“Arghhhhhhhh!!! P-PLEASE, MAS-STER! I – I PROMISE THAT I WONT FAIL YOU THIS TIME--!!!”

“SHUT UP! I AM TIRED OF YOUR EXCUSES, SHIRO!”

Zen growled angrily as he tightened the grip on his subordinate’s neck. The latter was fighting for his life, but it was useless since his master didn’t intend to let him go. It was his fault anyways; he thought that the Leviathan monster would be able to destroy the chosen ones… how wrong he was. Yet, his hopes were getting higher when he followed them to the Dark Cave hoping that dangers hidden inside would kill all of them. Nonetheless, in the last second they always have the Oracle’s help.

Then, there he was, begging for his life to his furious master; when the latter scowled in deep anger, he snarled loudly:

“I gave you a simple task to kill those insignificant insects and now you tell me that you couldn’t because they were too strong?! YOU USELESS WRETCH! GIVE ME A GOOD REASON TO NOT KILL YOU AT THIS RIGHT MOMENT!”

*GASP* “I know… w-where they a…are, M-MASTER!”

“WHAT?” Zen frowned confusedly as he loosened the grip of Shiro’s neck just a little bit. When the latter was coughing loudly to recover his breath, an impatient Zen shook his subordinate’s body violently since he wanted some answers and fast:

“TELL ME, WHERE ARE THEY? AND I MIGHT SPARE YOUR MISERABLE LIFE!”

The breathless masked man recovered some air and quickly blurted the truth when he saw his master’s scarlet and scaring eyes:

“T-they were able the find Soshi Village and the Oracle helped them, master! All of them were escorted by the Soshi’s Army to their fortress…”

“Then, how did you know their location?!” Zen pressed on as Shiro rubbed his injured throat:

“I followed them, b-but we can’t go further.”Zen’s face darkened in anger as if he was ready to torture his subordinate again while he growled furiously: “WHY?!” Foreseeing his master’s actions, Shiro widened his eyes as he hurriedly explained himself:

“I know where the village is, but the place is filled with spies, soldiers and his arsenals are very powerful. It won’t be an easy task to invade their territory, master.”

“Are you doubting of my power?!” Zen flared up in fury, but Shiro was quick with his words as he rapidly raised his hands to clarify a possible misunderstanding:

“No no no, master! I've never doubted your power, but after a lot of research and planning, I realized that the Soshi Village has a weakness.”

“And what would it be?” Zen snapped in disdain as Shiro started:

“You see, the fortress was already attacked many times by a rebel faction called Red Bandits. They are the most despicable and wicked group that have ever seen, they don’t have a main objective, the only thing they want is to ravage Soshi Village and plunder the riches…”

“Your point? I am starting to lose my patience, Shiro…” Zen gritted his teeth angrily:

“The point is that they have a massive brutal force, master. If we combine our strength with theirs, we will be invincible. Then, we will complete our objectives to destroy Soshi Village and… the chosen ones. Yet, for what I know, they will only cooperate with us, if we offer them a strong weapon.”

“Hmmm… I believe I have the perfect option…” Zen smirked deviously as he paced in his dark room to his obscure throne. When he seated, he glared at Shiro who was with his head lowered and gulping loudly in fear. Out of sudden, Zen laughed wickedly as his voice filled the large room:

“Very well, Shiro… It’s a useful plan and… I will spare your life.”

“Thank you so much, mas—“ Shiro’s words were interrupted when Zen glared at him with his scintillating scarlet eyes as out of sudden, he vanished in the air into a dark smoke and appeared before the masked man aka Shiro. The latter widened his eyes in fear as he saw those devilish eyes so up close glaring him, it was when Zen spoke:

“This time, I will believe you and if the plan fails…” “Arghhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!” Shiro screamed in pain when Zen’s hands touched his cheeks and burned right away even when the fabric was over his head. Once Zen retreated, he taunted Shiro who was holding his burned cheeks, still in pain. His master returned to his throne and warned into a scaring raging voice:

“I will do much more than a small demonstration…now, get out of my sight!” “Y-yes, m-master…” Suddenly, Zen started to rub his chin with his mind already working on the evil plan, then, laughing like a maniac, he uttered insanely:

“No one will save them this time… not even you… Hyori… HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!”

Meanwhile at the SoShi Castle…

“Oh, hello again, noble warriors. Would all of you like to join me for dinner? There is some important subjects that I would like to discuss.”

Everyone in the gang nodded in agreement as they followed the regent Jyp to the large and luxurious dining room. They were agape with such glamorous and different place, but meanwhile, the gang was divided. The twins were incredible quiet due to their previous discovery, so they decided to keep in silence while they pondered their thoughts. But, naturally, Yoong’s eyes would search for the innocent maknae; yet he was surprised when realized that she was staring at him coyly. Both of them blushed right away, still a smile would crept on their lips. Out of sudden, the maknae excused herself from her unnie and stopped before the guy with the alligator laugh. She dipped her head shyly as she asked into her soft and gentle voice:

“Hmm, Yoong-oppa… w-would like to sit with me?”

