Steps echoed all over the long aisle, yet the gunner and the warrior finally reached the room which would lead them to the throne room. They looked around in confusion since they knew that their friends should be there. However, they had their guard up when they heard loud steps coming from the north and south corridor. Jesse promptly aimed his guns while Tiffany raised her sword and shield. Nonetheless, they were surprised when they heard a loud call:

 

“Unnie!”

 

“Hyunnie!”

 

Tiffany lowered her sword immediately when her sister came running through the corridor. She rushed to her encounter and hugged her tightly, whispering in relief:

“Thank God you are okay.”

“I’m so glad that you alright, unnie.”

 

Seohyun added truthfully, tearing after seeing that her big sis was fine. Once they pulled apart, Tiffany patted the maknae’s head affectionately while smiling. Soon, the rest of the gang came behind while smiling in relief to see their comrades in good state. After they joined back as a big group again, they were about to speak of their previous battles when a flash of light appeared before them. Afterwards, they blinked a few times to see that it was no other than the Oracle. The latter looked at them in relief and spoke in determination:

“Very well, my noble warriors. I knew that you would make it, but I must ask… is everyone fine? And you, noble fighter?”

Everyone looked at Sooyoung, but the latter scratched his cheek sheepishly, and explained:

“I had some scratches, but thanks to our honorable mage, I am all good again.”

To prove his point, he hit his chest and gave thumbs up to the maknae. The Oracle Hyori stared at them in seriousness and spoke into a heavy tone:

“Now, since the all crystals were destroyed, we can go forward, but… I must first confess something …” Taking a deep breath, she explained earnestly:

 

“This is going to be our last battle and certainly, Zen would not give in until he finishes with each one of us. Before anything, we must destroy the red gem which is the source of his power. Only with that, we will be able to reach our victory. Are you ready?”

“YEAHHHHHH!”

The gang answered in unison as they raised their weapons, ready to face their adversary. Hyori nodded and summoned her staff. All of them then marched to the great wooden door. They broke in and reached the throne room, at last. The place was even darker and wicked than they had ever imagined. But it was empty. The gang looked forward in confusion; nonetheless, they turned their heads around when they heard sounds of claps. And there he was.  Zen stood before the big door, blocking their exit as he clapped his hands with a wicked smirk:

“Bravo! I wouldn’t have ever imagined that you would make it this far.”

“Surrender now, Zen! Your army was defeated and the crystals were destroyed!”

 Hyori shouted in determination while the gang stared at him fiercely. Out of sudden, Zen laughed deviously while shaking his head and walking to his dark throne:

“Your naivety never fails to amuse me. Actually, I must thank you for doings since if it wasn’t for you, my plan wouldn’t be fulfilled! Those soldiers were merely pawns for my game haha! ”

“What the hell are you talking about?!” Jesse snapped back, losing his patience with this sicko. Zen, in other hand, remained calm as he sat on his throne, explaining scornfully:

“Did you really think that I didn’t know about your plans on crashing into my castle? As I said, your naivety amuses me. Well, since all of you will die here anyway, I’ll reveal my plan.”

The gang looked at themselves in confusion as Zen spoke into his usual devilish tone:

“Hyori, amongst all of you, I didn’t know you were the most naïve. Do you know why I gave you five days? Because I knew that you would try to defeat me and the only way was to destroy those crystals, right? Wrong!”

“You and your ridiculous chosen ones fulfilled the last part of my ritual!”

“What ritual?!”

Yuri asked angrily while Zen’s smirk widened:

“The ritual to unleash the mighty Dark Gargoyle!”

 

“WHAT?! You can’t do this, Zen! That monster almost destroyed our world! How can you do this?!” Hyori yelled in despair, bitter with his evil plan. Zen only laughed at her words as he remarked harshly:

“I couldn’t do this before because those crystals were protected by an ancient magic, and now, thanks to you, everything is going according to what I’ve planned. The last seal was broken and I know that I can now unleash the Dark Gargoyle! However, enough of talk, I am losing too much time, now, give me this sapphire stone!”

Jesse looked at stone hanging around his neck and back at Zen. He shook his head and raised his gun at him, speaking into a deep cold tone:

“I’m sorry, but if you want it, you’ll have to take it by yourself.”

At his words, all the gang surrounded him with their weapons, ready to attack. Then, Zen smirked like a maniac and nodded his head while raising his arms:

“Hmm, as you wish!”

Turning into a dark mist, Zen charged towards the chosen ones. They barely could stay on foot due his powerful attack. The evil villain dodged their attacks easily. Blow after blow, the gang was getting even more tired due their previous battles. He turned to them and after seeing them pant heavily, he faked a sad frown, speaking with disdain:

“Oh, tired already? Haha I thought that the ones were better than this. So boring…”

Angered by his disdain, Sooyoung and Yoong charged against him, ready to punch and slash him off. But with his counter attack, he pushed them violently against the wall. Gasping in shock, Yuri and SeoHyun yelled:

“Oppa! Yoong! Soo!”

The mage duo frowned angrily at the cocky Zen as they pointed their staffs at him. Combining their energy, they yelled:

“METEOR RAIN! LIGHTWAVE!”

