“I am… the Oracle…”

“What?!” The entire gang asked in unison as they were dumbfounded. Suddenly, a commotion started among them as they asked themselves who was this person and what was she doing here… However, each one of them started to make countless questions at the same time to the poor Oracle. The latter simply giggled and uttered nonchalantly:

“All of you did an excellent job today. I am glad that the bracelets worked just in time.”

“WHAT?! SO YOU WERE THE ONE WHO GAVE THESE?!”

Tiffany blurted with her eyes widened while pointing to the Oracle and the bracelet, still in shock. The latter simply nodded and became serious when she spoke again, letting her feminine voice became more obvious:

“I must say that since I am the Oracle, I am able to answer any question of yours, but each one of you can ONLY make ONE question for me, so, ask wisely.”

After the whole discussion thing, everyone decided to make one question at a time. Slowly, the first one volunteered herself, in that case… Sunny stepped closer and eyed the mysterious person carefully as she finally asked:

“Who are you… really?”

“As I said before I am the Oracle, the 50th of my generation. My duty is to keep the peace of this land where we are now. That means I come in peace to help, and not to harm any of you.”

Sunny nodded slowly feeling convicted of the Oracle’s answer as she stepped back and let the next one make the question. Feeling calmer, HyoYeon was the second one to ask as she uttered with a brown raised:

“If you are here to help us… then why didn’t you help us to kill that thing?”

The entire gang nodded in agreement since they were curious as well. Then, the Oracle pondered her thoughts and answered wisely:

“That was the reason that I gave those magical bracelets for each one of you… for training and endurance. If I had destroyed the Chimera since the beginning, neither one of you would try to defend yourselves. I won’t be here every time to give you assistance, that’s why I must make sure that all of you are going to be able to confront the enemies… when the time comes.”

Sounds of rustlings echoed in the gang, when the word enemy and confront came to their ears, the uneasiness spread in their minds. It was when SeoHyun who was the quiet one in the middle of the commotion thing, asked in a refrained, yet fearful tone:

“Enemy? That means that… more monsters will come?”

The Oracle sighed deeply as she started to walk slowly with her hands behind her back:

“I am afraid so… definitely more enemies which are much stronger and more powerful than a Chimera will be chasing each one of you… Zen won’t rest until he gets what he wants…”

“Zen?! Who is that b@st@rd?”

Yoong blurted angrily as he motioned in the air with his hands. Yuri and SeoHyun held his shoulder in an attempt to calm him down. Slowly, he breathed heavily as he continued hesitantly:

“We did nothing wrong and this sicko already wants our heads?!”

The Oracle supported her chin with her right hand and spoke earnestly while watching the horizon:

“Zen as like me… he was an Oracle once and also, the Guardian of the Ruby Stone. However, after many years, he became tired of protecting this land, letting the greed and thirst of power consume his heart, and blinding him to achieve his evil goal. He tried to obtain my Sapphire Stone to fulfill his insane dream. When he tried to steal my Sapphire, I managed to send to somewhere far away, out of his range. But… once when all of you arrived on this world; Zen discovered that the Sapphire Stone has come back as well. That’s why he is sending his monsters to it get back.”

“So why don’t you try to kill him by yourself? You look very strong to me…”

SooYoung remarked as he observed the Oracle cautiously. The latter smiled weakly and answered:

“I would stop him if I had enough power, but I used a great amount of my power making those magical bracelets. These objects can guarantee your safety and improve your power and strength.”

Suddenly, Yuri, who was watching everything, decided to ask the question that everyone wanted to know:

“I’m sorry to say this, but we aren’t super heroes, magical warriors or anything like that. We are just normal teenagers that go to a school and believe me; it’s already hard to deal with. We didn’t even know what we are doing here… could you tell us at least the reason? You know, it isn’t everyday that you fall asleep and wake up on… a fairy world or something similar.”

Everyone nodded in agreement as the Oracle breathed deeply while looking down. The latter raised her head slowly and spoke in a kind tone:

“I am really sorry for bringing all of you here to solve our problems and stop Zen, but… you are the only ones that I can count on. And about the reason, well it's something that if I tell you the truth now, you also won’t understand. All of you will need time to realize the reason by yourselves, and when this happens, the wish from your deepest heart… will come true.”

In a moment of silence, the entire gang pondered their thoughts as they were trying to understand the enigma behind the Oracle’s words. Yet, remembering an important fact, Tiffany realized something as she blurted loudly:

“But this guy Zen, well he is an idiot coz’ what the hell is this Sapphire Stone? We don’t even have this t-thing!”

She burrowed her fingers in her ginger hair and breathed heavily in frustration, still glaring at the Oracle. After a brief silence, the Oracle simply answered as everyone waited anxiously:

“You don’t… but he has…”

The Oracle spoke seriously as she pointed to Jesse. Afterwards, every single eye landed on him in shock as he quickly widened his eyes and raised his hands to defend himself:

“Wh-what are you talking about?! I don’t have any-- …”

His words died on his lips when he reminded of the blue stone which was wrapped around his neck. Worriedly, he hooked the stone beneath his shirt and eyed the object in shock. Before he could answer, TaeYeon asked curiously with a frown in his forehead:

“Jeshe… where did you get this thing?”

Jesse nibbled his lips nervously as he thought: “I got this from that book, but …? Nonono this is impossible! There is no way that this book could have done this!”Seeing everyone staring at him in surprise and confused, Jesse placed the stone in his left hand and extended it to the Oracle. Out of sudden, Siwon blurted in annoyance while watching the scene:

“If that Ze—whatever he is… if he wants this stone so much, then why don't we give it to him already and get out of here?!”

The Oracle shook her head and spoke in disdain:

“And give him the chance to kill everyone in this world including ALL of you?!”

