Hyoyeon was seeing the awful scene, afraid that one of her friends could be eaten alive of this apparently indestructible serpent. Thinking fast, her brain and bracelet joined the obvious solution. With her mystical bracelet shining into a vivid crimson color, this same light surrounded her feet and hands. Once the crimson light vanished, a pair of Sais was in her hands while her feet were into some kind of magical boots. Even in awe with her recent gift, she didn’t thought twice to save Sunny who was almost feeling the serpent’s breath. At the last second, thanks the boots, she managed to receive an incredible speed, barely seen by a eye.