Yoong’s eyes shone in happiness as he couldn’t help but to smile widely, before uttering and nod his head in excitement:

“S-Sure, I would love to.” This time, Seohyun smiled shyly, yet brightly as she hurriedly pulled him by his hand to the table, feeling much more natural and warm to do this action. Meanwhile, Yoong’s heart doubled the pace when he felt her soft hand wrapped on his, his stomach was filled with butterflies and yes, every second with her, he had become surer of his feelings. However, when he felt a strong stare on his back, he look around and smiled nervously when his twin was glaring at him since he ‘ditched’ her. When he was about to apologize, Yuri’s face flushed right away when she felt a soft touch in her shoulder. As soon she looked around, she stuttered while laughing nervously:

“Soo-Soo, H-HI!”

Yoong hid his smile when he saw that his sister was in good hands now, so he returned his attention to the lovely and amazing girl who was holding his hand. He couldn’t imagine that this same innocent girl was feeling the same fluttering and warm butterflies in her stomach with her heart increasing its pace in every single second. Although this feeling was foreign for her, she never felt something so pleasant, addicting and amazing like she felt right now. Back to Yuri, the latter was trying to find a way to start a conversation, but it was hard now since she knows what she is feeling for this tall, tanned, loud, caring and shikshin guy. The moment he looked at her tenderly, he frowned when she wasn’t speaking, so feeling worried, he quickly placed his hand on her forehead and asked gently:

“Hey Yuri-ah. Are you feeling okay? Your face it’s kinda flushed and hot. Need anything?”

It’s because of you, idiot…

Yuri cursed in her mind as she tensed deeply when their faces were so close of each other. With a loud gulp, she removed his hand from her forehead gently as she looked to her side, coughing, trying to look nonchalant:

“Nah, that’s all right, Soo. Its kinda h-hot here, that’s all hehehehe *chuckles*”

“Hmmm, okay… but I will keep my eye on you just because!” He added with a confident smirk. Her eyes widened due to his remark as she quickly blurted and gestured with her arms:

“W-WHAT? WHY? I told you that I am fine!”

“Hey, watch your tone, missy. Now, be a good girl and come with me.”

“But I am older than you—aish, okay… you are so bossy…”

Sooyoung smiled widely when a sulky Yuri gave in and walked in front of him. He didn’t have idea that she was trying desperately to hide her flushed face. Yet, her blush got worse when she felt a strong and warm arm wrapping her left arm into a tender grip. Once she looked up, she felt her heart making loud *THUMP THUMP THUMP* as if it was ready to jump out of her chest. Yet, the moment she saw those chocolate’s eyes, she wasn’t able to utter out anything, much more when he smiled so kindly and warmly at her. Unable to stay sulky, she returned the smile and pinched his cheeks cutely, making the guy hiss loudly and blurt: “YA! YURI-AH!” But they end up laughing and stealing some glances from each other, and of course, blushing a lot. And Yuri, well, she couldn’t imagine that the tanned guy was feeling the same way, the difference was… that he didn’t know what he really felt… yet.

The other ‘couples’ were trying their best to mask their feelings. Although Tiffany was joyful for her earlier encounter with Jesse; now, she will have a second chance, even if she will start from zero. Nonetheless, she was frustrated; somewhere inside her heart made her feel hurt when the not-so-nerd boy came to her sight with the princess’s arm firmly wrapped on his as if she was claiming him possessively. The scene would be cute and adorable to normal eyes, but for her, she was almost throwing up. Princess Nana showed her clearly interest in Jesse as she touched him here and there all affectionately and flirty, yet meanwhile Jesse only smiled awkwardly a little in return. Tiffany knew that he was being educated and didn’t want to hurt the princess’s feelings… but seriously, this blonde was pissing her off.

Aish, when will she stop to be so clingy?!

Tiffany huffed loudly and crossed her arms sulkily, looking at the other side since she wasn’t in mood to watch the ‘lovey-dovey couple’. However, as soon she stole a glance of them again, dropped when Nana brushed her hand ‘accidently’ on his rigid chest while chuckling ‘shyly’ like a ‘school girl’. Tiffany’s nostrils flared automatically as she felt a tug in her heart, whispering harshly to one in particular:

“There are things that are the same anywhere… Argghhh, who she think she is?! And JESSE!!! RGRHHHHHHH HE ISNT DOING ANYTHING! He must be enjoyi--!!!”

“Hmmm hey, Tiffany.” “!!!”

