Tao's phone is ringing.   He groans, curling closer to Kris and attempting to ignore it, but to no avail. He sits up, running a hand through his hair as he grabs his phone from the desk and slides his finger across the screen, his voice thick with sleep,   "Hello?"   'Tao? Are you guys awake yet?'   The edges of Tao's lips curve up into a smile as he shifts his weight so that he's leaning against Kris, who is still sleeping,   "Well I'm awake now. You know Kris likes to sleep in..."   He runs his fingers through Kris's hair, brushing it off his forehead as the older boy moans softly, turning his head in the direction of Tao's touch, his eyes still closed.   'Kai already finished packing the last of our stuff so we'll probably be over there in about half an hour. Would that be okay?'   Tao can hear the excitement in Sehun's voice and grins, his eyes crinkling as he nods even though he knows Sehun can't see him,   "That should be fine, we'll all be awake by then."   Even as he speaks, Tao can hear voices downstairs and realizes that some of the other boys are already up.    'Okay, see you then!'   Tao laughs softly, tilting his head,   "See you later, Sehun."   He pulls the phone away from his ear and ends their call, letting his phone drop to the blankets next to him with a dull thud as he turns his attention back to Kris, running a finger across his cheekbones, across his eyelids, and down his nose. Kris groans softly, turning onto his back and reaching out, pulling Tao against his chest. Tao laughs softly, curling one hand into Kris's hair,   "Kris....we have to get up...you know Sehun and Kai are moving in today."   It'd been almost a week since their paperwork had been approved and every day, Sehun and Kai had been moving in some of their stuff. Today was the last day, with the bulk of their things being brought over today. Things had been good with Tao and Kris lately; they were still taking things slow, but Tao had never felt closer to Kris.   Lay had seemed to have recovered from the death of his grandma, though he still kept close to Suho and insisted that the older blonde haired boy held his hand whenever they crossed the street. Suho knew Lay better than any of them did and seeing them together always made Tao happy, but sad at the same time because he knew that while Suho was happy, he wasn't entirely.   Kris draws Tao out of his thoughts as he pulls back so that his forehead is resting against Tao's. He tilts his head ever so slightly so that Tao can feel the warmth from him, so that he's suddenly aware of how close their lips are. He feels his heartbeat quicken and smirks, twisting out of Kris's grip and getting to his feet,   "I'm serious, Kris. We can't sleep in today."   Kris sighs, his eyes fluttering open as he stares at the ceiling, his voice soft,   'Why do they have to move in with us?'   Tao shakes his head, smiling as he leans against the bed frame, looking down at Kris,   "Because they're our friends and they're over here enough, they might as well move in."   Kris frowns, his eyes dark as he sits up, running a hand through his hair and yawning,   'But why them? Why not Kyungsoo and Luhan? I might like that better.'   Tao makes a face, his eyebrows drawing together,   "Don't tell me this is about you not liking Kai. Kris, he just likes to joke around, he'd never do anything."   Kris looks up at him, lips pursed,   'If you say so. I'm just protective, you know that...'   Tao smiles softly, his eyes sparkling as he leans over and presses a kiss to Kris's cheek, whispering to him,   "And it's one of the things I adore most about you."   He pulls back, lacing their fingers and tilting his head,   "But please, be nice to Kai, okay? I really like him and I don't want you scaring him off."   Kris rolls his eyes but nods against his own will. Whether he wanted to admit it or not, he was whipped when it came to Tao. Whatever Tao asked him, whatever he wanted, Kris would do it.   Tao grins at him and lets go, walking over to their closest and pausing for a moment as he pulls his tee shirt over his head, sorting through his sweaters before picking a dark blue turtleneck. Kris turns his eyes in Tao's direction, enjoying the view, a smirk on his face as he rolls over to get a better look, his voice amused,   'You're so pretty, Tao.'   Tao snorts, turning in Kris's direction. His collarbone is starkly visible, his chest and stomach curved with muscles. His biceps are oddly visible, usually hidden under thick sweaters. The air seems to leave Kris's lungs and he blushes as he rolls over,   'Just give me five more minutes, then I'll get up.'   Tao laughs to himself and pulls his sweater over his head, trading his shorts for black jeans. He retrieves his black choker from the dresser and adjusts his earrings in the mirror, leaving his hair messy like he knows Kris likes it. He walks down the hall, deciding to wear makeup today. Somehow, it felt like today was going to be very interesting and Tao might as well look his best.   Soon after, he heads downstairs, the dark shadows under his eyes accentuated by his alabaster skin and the thin dark eyeliner making the cat-like shape of his eyes even more obvious. Tao pauses halfway down the stairs, smiling at the others. All of them look half-asleep except Suho who must have woken them up. Of course he'd be the only one to remember that Sehun and Kai were moving in today.   Lay has his head on the table, the pale pink color of his hair fading, becoming blonder every day. Baekhyun is curled up in Chanyeol's lap, the dark haired boy smiling as he tries to eat despite the Baekhyun in his lap. Chen is asleep, his head leaned back as far as it will go, his arm around Xiumin's shoulders.   The pink-haired boy looks amused as he holds up his plate of food towards Chen's face, watching his eyes flicker as he smells the food and wakes up, still looking sleepy. Suho is the only one who looks awake, his dark eyes shining as he looks up at Tao, mixed pride and affection in his eyes. He ruffles Tao's hair as he walks by, making the younger boy laugh in slight embarrassment,   'You look so pretty today, Tao. I feel like you've grown up so much lately-'   Tao grins, tilting his head at Suho,   "Suho-eomma, it's too early for reminiscing."   