Baekhyun confronted Sehun personally alone.

“It’s not Seulgi that you like, is it,” he began. It was more of a statement than a question, confirming his interests, “You like Irene, don’t you?”

Sehun swallowed.

Baekhyun started smirking, mocking him, “Alright, I’ll take it as a yes. That’s too bad since, you know..”

He stepped closer towards the latter and put his hand on his shoulder and put his head right next to his ear, “You’ll have to pick her or us. Just reminding you, we all grew up together.”

Then he walked away, leaving the younger one to decide.

Sehun furrowed his eyebrows and clenched his jaws together with closed fists –– his face twitching.

“What should we do today?” Irene smiled. She had her chin laying on top of Seulgi’s chest as she watched her facial expressions with interest.

Seulgi laid comfortably on the bed with both her hands behind her head, staring up at the ceiling, “Hm, I’m not sure. All I know is I don’t feel like going to school today. I’m exhausted.”

“Alright, I think I know what we can do. I want to take you somewhere.”

“Where to?”

“It’s a surprise,” Irene chuckled, “Come on, let’s go.”

She held Seulgi’s hand and intertwined their fingers together.

“O–okay,” Seulgi stuttered.

Seulgi looked ahead, following the trail with agape, “Th–this trail seems so long…”

“Don’t worry. We’re walking in the wilderness, but it’s pretty calming and refreshing out here. Come with me, I’ll make sure nothing will harm us.”

“O–okay.”

They walked together hand in hand while making their way towards Irene’s surprise.

“Won’t you tell me a bit more about yourself..? I feel like I still barely know you,” Seulgi said out of the blue.

Irene widened her eyes a little and looked at Seulgi.

“What do you want to know?”

“You said there wasn’t much to say last time, but I feel like you have a lot of things to tell. So, you really are that..?”

“What? What’s ‘that’?”

“A–A vam–vampire.”

Then, Irene burst into laughter.

“Wh–what? D–did I say something that’s so funny? What are you laughing at..?” Seulgi became flustered, “S–stop laughing at me..”

“I’m sorry, haha. You humans give us such weird names. A vampire?”

“Y–Yeah, I guess..”

“Why not just call us the bloodsucking monsters that we are?”

“Wh–What? No! I can’t do that. You’re not a monster!” Seulgi exclaimed, stopping the two from their tracks.

Irene widened her eyes, looking so startled by the sudden outburst.

“Trust me, you’re not a monster, I swear. You’re beautiful. You seem like a good person, and I–I…”

The two just stared into each other’s eyes. Irene, with anticipation showing on her face, waited for Seulgi to finish her sentence.

“I like you…”

Seulgi’s cheeks began to form a shade of pink, then she looked down at the ground, seeming unconfident with her words as Irene remained silent.

But she smiled afterwards.
