Jessica walked into the cabin with a basket filled up with a variety of fruits. She harvested the fruits from an orchard of bushes and trees behind the Big House when she helped Dionysus collect grapes from vines. He returned the favor by letting her harvest the rich and ripe fruits in his garden. 

“Oh hey, you’re back?” Tiffany called out from the living room while she was sewing a piece of cloth. 

“Yeah,” Jessica placed the basket on the coffee table. “How’s Taeyeon?”

“Her hair turned into a white, smooth marbled texture. It’s the third day now.” 

“I got a notice from Chansung the group’s going pretty well.” 

Tiffany snatched an apple from the fruit basket. “Well that’s good.”

Jessica rose from her seat again, glancing out the window momentarily. “Okay I have to go back to check on our cabin members. They’re out fishing.” 

“Bring back some silk,” Tiffany reminded just before Jessica reached the door. 

“Got it!” Jessica closed the door behind her, hopping off the steps and strolled off to the lake. She was casually staring at a group of campers until she bumped into someone, causing pieces of metal to drop on the ground. 

“I’m sorry!” she hurriedly picked a few swords up, her eyes looking up into a guy. “Jay,” she mumbled incoherent as she blinked at him. 

Jay let out a small chuckle, placing the shields and daggers back into the barrel. “Hey Jessica,” he flashed a heated grin that made her heart skip a beat. “How are you?”

“I’m good thanks,” she brushed off imaginary dust on her knees, standing back up straight. 

“Sorry too. I was just heading back to training.” 

“That’s okay,” her tone became indifferent. “Anyway, I have to go.”

He nodded. “Yeah I’ll see you around.”

Jay remained at his spot for longer just to stare at the Daughter of Hera walking briskly towards the direction of the lake. Typically Jay was known for hooking up with several female campers, but personally he had a soft spot for one girl. And that girl was no other than Jessica. He didn’t know why but she gave off a different feeling compared to other girls he communicated with. But his luck wasn’t as good because she would always cut their conversation short. He wished she would give him attention even for a little while. 

“Man what took you so long to bring the stuff over?” Chansung grabbed the barrel, placing it down on the ground. “Training started ten minutes ago.”

“Oh lighten up Chansung,” Jay scoffed. “Just got distracted that’s all.”

“Well you better be on task mister.”

Jay tossed his sword to the side. “Since when did you get damn bossy?”

“Taecyeon trusted me to be the camp leader, so I make sure things get done like usual.”

“Aw man, you’re stressed out that’s why you’re so pissed at me,” Jay snorted a laugh, earning a punch on the shoulder from Chansung. 

Taecyeon was out sitting at the tables near the pool. He was chatting with Yuri as they were the first ones to rise early in the morning. The sun wasn’t even up but these two demigods were already busy discussing on their next destination. 

Yuri showed the information written on the screen of her tablet. “We’re going to the river Styx right?”

“Yeah,” he nodded. 

“Then we can’t fast forward to Jeju,” she shifted the tablet in front of him. “We can’t pass through the passage unless we find black pearls as a fare to pay the ferryman.”

Taecyeon lifted the tablet up to read closely. “What?”

“Each of us has to offer a black pearl, or else we wouldn’t be able to escape from the river Styx. We will be stuck in there for who knows how long. We could be trapped in there for a hundred years just because we didn’t pay the fee or we aren’t physically dead.” 

“So how are we going to find the black pearls?”

“I researched about it back in camp, and I’m sure the black pearls we need would be located at Mokpo Village in a Python’s lair.”

“That means we gotta move again,” he sighed rubbing the back of his neck. “Are the girls still sleeping?”

Yuri did a slight nod of her head. She picked the cup of coffee and took a small sip. Nichkhun stepped out of the room, walking along the hallway and saw Taecyeon and Yuri having breakfast together near the pool. It was a lie to say he wasn’t jealous about his best friend being close with his girl crush. He guessed she woke up early just as the same time Taecyeon did. Damn it, he should’ve woken up early as well. 

“Good morning guys!” he beamed at two of his favorite people. “What’s up?” he asked taking a seat next to Taecyeon. 

“We’ll be going to Mokpo Village Khun.”

“Wait, Mokpo? I thought we’re going to Jeju?”

“Yeah but Yuri here told me a critical info about the river Styx. She said we need to find black pearls in order to enter the passage.”

Nichkhun stole a glance at Yuri before smirking, “Why do we need to find black pearls when we have one gorgeous black pearl right here?” he winked at Yuri who looked up at him. His pick-up lines were seriously getting on her nerves. 

Yuri rose from her seat and excused herself politely at Taecyeon. “I’ll just go wake the girls up Taec, I’ll see you later,” she patted him on the shoulder while going over to Nichkhun’s side and pushed him off his chair that led him to roll back i
