[JESSE P.O.V]

“What are you guys doing here?!”

I stared at them incredulously as Yuri stepped closer with her eyes widened, probably more shocked than mines. She blinked a few times and finally returned my question:

“What am I doing here? Well, I ask you the same thing!”

Then, trying to calm myself, I took a deep breath while holding my nose’s bridge. It was when I asked into a lower tone, still looking at her, Yoong and a strange guy:

“Listen… honestly I don’t have any idea. All I know was I was sleeping peacefully on my bed and then…when I woke up, I already was here…”

“It was the same thing that happened to us, right noona?!”

I heard Yoong blurt as he steps closer with a surprised expression; yet, Seohyun made a way to us as she asked quizzically while eyeing my friends:

“If this happened with you too, then how did you guys found out our location?”

Nonetheless, when I looked at Yuri, I saw a glimpse of her naughty smile… Oh God… this can’t be good. So when she started to speak, she winked at me and spoke to everybody:

“Actually, at first we thought we were the only ones lost in this island, but… soon we realized that we were wrong the moment when we heard Jesse’s dolphin screams…”

Pfffff HAHAHAHAHAHAHAA!!! Everyone bursts in laugher…

Great… just what I feared the most, now everyone was laughing at me, only Seohyun was smiling apologetically at me. I was getting pissed as I glared to all of them and yelled in my defense as they shut their mouths:

“YA! I DO NOT SCREAM LIKE A DOLPHIN AND EVEN MORE AS A GIRL, KWON YURI!”

She was wiping the tears of her eye’s corner as she comfortingly placed her hand on my right shoulder and explained, still smiling:

“Oh Jess… I was kidding, but really… your scream was so loud that it almost deafened us.”

I couldn’t help but to roll my eyes and mutter coldly with my teeth gritted: “Serves you right.”

However, when we were about to start another discussion, a sound coming from behind the bushes caught our attention…

[YOONG P.O.V]

At the moment I heard sounds behind the bushes, my blood froze. Yet, it was too late to run; all of us wait anxiously for the sound’s source behind the thick shrubs. However, the moment I saw everyone gulping in fear and sweating in anticipation (including me); my eyes automatically landed on the adorable and shy girl beside me. I must admit that I was ashamed and surprised at the same time. I could see that she was afraid, yet she was taking a deep breath as if she was preparing herself.

Hmmm she is much braver than she looks… I really… admire her.

Even when I knew she didn’t need any reassurance, I felt a great urge to make her feel safe. Just like me, she didn’t want to look weak. It was when I finally took a deep breath and dared to hold her hand tightly. I could say that she was shocked with my bold move due to her widened eyes towards our hands, but I didn’t flinch, my expression was serious as I told her sincerely:

“You can hold my hand if you want to.”

Seeing that she still was shocked, I sighed as I gently started to loosen the grip. That moment I was stunned, when I was about to let go, she was the one who squeezed my hand gently and stared at me with an honest expression:

“T-thank you…”

I could feel the sincerity and nervousness in her tone, yet her simple answer only made my heartbeat increase the pace. We quickly looked in front of us as I definitely knew that I was blushing. Feeling much more fearless, I held my breath as I kept my stare to the front. Nonetheless, I frowned confusedly when the sound stopped; the entire gang and I started to look among ourselves quizzically due the sudden silence. Suddenly, Jesse and Soo hyung nodded to each other as they walked slowly to the bushes.

When they were about to step forward, someone suddenly jumped out from the green shrubs.

“KYAAAAAAAAAAA!!!”

“AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!”

All of us screamed in shock when a midget wearing a green outfit popped out from nowhere. Oh God, is he a pocket version of Robin Hood or a goblin?! Afterwards, two girls came behind him, wait a minute, they are familiar… Sunny noona?! What it is happening here?! Seeing that it wasn’t a threat, everyone started to feel calmer as I unconsciously looked to the girl at my side, at the same time, we looked at our hands clasped together and in a snap of a second, we quickly removed our hands as she looked away and I laughed nervously… Oh boy, this isn’t going to be easy…

[TAEYEON P.O.V]

“What?! You guys are here too?! Seriously?!”

