━ { Sleepless Night/You & Me Era

For the older four WARdEN girls, working with the four members of f(x) was pretty amazing. They worked well as their own unit, and were able to flawlessly meld together with WARdEN and make some amazing unit. Miyoung and Krystal were constantly praised for their visuals, while Nari and Victoria were praised for their dancing, Rose and Luna their vocals, and Soo Jung and Amber their rapping. It was unfortunate, but in their title track, while the MV audio would have Soo Jung and Amber splitting in half, in reality Amber would rap the whole things- In the end, with the choreography it was better that way. They didn't really become friends with each other, but they were professional and kind, so it was a good thing. Their MV and minialbum (EP, really, there were only four songs) would drop on April 16th. Too bad they wouldn't be promoting for very long at all.

On Yoonmi's end, she would be releasing a solo EP under her real name, but wouldn't be performing on music shows- She was a digital-only soloist, if it really counted as going solo. She would release an MV for one song. Sumia though, she was still working on getting back into the swing of things. She was learning their choreography and her parts fairly well, but still stayed out of the limelight. Her official return had been announced in late February, but they didn't want her out in the public eye until they were sure she was going to be perfect.

WARdEN was, on the side, preparing for their six member comeback, scheduled for mid-May. Everything was going on schedule, and Shigeri had debuted back in March with The Little Prince. He was well-recieved and had appeared on WARdEN Showtime during their "between-season" episode, to show their concert. He was getting pretty popular, and that was great. UouO Media was starting to pick up steam and make more money.

When the 18th arrived, Yoonmi's Beautiful, You & Me ft. Mark of NCT, and Cider did pretty well. Not nearly as well as Cloud's releases, which had Sleepless Night debuting at #70 on the Gaon chart, or Shigeri who had way more single digital sales, but she was pleased with her work anyway. Working with Mark had been fun, and her popularity within the group- Instead of the fifth searched out of all of them, she became the third. That's why Yoonmi felt confident walking into the meeting halfway through Cloud's promotions. She had nothing to worry about.

That's what she thought.

"Lau Maeri will be leaving WARdEN and UouO Media after Cloud promotions. This is due to a personal even within her family that we are not at liberty to discuss. Ms. Lau is already in the process of removing her personal effects from the dorm. She will be replaced with another Chinese trainee who we feel can take up Maeri's parts. After this, WARdEN will try to stay with that lineup. Instead of a comeback in mid-May as we planned, it will be in late May. We'll re-record all of the songs for the new album as well as your former songs. That is all."

Wu Yufei was nervous. She'd never been called up to the CEO's office before, and the way all of the other trainees had looked at her when Shigeri's manager had called for her hadn't helped. Some had even laughed at her. Was she going to get kicked out? Was she in trouble? Had the press found her? This is bad, this is so bad. She forced her expression to one on indifference and took a deep breath, looking at the CEO's door. Daeun knocked before pushing it open and ushering her inside. The CEO was sitting at her desk, but offered her a small smile.

"Please, sit," Yufei did as told immediately, not wanting to anger her.

"You can calm down, Ms.Yu, nothing bad is going on here. I have an offer for you," Yufei nodded, listening intently, "An extension to your contract up to 2020. You would be guranteed some sort of promotions under us up until 2018. WARdEN member Sumia has that exact same extension. However, it does come with a very serious condition."

"What would that be, ma'am?"

"That you join WARdEN as a replacement for Lau Maeri, who will be departing from the company shortly. We would like you to join our girl group, Ms. Wu," CEO Ahn finished, sitting back and studying the younger's reaction. The only thing that repeated in Yufei's mind was Another chance, another chance, another chance. After giving her a few moments, CEO Ahn cleared , looking at her expectantly, "Well?"

"Absolutely, CEO-nim."

The new six were given a painfully short time to get used to each other. Yufei was already practicing with them only two days after she signed her contract, and by the time the week was over, she was moving in. To be fair, all of them had at least met her once as a trainee and while none of them had treated her as some of the trainees did (Main example being calling her Jjangkkae, or dog) as they'd each worked with the foreign trainees extensively before. Obviously they'd worked with Maeri and knew it wasn't always easy being Chinese in South Korea, racism was as strong as ever. So that's why as the newly-reinstated leader Seulki had made it her mission to make her as comfortable as possible. Starting with allowing her to take Maeri's bed, the biggest and comfiest.

"Are you su-"

"Of course I am! I've been sleeping in this bed for years, it'd be weird to change now~" And much more comfortable, but she kept that to herself. She inspected the elder's outfit, black and white New York sweater and white shorts. She winced, "If you change into something warmer, I can take you to our normal convenience store? The one we sneak out to when we're hungry. Shh, no one's allowed to know! Since we're kept on diets- You're starting a diet today, right? It's okay, Miyoung can teach you all of her eat-junk-but-stay-thin tricks! C'mon, let's go~"

Yoonmi has accompanied them, feeling more comfortable at Seulki's side after admitting everything. The cmpany was still discussing what to do about her problem. They didn't want to bring too negative of publicity towards the band, bt it was really becoming a serious problem. They'd kept the letter she'd recieved at the fansign hidden away where no one would touch it, and were currently considering starting an investigation and handing it in as evidence, keeping it as secret as possible. They also knew that keeping it a secret the whole time was impossible, hence why they were holding out.

Either way, Yoonmi was glad that the company had seen to keeping better security, particularly during their schedules. That and the fact that Rose has seamlessly interted herself into almost all of Yoonmi's individual schedules. That was still a mystery, how she always ended up there at one point, inspecting the younger with a small smile.

They three entered the store, and Rose immediately gestured grandly to the cashier.

"Yufei, meet our friend Nayoung! She'll never say that you were here~ She also makes a horrible amount of puns. I'll leave you two to introduce yourselves, Imma go see what Yoonie is doing!" Seulki skipped away and Yufei stared after the vocalist.

"She's...Interesting," Yufei nodded to herself, making quick introductions with Nayoung before browsing the aisles. She wasn't particularly close with any of the girls but she'd make it work. This was her opportunity to get back what she had lost, and she'd do it.

(author's note) Short, BARELY-chapter since it's about sunubits, Shigeri, Yoonmi, Maeri leaving, plus introducing her replacement. There's not much actual content in this chapter. XD Sorry. So meet the new lead vocalist and main dancer of WARdEN, Wu YuChiao/Yu Yufei, also known as Yoo~ She's from Wuhan, China.