Suho laughs, a lock of blonde hair falling into his eyes,   'You're probably right. Don't worry, I'll bore Kai and Sehun with memories once they get here.'   Lay seems to wake up, his dark sleepy eyes finding Suho, his lips curved up in a smile,   'Do you remember the day we met, Suho-eomma? It's been almost nine years. It was in fifth grade, we got put together for a science project. You were so smart, we became best friends...'   Suho smiles softly at Lay, his eyes lit up,   'Do you remember in tenth grade when we wanted to go to that party so we stole my dad's car but neither of us could drive a stick-shift. We never got out of the driveway-'   Lay's musical laughter fills the dining room as he nods, lost for words as he laughs. His voice breathless,   'I used to think that someday you'd realize that you're too good for me, that you'd leave. But you never did...'   Suho glares at him, though there's more affection in his eyes than real anger,   'I stayed because I loved you, because you were, you are, the best friend I've ever had.'   Lay blushes slightly and hits Suho on the arm,   'I hope you're not sick of me because we're going to be together for a while.'   Suho grins, laughing softly, putting the back of his hand against Lay's cheek,   'Never. I could spend every day with you and never-'   He cuts off suddenly, his face darkening as he drops his hand, his voice softer now,   'Don't worry, Xing, we'll always be best friends.'   He smiles sadly and Tao looks down at his hands for a moment, feeling a pang at Suho's words. Perhaps if he was brave enough to tell Lay, but no, he'd told them again and again, he'd rather have him and Lay be friends. But every once in a while, the way Lay looked at Suho, Tao wondered if he knew.   Maybe he did and maybe he didn't but it clearly didn't matter because neither of them had come clean to the other. Tao takes a seat opposite Lay and Suho, elbowing Chen with a smirk,   "Falling asleep again, Jongdae?"   Chen makes a face, shoving Tao with his shoulder as the dark-haired boy laughs, his voice amused,   'As if you weren't crashed out with Kris an hour ago. I went to wake you two up but you looked so cozy, I decided to leave you be.'   Tao blushes, the deep red color blooming across his cheekbones as he looks down, his voice soft,   "You didn't-"   Chen laughs, his eyes crinkling merrily,   'Didn't hear what you said? Oh yeah I did! 'Kris, do-''   Tao shakes his head quickly, shoving Chen back, his voice a low hiss,   "Shut up. Please. Chen, please."   Chen smirks, looking amused,   'Oh that's right! Isn't that what you kept saying? Pleas-'   Chen cuts off as Kris walks down the stairs, catching Chen's eye with an easy smile as he kisses Tao on the cheek and walks past him into the kitchen to get something to drink. Tao sends Chen a meaningful look and the curly haired boy winks at him, a slow smirk spreading across his face as he turns back to his food. Kris returns and sits next to Tao, glancing up at the clock, his voice flat,   'They should be here any minute now.'   He helps himself to a slice of melon and toast, taking long drinks of matcha in between. Tao frowns slightly, taking Kris's chin in his hand and raising his head so that they're eye to eye,   "Kris, it won't be that bad. For me, okay?"   Kris seems speechless for a moment, his eyes on Tao's, flicking up to his hair and down to his choker and his earrings and back to his eyes, a look of defeat on his face,   'I'll try, I promise.'   He grins, pulling out of Tao's grip, his voice soft,   'For you.'   Chen gags excessively, coughing as he sees Kris glaring at him,   'Ah, mianhae hyung. You and Tao can just be a bit much-'   Kris snorts, an eyebrow arched as he turns his gaze back to Chen's,   'You're one to talk. Unfortunately, you and Xiumin happen to sleep in the room next to ours and sadly, we have very thin walls.'   Chen's mouth falls open and he blushes a deep shade of red, Xiumin's cheeks matching the shade of his hair as everyone else bursts out laughing. Tao bites his lip, a smile on his face as he brushes a stray hair out of Kris's eyes, thoroughly enjoying the peaceful tone their relationship had taken on the past week.   Tao's about to thank Kris for getting Chen to leave him alone when the doorbell rings and all eight heads at the table turn in the direction of the door, all of them quiet for a moment before Xiumin meets Tao's gaze and smiles as they both get to their feet, heading in the direction of the door. They both stand there for a moment and Tao feels a shock of surprise as he feels Xiumin grab his hand, his voice a near whisper,   'Tao, you ready for this?'   Xiumin raises his eyes to Tao's and Tao remembers that day almost six months ago when he'd first met Xiumin, when he'd answered the door in his pajamas and acted like Tao was family. Whether any of them wanted to admit it, Sehun and Kai moving in marked a new chapter in their life together. It would change a lot of things, but somehow, Tao knew they'd be okay some how. Tao grins and squeezes Xiumin's hand once, smiling,   "Everything's going to be fine. Twelve forever, right?"   He doesn't wait for Xiumin to reply as he releases his hand and twists the doorknob. Sehun's smile greets him as he hands Tao a box and Tao can see that there is a truck parked in their driveway full of boxes.   Kyungsoo's dark hair and Luhan's glittery hat are visible as well as Kai's easy smirk as he comes to stand beside Tao, winking at him as he walks by into the house carrying boxes. He stops for a moment and hooks a finger into Tao's choker with a grin,   'This is new. Looks good on you...'   He pats Tao on the cheek and keeps walking as Tao blushes slightly and turns to follow after him. Tao hears Sehun call Luhan and Kyungsoo and soon the twelve of them are gathered in the dining room, Suho quickly assigning a different role to each boy.   Tao gets sorted into the 'unpacking unit' with Sehun, whi