I asked in surprise as I raised my hands helplessly on the air. Before I could start my interrogation, Tippany came from behind SeoHyun with her eyes widened:

“Ta-Tae!? Oh my God, you too!? This doesn’t make any sense!”

Tippany craved her fingers on her hair recklessly as she breathed heavily. I could tell that she was frustrated and worried. Yet, it was Seohyun who came to me and asked gently while looking at me, HyoYeon, and Sunny:

“Oppa… what happened? And how did you guys found us?!”

Then, remembering the fate, I scratch the back of my neck and uttered nonchalantly:

“Well, we heard screams and…”

Suddenly I stop talking when everyone looked at Jeshe, what’s wrong? I didn’t understand a thing. All I know that he raised his hands, speaking into a cold tone while defending himself:

“What? I wasn’t the one who screamed the last time.”

After everyone returned the attention to me, Tiffany asked me curiously:

“Ok… but what happened? I mean, how did you guys end up here also?”

At her question, I felt my blood freezing and my face burning at same time. Oh my God, that’s right! I remembered that I was sleeping wonderfully; I mean I never felt so comfortable in my whole life. Just while I was having a nice sleep, I was abruptly pulled back to reality by Sunny… by Sunny… I widened my eyes in realization. Nonono this can’t be, oh Gosh I can’t believe that my byun senses kicked again! That girl must be thinking that I am a freak and a ert! Ok, I must admit that I am such a little bit, but this isn’t the point here!

However, since they realized my sudden silence, I started to feel nervous as they stared at me suspiciously. Suddenly, Tippany raised her left brown and asked carefully:

“Tae… what did you do?”

After gulp deeply, I stared at them as I laughed nervously, when I was about to continue my dream, I felt a comforting squeeze on my shoulder followed by a nervous chuckle:

“ There is nothing to worry about it hehehe *chuckles nervously* only we know that the moment we opened our eyes, we were already here in this mysterious jungle.”

“Oh.” I breathe in relief as Tippany and the others nodded in understanding. Afterwards I looked up and I saw Sunny smiling cheerfully at me, her eyes disappearing in her smile. I couldn’t help to smile as well and mouth a “thank you” for her help. Man, I had to admit… she has a beautiful smile, I wonder what would've happened if she didn't wake me up.... --!!! What ‘the hell am I thinking?! Control your hormones for God’s sake!

After everyone spoke about how they got here, we finally decided to introduce ourselves formally, although I practically knew everyone. As the day ran, I realized that it was getting dark, once looked up, Jeshe looked at me and nodded, it was like we had the same idea. Suddenly, I stood up from my spot, and he did the same, as he spoke seriously:

“All right people, it’s getting dark and we need find some shelter, at least… somewhere to pass the night.”

I nodded in agreement as I added: “And since we are together now, no one will go on separate ways ok?”

When I thought that everything was fine, Tippany hurriedly stood up as she blurted into an annoyed tone:

“You guys can rest here any time you want, but I refuse to be at the same group of that... Jung! Definitely not!”

Suddenly I heard Jesse snorting sarcastically as he uncrossed his folded arms, already stomping his foot as he walked to Tiffany. He tensed his jaw and looked down to Tippany… oh no good… I can see the death glare coming out from their eyes. He gritted his teeth and muttered coldly while facing her:

“Tsk like I even wanted to paired with you… you wish… NO FREAKING WAY!”

He said in disdain as Tippany steamed in anger, man… she is mad and I am scared. So both of them crossed their arms like sulky kids and their backs facing each other as everyone else stared at them in shock. Suddenly she reached for SeoHyun’s hand and gestured with her eyes to come along:

“Let’s go, guys. We can get out of here by our own way!”

