DAY 03 

“No, no, it’s my treat.”

Junmyeon is in front of me, looking mighty fine at two o’clock in the afternoon. I eye him weirdly; “Am I forgetting something here?” It’s not our anniversary; it’s not any of our birthdays. Today is… well, today’s a Monday and I’m pretty sure I shouldn’t be happy on Mondays. Work in the café is the most stressful at this day of the week.

“I’m here to take you out after your shift.” He happily announces, giving me a kiss on the cheek. He pulls away before I could even push him off because god, if my manager sees that, I’m dead, goodbye payslip.

I give him his order, “My shift ends at four.”

He grins, “I’ll wait.”

“Good, I have the perfect place to bring you to eat.” I smile, imagining his face when he finds out I’m bringing him to a noisy, street restaurant that serves the best pancakes and shakes. It’s not that noisy, but a little too busy compared to fancy restaurants. Plus, it’s cheap.

“No, no, it’s my treat.” He pokes the straw in his frappe.

I frown, “It’s always your treat.”

“Because you should be saving money.”

“I will if you let me buy you food later.”

“We’ll see. Now go back to work, there’s a weird guy staring at us by the counter.”