At the last second, Zen raised his hand and made their attacks backfire. They yelled in pain as they fell onto the floor. Furious, Jesse, Tiffany and Taeyeon charged towards him after Hyoyeon, Sunny and Eunhyuk received several blows of Zen. Jesse and Taeyeon shot their bullets and arrows, but there was no effect. Tiffany and Hyori tried to use this chance to hit him from the back, but he created a dark energy ball that knocked them out in one move. Taeyeon kept shooting and yelling, but he was knocked out due the same dark energy ball.

“Tiffany!” Jesse yelled in shock at his beloved, who lay on the floor with a bleeding mouth. He gritted his teeth in blinding anger as he pointed his gun to Zen, who scoffed:

 

“Are you sure that you want to do this? If you had handed me the stone before, I would have just given you all a quick death.”

“SHUT UP! ARGHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!”

Enraged, Jesse pulled the trigger madly, but his bullets didn’t reach even Zen due a dark shield around his body. Bored, Zen used the same energy ball against the gunner and he was violently pushed against a pillar, breaking it at the same time. Zen walked to him and spoke scornfully:

“Give up, you know you can’t defeat me. This is useless.”

“I SAID SHUT UP!” Standing up with some difficulty, Jesse coughed blood as he pointed his gun at Zen and started to shoot on nonstop again. The villain rolled his eyes in annoyance and decided to finish this. He raised his hand and a long blade came in sight. In just one swift move, he s his blade into Jesse’s left shoulder and twisted.

 

“Arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!”

 

“JESSIEEEEEEEEEEE!!!”

The gunner yelled in an unbearable pain as Zen laughed wickedly. Meanwhile Tiffany choked in tears as she kept screaming his name and begging:

“P-please, d-don’t hurt him! STOP IT!”

“Too late now, I am having fun hahahaha!”

 

Zen snapped back as he pulled his blade abruptly from Jessi’s shoulder, removing the sapphire stone from his neck. Blood flowed like a river as he dropped onto the floor. Zen walked slowly to the room’s center, holding the ruby and sapphire stone in each hand. He laughed devilishly as he heard the gang grunting in pain. So, he turned to Jesse and spoke cockily:

“Tsk tsk tsk thanks your stubbornness, now… you will have to see your friends die. Don’t worry; I’ll kill you after them. Do you have any death wish?  HAHAHAHA!!!”

Soon, Zen raised his right hand to create a huge dark energy ball to kill the entire gang. When he was about to throw it, a cracking voice broke his concentration:

“D-don’t h-hurt them…”

 

“Impressive… you still have energy to stand up?”

Zen frowned when he saw Jesse panting before him. The villain rolled his eyes and snapped:

 

“I don’t have time to play anymore, shut up!”

 

With one move, he kicked Jesse right in the face. The gunner fell onto the floor and once again, with so much difficulty, he stands up, surprising Zen:

“I said… d-don’t hurt them!”

“It’s too late to be a hero, don’t you think?”

 

When he was about to attack him, Jesse held onto his bleeding shoulder, tearing up as he saw his wounded friends in pain. He tiredly raised his head, fighting with himself to keep standing. It was when he spoke in seriousness and voice cracking:

 

“Yo-u c-can do a-anything you want t-to me… but p-please, d-don’t hurt them a-anymore. I-it was m-my fault t-that we g-got trapped here… t-they are m-my responsibility and my friends… so I b-beg you… le-t t-them go…”

“You say as though you are ready to sacrifice yourself… for your friends?” Zen slowly asked while frowning. So Jesse looked at each and every one of his friends and his love, and back to Zen. He took a deep breath and nodded, answering sincerely:

“I would do anything for them…”

 

“Then… so be it!”

 

“Nooooooooooo!!!”

 

Tiffany yelled in despair withthe gang when Zen directed his huge energy ball to Jesse. However, when the huge ball was about to hit him, a sudden and intense blue light surrounded his wrist. The light blinded Zen and once it ceased, Jesse was shocked to see an ultimate pair of guns in his hands.

Zen looked at Jesse’s new guns and gasped in fear, for the first time:

 

“How could he get those weapons?! They are legendary! There is no way that a weak human get this---”

“Now… it’s my turn!”

 

“Wait, NO!!!”

 

Jesse concentrated all his energy onto his guns and soon, a blue light surrounded his arms to his weapons. Once established, he smirked and aimed at Zen’s chest, where his red gem was:

 

“FROZEN SHOT!”

All of sudden, a spiral made by ice was shot by Jesse and it hit perfectly at Zen’s chest, shattering his red gem into millions of pieces. After a moment in silence, the gang no longer felt the power of Zen’s dark energy in their bodies. They stood up, looking at the villain’s body and they asked the Oracle:

“Hyori… is he finished?” The Oracle sighed, nodded her head and explained:

“I believe yes… it’s sad that this was the only way, but…”

 

“What?” They asked in confusion as Hyori shook her head, sensing something was wrong:

“I don’t know, but something tells me that this isn’t the end.”

Before they could ask again, a sudden and strong twirl shook all the room. They looked at Zen’s body that remained motionless. However, out of sudden, a black mist evaporates from the broken gem as a thunderous voice made them shiver:

“AH FREE AT LAST! I have been waiting for centuries and now, this world shall be mine!”

 

“Reveal yourself!” Hyori shouted angrily as the huge smoke started to form a shape. Once her eyes caught the image, her blood frozeas her eyes widened:

 

“Oh n-no… y-you are the-the…”