“But Tippany…” I tried to intervene, but when she glared at me, I gulped, seriously… I don’t know who is scarier… she or Jeshe… Yet, when I was about to lower my head and follow them, I mean, I am not a coward but I can’t leave these three girls alone in the woods. Just when she was about to go further, SeoHyun stopped on her tracks as she spoke seriously to Tippany:

“Unnie… we know that we don’t have a chance in this place if we don’t stay together. This can be really dangerous.”

“But, SeoHyunnie… I can’t … you know that…” Tippany pleaded with her head lowered.

I heard SeoHyun sigh as she looked to everyone and spoke wisely:

“All right, who wants to travel alone, please raise your hands?”

Only Jeshe and Tippany raised their hands with a hard expression, it was when SeoHyun continued:

“Now… who thinks that its better if we stay together?”

Everyone, including me raised the hands (except the two sulky kids over there). Tippany looked at me, Seohyun and Hyo incredulously as Jesse did the same thing to his friends. When Tippany was about to scold me, I simply shrugged my shoulders and added truthfully:

“Sorry, Fany. But our wise Seo here its right, it will be better if we stay together. Remember, you don’t want to see anyone hurt or in danger.”

Well, all I know that after some minutes she finally sighed heavily and admitted reluctantly:

“I guess… but seriously, if that Jung piss me off, you guys better not hold me back!”

“All right, all right! Gheez… this girl is so moody…”

Soon, we started to walk slowly in a hope to find some shelter. While everyone was setting with each other, me and Jeshe, well, we were behind everyone as we eyed our path carefully. It was when in a blink of an eye, I could feel eyes on me. At the same moment, I could tell that Jeshe had the same feeling since we quickly looked to a tree behind us. Seeing that apparently nothing was there, we looked to each other with our eyebrows raised as we felt that something was fishy. But since we didn’t want to worry everyone else, we kept watching everything as we found ourselves getting deeper in the woods.

In a large room, most like a throne room, a man with an evil aura stood up from his ‘throne’ and walked to a big opening in the wall. In front of the crevice, he observed the furious and raged waved crashing at the gigantic stones where his castle was grounded. Dark and thick clouds were at top of his dark fortress as tiny beams of the moonlight tried to reach his location.

While he watched such hazy landscape, his black, long hair and black cloak rises in the air due the intense wind. Yet, a shadow suddenly materialized in a human form, precisely a masked man wearing a black costume behind him. The latter kneeled and bowed his head in respect (or fear) as he placed his right hand on his shoulder, saluting his master:

“Master Zen! The foreigners arrived! They are at the Dark Forest! One of them it’s holding the Sapphire Stone! He must be a guardian!”

Suddenly a sly smile formed on the master a.k.a Zen’s lips as he looked down to his subordinate, speaking with an amused tone:

“Hmm… it is about time. How many?”

“For now… Nine, master! What we have to do now?”

Zen scorned as he shook his head in deception. So he turned his attention to the masked man and spoke coldly:

“Who is guarding that area?!”

“It’s the Chimera monster, master.” The masked man quickly answered as he gulped.

“I see… then, order the Chimera attack! I want that Sapphire Stone and soon! This is your priority! We must have that stone before the Oracle helps those foreigners!”

The man kept his head lowered in fear of his master’s voice. He rapidly nodded already standing up, asking slowly:

“And about the foreigners, master?”

Suddenly Zen smiled maliciously as he raised his head, clearly exposing his crimson eyes. The masked man widened his eyes in fear as he felt his whole body trembling. It was when Zen answered into a harsh and cold tone:

“Kill them all and get me that damn stone or it will be your head that I will take off!”

“Y-yes, master! I will invoke the Chimera’s attack!”

The masked man turned into a shadow as he rapidly disappeared out of the room. Then, Zen returned to his ‘throne’ and caressed a ruby stone craved in his black armor, precisely at his heart. Instantly, a fiendish smile crept in his lips as he muttered to no one in special:

“Let’s see if they really are the chosen ones as the Oracle premeditated… they won’t last a second here! Hahahaahahahahahaaha!”