Everyone flinched and gasped in fear at the Oracle’s answer, so the latter breathed deeply and explained into a worried tone:

“Once you do this… you can say goodbye for your only chance to go back to your home.”

The feeling of despair and fear started to make everyone nervous; certainly no one desired to be stuck on this world. Pondering his thoughts, Jesse was ready to make his question, although he feared to be right in the first place. Sighing deeply, he looked at the Oracle and asked slowly and worriedly:

“How can we go back to our world?”

Nodding her head, the Oracle looked back to the horizon and pointed to a specific mountain. The place was surrounded with black clouds, creating a hazy landscape. Looking back to the gang, the Oracle uttered seriously:

“Beyond that mountain, it lays the Zen’s Castle. The only way back to your home… is defeating him and getting the Ruby stone. Once it is together with the Sapphire Stone, they will form the Twin Stone… which is a magical artifact that can guarantee a wish… so that’s why each one of you must protect this stone with your life and don’t let Zen or his subordinates steal it.”

After the information finally sank in, everyone started to feel worried about their delicate conditions. What if they weren’t able to defeat the next enemy or if they were scared and paralyzed to go further… Thousands of questions started to confuse their minds as the fear was obvious in their faces. Like if the Oracle could read their minds, she spoke in a calm voice, startling them a bit:

“Don’t worry. This won’t be the last time you will see me. I will be around to help you. Yet, remember that this time it's for real, don’t be anxious and restless in your attacks. In this quest, each one of you will be able to discover and improve your skills. You must have faith on yourselves as I believe in you.”

It was weird that those simple words could bring peace to their worried hearts. The Oracle was about to leave as she uttered while looking to the gang:

“If I were you, I would start this quest from the Stony Ravine. That trail would lead you right to the SoShi Village; there you will find resources and shelter for this long trip. Always remember to use the Sapphire Stone as your compass. Well, that’s all for now. I wish you good luck, farewell…”

Out of sudden, the Oracle moved her head to Jesse and spoke seriously:

“I would like to talk to you for a moment… Jesse.”

The latter raised his brows in surprise since the Oracle knew his name. When he was about to go further, he looked to his friends and realized that they were staring at him worriedly. Although he was nervous, he forced a smile as he said in an assuring voice:

“Don’t worry… I will come back soon…”

With that, he took a deep breath as he followed the White Oracle to a reserved spot…

[JESSE P.O.V]

What she well, I think it’s a she, but why the Oracle wants to speak with me? Arghh, honestly, now I am more worried about our condition. Everything because of this stone *sigh* I am very rational and this fable things are only for books, but why this is happening to me? That means that I am guilty to take that book and drop everyone in this unknown place? I don’t even know what to do, adventure thing isn’t my stuff… but it is my responsibility, I must make sure that everyone is safe so we can go back to our world. Then, I can warn Mrs. Lee of that dangerous book… well, IF I can go back home… Oh God, help me…

“Thinking too much, Jesse?”

The Oracle’s smooth voice startled me a bit since I was deep in my thoughts. Seeing that she was waiting for an answer, since she was silent; I barely shook my head and answered honestly:

“A little…”

“I see…” She said while looking to the horizon before us. However, when I was about to think again, she spoke into a gentle tone, a warm tone that my mom used to talk to me:

“You shouldn’t blame yourself, Jesse. It’s not your fault to be in a place like this and to hold this stone.”

Creasing my browns in confusion, I sighed as I held the Sapphire close to my chest:

“How come? I was the one who was curious about that weird book and touched this stone! Now, look where we are! What if one of them get hurt because of--- wait a minute, how do you know that I get this stone in the first place and why didn’t you tell them the truth?!”

“I am the Oracle, so I know some things, besides it isn’t hard to see that you are having a bad time since I spoke about the Sapphire Stone…You shouldn’t see this as an accident, but as an opportunity. Lastly, since you were the one with the stone, I think you should be the one to tell them the reason when the time comes.”

I couldn’t understand her words as she looked so calm and me, well so… desperate:

“But how? Why me? I am not a leader, I can’t do this! How can this be an opportunity if I am stuck in an unknown place with monsters wanting our heads; person’s lives in my responsibility and the worse… I still had to bear that totally show off over the girl I l---“

After realizing what I was about to speak on my outburst, I quickly clamped my mouth as I groaned loudly and tensed my jaw. Those stupid feelings are trying to get out, love is for the weak and it only causes pain, I don’t believe on that foolishness and I don’t even have time for that… Yet, while I was rumbling to myself, I felt a gentle hand on my shoulder. Once I looked up, I caught a glimpse of Oracle’s smile, not knowing where to put my flushed face, I lowered my head in embarrassment as she started wisely:

“Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, but soon you will understand the meaning of this opportunity… Jesse, the stone chose you that mean I am more than sure that you are capable to go further. Remember, sometimes something needs to happen to make us have an initiative. Don’t worry; I know you are going to be all right. Have more faith on yourself.”

I lowered my head to ponder my thought, maybe the Oracle could be right, but this is too much for me. It's funny how her voice calms me, that voice is oddly familiar. So when I was about to ask her, I raised my head:

“Oracle, have you ev-? Oracle?”

I started to look around, but none, she simply disappeared. Seeing that I was back to the beginning, I sighed deeply, remembering her words as I walk back to the gang:

“I hope you know what you are doing…”

[YOONG P.O.V]

After Jesse hyung came back, he told us that we should believe in the Oracle’s words. Honestly, this was uncertain and very dangerous, but it could be worse to stay here and didn't go back to our homes. This isn’t going to be easy, but we don’t have any choice, we must try. However, there were 10 of us walking in a long and rocky trail. Suddenly, I looked around and the jungle where all of us arrived started to get distant in each second.
