Embrace Me While I'm Here
5 Promises to My LoveAuthor's POV
The same old dream happened once again bringing signs. Good auguries or bad omens, she didn't knew what was about to come.
Warm and safe. It weren't enough to describe the feeling the moment they intertwined their hands. Both souls were looking straight towards the lake, enjoying every bit of its calmness while sitting on that wooden bench at the end of the pier. No words ever needed because their hearts were already connected into one and they learned each other's.
Chorong knew it was a just dream but it felt so real to her. How much she wished that this dream would last forever, fate and destiny woke her up faster as they had prepared something a little more for her, something hideous to defy her love.
Chorong's POV
Bright beam of light slightly piercing into my eyes once i opened them. I was in a room which I think I was familiar with. This smell, those white walls and tubes in my arms, I knew I was in hospital, again.
Struggling with a sparse bewilderment, I heard voices calling my name. I lethargically turned my head to the right and saw my mother. She was shedding her tears.
"Why was she crying?"
Then I saw Naeun appeared behind her who seems to be holding her tears as well. Too many questions were floating inside my head but I slowly came to my sense.
I felt my mother's soft hand on my left cheek then she caressed it with a full attentiveness.
"Hello, my daughter. How are you feeling?" she asked warmheartedly but I still managed to catch the crack in her voice.
I gathered a bit of strength before spoke up.
"Eomma, don't cry please. I'm fine." I replied her smile while weakly lifted my arms before placing my palm on top of hers. Her hand was warm, just the way I always loved.
"I'm sorry my dear. I'm just so happy watching you wakes up and smile again." I knew she was hurting inside when looking at her daughter in this condition. So I gave a brighter smile, hoping that it could wash away her tears and fears.
"I'm happy to see you as well. Now, stop crying okay. Naeun, you too please. That puffy eyes doesn't match your pretty face" I pleaded with short laugh added at the end once I finally traced some tears on Naeun's cheeks.
"Unnie, how can you say that when I'm worried sick about you all these while?" Naeun puffed her red cheeks.
I had to show them that I was fine. I had to be strong and hide my pain well enough. I need to start smiling again for the sake of everyone.
"Hehe. I just speak the truth. By the way, I just woke up few minutes ago and you already starts being all sullen to your unnie?" I again. Both of them were laughing with my remarks.
God,please let them continue to be happy like this even when I'm gone
"I dont see Bomi and Eunji. Where are they?" I queried Naeun as I looked around and there were no trace of them, or at least Bomi to be specific.
"They are outside and will be coming in short while. Why? Already missing your girlfriend, Unnie?" I was lost at words by her sudden attack.
"No, I'm just..." I heard the door opened and we were eyeing Bomi and Eunji who marched into the room.
"Bomi..." before I uttered more words, I saw Bomi were running towards me, and she quickly reached for my hand, placing it secured in her tight clutch.
"Unnie. I'm sorry.I'm sorry. I shouldn't have left you alone that day. Thank God you're fine now." It hurt me back so damn much seing Bomi with her guiltiness though she did nothing wrong. Instead I was supposed to be thankful that I was lucky enough to became part of her life and her heart even when she deserve alot better than this parting soul.
I quickly stopped her sentence right there.
"Hey, don't say that. Things happened, so stop punishing yourself Bomi-ah. It