The latter only snapped of her ‘killer thoughts’ when she heard a familiar voice, as soon she looked up, there was ‘her supposed interest, Siwon oppa’. The latter was smiling charmingly at her, and for the first time, she wasn’t SO affected by his smile… Instead, she smiled weakly and tried to look nonchalant:

“Oh, hi oppa… is there anything wrong with my face?” Tiffany creased her browns quizzically once she noted that Siwon was staring at her attentively as if he was looking for something:

“No no, not at all, its just that you seem kinda… irked. Is there anything bugging you?”

“Oh… don’t worry. I guess you are right… maybe I am just thinking too much, oppa.”

Suddenly he smiled in understanding as he nodded his head and bowed his arm into an inviting mode. Before accepting his arm, Tiffany briefly stole a glance of Jesse and Nana; at the ‘adorable sight’ of them chatting with each other, the not so eye-smiling girl smiled forcefully to the tall and good looking guy. When the truth, it was that heart wasn’t accepting the earlier scene; with a faint sigh, she looked at Jesse rather longingly. Finally, she pushed these unknown and insistent feelings out of her mind as she tried to focus on Siwon’s jokes or remarks of himself.

At the other side of the corridor, following the ‘perfect’ pair; Jesse’s heart crushed when he heard Tiffany calling Siwon “Oppa”. He remembered that a few years ago, he was sad and confused that Tiffany never called him oppa like the other boys in their school. When he finally asked her the reason, she simply eye-smiled at him so brightly and answered:

“Because you are different from them … You are better… You are MY Jessie…”

He smiled bitterly at the memory, that time Tiffany’s answer was enough to make him smile for a long time. But he wanted that at least once, Tiffany would look at him with different eyes; eyes of inspiration, admiration and maybe, passion just like the way she looks at Siwon. Jesse knew that it was wrong and indelicate to not pay attention when someone its talking to you, but he couldn’t help it, whenever the Princess Nana was chatting with him happily, he could only stare at Tiffany longingly while the latter was with her arm wrapped around Siwon and ‘happily talking’.

Even after so long, his heart still bleeds for an unrequited love. Maybe he is a coward for never trying, but the thought of rejection was already too much, it was better to live without love than have more deceptions. A sad frown appeared as he heard Tiffany uttering ‘oppa’ other times like if was taunting him indirectly making him scoff in his mind. Then, when he became surprised when he looked up and saw his platonic love staring him; they held a strong gaze with feelings arising in their hearts. They tried to open their mouths to speak, but the respective pair frowned in disaffection as they quickly broke Jesse and Tiffany’s meaningful stare. Jesse tensed his jaw, holding his anger when he saw a tantalizing smirk in Siwon’s lips as Nana wasn’t liking the sight even a bit.

Minutes later, after everyone seated at the long dining table with the respective pairs aside, another ‘pair’ was having a bad moment. Of the destiny’s irony, the danshin couple seated across each other; while Sunny was having a hard time to diverge her attention to not look the adorable short blonde before her. Whenever she looked to forward, there was Tae looking at her practically ‘begging’ like if he was a lost puppy. After she ran away earlier, Tae was trying to talk with her, but how could she face him? She was afraid that she would end up blurting the truth of being his secret admirer and her deepest feelings. However, she felt her body melting before such adorable and cute sight, Tae was unique…

How come someone be so byun and cute at same time? Well, Tae-Tae surely does.

And that’s why she loves him so much…

Two hours later, after everyone was satisfied with a good meal, the regent Jyp gained everyone’s attention as he started:

“Well, as you all of you know. Our Village its celebrating 1000 years, and for that cause I-!”

“YOUR HIGHNESS! YOUR HIGHNESS! I *Breathing heavily* I HAVE IMPORTANT NEWS FROM THE EAST SIDE!”

Captain EunHyuk stormed inside the dining room startling everyone, as soon he recovered his breath, he quickly bowed his head in respect, yet his semblance was horrified as he blurted:

“Your majesty! One of our spies detected a sudden and commotion at the east side, where the desert lies. Some of our men were in a mission of defend our lands from the Red Bandits, but just one spy came back, severely injured...”

The entire gang, plus the Oracle and the royal family were getting deeply worried as the Captain EunHyuk’s expression showed clearly despair, so he finally dropped the ‘bomb’:

“Your highness… they aren’t alone, it looks they have an ultimate weapon in their power… a evil monster which destroys anything in its path… a monster called Golem and they are heading our direction!”

“Zen! I can’t believe he summoned the Golem for his evil schemes, he is insane!” Oracle Hyori quickly stood up in shock once she heard the truth. Not just her, but the whole gang and the royal family gasped in surprise due to the devastating news. When the commotion started to get louder, the regent suddenly stood up and spoke in authority:

“We must do something. Please, follow me to the boardroom.”

