'I hate it here.'   It had only been ten minutes since Tao had set foot on the sprawling grounds of Yonsei University and already he was finding things he didn't like. For one, it was cold. He burrows his face deeper into his wool scarf, feeling the rough fibers scratching his flushed cheeks. Maybe he was exaggerating just a bit, but as he walked down the concrete path, pulling his suitcase behind him, a duffel bag over his shoulder, he couldn't help but wish that he'd decided to go to school closer to home. Closer to Qingdao. He feels a brief pang of homesickness but stuffs it down. Home wasn't that great anyway, his neighborhood itself was fine, but his parents; his mom was always trying to fix him up with local girls, his father trying to tell him to get a job and give up music. Maybe being away from all of that wouldn't be such a bad thing.   He glances down at the palm of his hand where the black ink stood out brightly, he'd written down the address of his new home the previous night after talking on the phone with one of the current residents. He glances up, his dark eyes scanning the houses on either side of him, looking for the one marked '1257'. He sighs and starts walking, his boots hitting hard against the path, the sound echoing off the nearby dorms, giving the feeling that Tao is alone in the school. Alone in the world perhaps.   He can see the front of the house from here, painted with alternating panels of red and white, the clear glass windows fogged in the cool morning air. It looks familiar almost, welcoming. Tao veers off the path, pausing as he feels something cold press against his cheek. He glances up at the sky and isn't surprised to see snowflakes floating down, sparkling in the half light like fallen angels, collecting in the fibers of his scarf and in his dark hair. Tao feels his lips curve into a smile as he picks up his suitcase, stepping up to the pale rose colored door of the house and knocking, his hands flushed and stiff from the cool September air.   He doesn't have to wait very long, a boy holding a white ceramic coffee cup answers the door. He had round cheeks, bright sparkling eyes and platinum blonde hair that's falling into his eyes. When he smiles, his eyes sparkle even more, making Tao feel warm and relaxed. The bright eyed boy turns his head back towards the hallway of the house, leaning against the doorframe.
"Ai! Kris! He's here!!"
The boy turns back to Tao, extending a slim hand.
"You must be Tao, I'm Xiumin..."
Tao smiles, shaking the boy's hand and letting himself be ushered into the hallway, past a brightly lit living room and on to a rather large kitchen. There's a fairly good sized kitchen table, framed by a bench on one side and chairs on the other. Tao sets his suitcase on the floor and looks up as Xiumin returns to the kitchen, a group of three other boys following him. Tao glances up, looking at each of their faces and dipping his head, smiling. Xiumin grins widely,
"Tao, this is Chanyeol...."
Xiumin nods to a tall dark haired boy wearing a leather jacket. Chanyeol smiles at Tao,
"It's nice to finally meet you...Kris has told us all about you."
Tao nods, the boy's deep soothing voice putting him at ease immediately. It's starting to feel like home already. Xiumin turns to the next resident, a slim sandy haired boy with thick eyeliner, wearing a grey sweater that looks much too big for him.
"This is Baekhyun, he looks cute but beware, if you're nice he'll try to make you do everything for him-"
Xiumin is cut off as Baekhyun hits his arm, resulting in a laugh from the older boy as he rubs his arm, glaring at Baekhyun in mock annoyance. A dark haired boy laughs softly, looking on at Baekhyun and Xiumin, affection clear in his eyes. He steps forward, shaking Tao's hand and patting him on the shoulder,
"It's nice to meet you Tao, I'm Suho. I believe you already heard that you have a room mate, your room is at the top of the stairs first right..."
Xiumin tilts his head at Tao, his eyes looking slightly annoyed,
"Suho-eomma! Don't bore him, we still have to introduce him to the others!"
Suho shoots Xiumin an amused look and let's the other boy lead Tao towards the living room. Tao spots two people sitting on the couch, their attention firmly seated on the tv, both of them smiling. Xiumin picks up the remote, turning the tv off much to the protest of the two who had been watching it.
"Ah, Xiumin hyung! We were watching that..."
The owner of the voice stands up, a tall curly haired boy wearing a smirk as he walks over, extending his hand to Tao,
"You must be Tao, nice to meet you. I'm Chen. You're from China also, aren't you? Just like Kris."
Tao nods, smiling, feeling just a tad bit overwhelmed at meeting s