Everyone nodded in agreement as they followed the regent to the room. Once they arrived, the gang was stunned with marvelous place; the room had an enormous map to use the strategies and other artifacts for a war planning. Once everyone was settled into a rounded table with a miniature model of the Soshi Village and other lands; the regent, Oracle and the captain started to think deeply into a possible strategy to stop the Red bandits and Zen. But since Hyori knew what kind of thing the Golem was able, she feared the worst. After many rounds of discussion, the captain practically begged:

“Majesty, please consider it. I know the Soshi Anniversary is really important for all of us, but this can be really dangerous for our people!”

“We can’t, EunHyuk! This isn’t any kind of event! Soshi Aniversary it’s important to our people and give them hope in these difficult times! This creature... It can’t be invincible, there must be a weakness for it, maybe there is something we can do, I know so!”

“Jyp, I know you care about your people’s hope, but we need to care about their well-being much more. Zen is insane, and he won’t stop his moves until he gets what he wants!”

The regent momentarily silenced himself since he knew he was into a very delicate situation, much more after the Captain and the Oracle’s advices. However, under a dead silent room, a soft, yet strong voice echoed in the room:

“E-excuse me, can… can I say something?” A timid Jesse gulped raised his hand carefully as every single pair of eyes stared at him attentively. The regent creased his eyebrows in surprise as he speaks earnestly:

“Oh, of course, noble warrior Jesse. You don’t have to ask.”

Jesse smiled thankfully as he bowed in respect to the regent. So he stood up from his seat and looked at the Soshi Village’s miniature as he rubbed his chin with a thoughtful expression. Out of sudden, he spoke slowly while looking at the Oracle and the Captain:

“Although we don’t know what the Soshi’s Anniversary is, I am sure that its more than a mere event, as the regent said before, it’s something which brings happiness, hope and faith for the people. But there are we into a tight decision since a battle waits for us… so I know I can’t be very wise, but… I think we should proceed with the Soshi’s 1000th Anniversary.”

“Huh?!” Everyone frowned their browns in confusion, yet all of them were curious to know Jesse’s plan while Siwon rolled his eyes and scoffed with his arms crossed:

“Think, if Zen didn’t make a secret of his summon of this Go-Golem monster, he wanted to us know his true intentions. That means he expects our fear and despair, so if we postpone or spot the event, the people will be worried and soon, the situation will be chaotic and out of control…”

“Please, continue.” The regent urged as everyone was lured to Jesse’s explanation, feeling more comfortable, he let his mind work as the words let his lips with a major wisdom:

“In my opinion, Zen counts with the chaos in this city, so for him, it will be much easier to take the control of everything. Here is what we can do… we need be honest with these people and tell them the real situation. So with their trust, we can develop our plan with great results. We can concentrate the Soshi’s Army on this spots and avoid the close range combat since once this monster falls, the Bandits will surely be afraid and withdraw their group.”

“I see, it’s a remarkable strategy indeed, but why not use close range combat?” An amazed and curious EunHyuk asked as he studied Jesse’s idea. The latter sighed deeply and looked into his eyes as he spoke earnestly:

“Because this would spare more lives of person who doesn’t deserve such fate.”

Once again the silence return to the room, yet the Oracle walked to Jesse and asked worriedly:

“But Jesse, I believe you realized that this plan lacks a distraction and plus, we doesn’t know where is the Golem’s weakness is.”

Suddenly Jesse smiled and looked to his friends as he nodded, speaking genuinely:

“Actually, I thought of this point and we don’t need to be close enough to kill that thing, we just need a … shot.”

Everyone in the table gasped in shock as Yuri quickly stood up and barked angrily:

“Hey, stupid gunner! You aren’t thinking of being the distraction and risk your life?! I swear, if you do this, I will kill you, Jesse Jung!”

Jesse chuckles at Yuri’s furious remark while everyone eyed him worriedly, yet he simply shrugs and spoke seriously while looking to every member of the gang:


“That’s why I told you that this was a plan, yet I don’t intend to risk anyone’s live. So I will need you guys here, certainly Zen doesn’t expect our skills and weapons, that’s why we have an important key in this plan.”

Tiffany who was with her head down in fear, couldn’t believe in her ears. No, how come Jesse does everything and put HIS life in danger… AGAIN?! No, this was unthinkable and she won’t admit such a stupid act! Surprising everyone, Tiffany was unable to stay in silent as she stood up and stared Jesse in anger:

“Do you think that you are the only one who can fight?! You must be dreaming if you think that we gonna stay out of this one! We are a team! So stop acting like as if you are an expendable, BECAUSE YOU ARE NOT!”

Jesse’s mouth dropped in surprise when Tiffany’s words reached his heart. She was so mad and tired of him always sacrificing himself, it isn’t fair! How can he do this?! She can’t lose him again… meanwhile, everyone in the table stared at the flushed brunette. After the latter realized what she just said, her heart was beating loud as a drum, just like Jesse w
