Yiyun’s POV

*7.00pm*

I came out of the shower wearing casual clothes while frying my left over rice. It wasn’t long before I heard my doorbell rang. I made my way over to the door, opening it for Jongin who has been wanting to talk to me.

“Hey hyung~” Jongin welcomes himself in like always every time he comes over.

“Hm, what’s up Jongin? You sounded pretty serious on the phone earlier on.” I made my way back to the kitchen.

“I have to get straight to the point so don’t get weirded out when talking about this.” I continued to fry my rice with mixed vegetables.

“Yeah, yeah go on, what is it?” I say with my back facing him.

“Have you ever been in love?” My arm stopped moving, followed with my mind.

“Well, there must be a reason why you are asking me this…” I turn off the heat and allocate a seat next to him.

“Hyung, have you?” I know he is younger than me by 9 years but to me he has always been like a friend, a same year friend.

“Wanna keep a secret for you hyung then?” I nudge his elbow.

“Eung!” He raises his finger to his lips, making a ‘Shh’ gesture.

“3 seconds.”

“Huh?” I can tell he was confused.

“It was love at first sight for me, 3 seconds was all it took, one of the best 3 seconds in my life.”

“HAHA! Well that’s a first, Hyung, this girl must be very lucky then, no one has made your heart beat like her right, in fact no one has ever made your heart flutter.”

“Well, yes she is my first love. My heart beat, three times aloud, I remember.” I poured all my honest feelings onto Jongin.

“Thank you for your answer, now I know I’m not the only one.” Whoah, has he fell in love too?

“I plan on keeping your secret, a secret till the day I get your permission to talk to someone about it.” He says with a cheesy smile.

“This talk we are having, it’s not just about my love life right? But yours?” He stops smiling and turns serious.

“Can you keep a secret for me?”

“Of course.”

“3 seconds, like you said.” I got goose bumps all of a sudden from this coincidence.

“Whoah! Who’s the girl?”

“Eghm, I ain’t telling, since you havn’t told me but don’t worry I will show you instead, tomorrow during maths period.” Jongin throws himself onto the floor, gently landing on his back with his hands clenched to his heart.

“Argh, my heart…she’s just too perfect, I must have her.”

“Haha, good luck with that, whoever she is.”

“Ya Hyung~…”

“Hue, okay okay la…I’m pretty sure she will fall for you too. I mean, knowing the female students in the school, your chances are pretty high.”

“Aw, how long has it been since she has been your first love?” He plays with his nails.

“Uh…a couple of hours ago?” Jongin’s eyes widen while he he rushes himself to sit up.

“When…when…did you fall for her?” He seems to be a bit taken back.

“I guess today?”

“WAH! Hi-5 hyung!” I weakly raise my hand while he slaps it hard.

“It was also today for me, gosh~ mm what’s that smell?” Whoah what a big coincidence.

“Haha help me cook then. Luckily I cooked to servings for us.”

The night went on as Jongin and I ate in a pleasant mood. After eating, Jongin got a call from his parents saying that he needs to go back home since it was getting late. It was quiet again, but my mind was still in chaos. I went to my bag and got out the yellow notebook that I remembered reading a bit earlier today. I went upstairs to my room and sat on my desk. My eyes wanted to examine every bit of detail that appeared in that book, Im Yoona, what have you done to me?

My phone received a notification as my eyes beamed up from reading page by page.

Jongin:

9.00pm- I’m going to ask Siwon hyung to help me meet up with her. You should tell Hyung your 3 seconds too!

Me:

9.01pm- Haha, it may be too early for your Hyung here, well good luck with yours and don’t hassle Siwon too much around this time, you know how he is like if he doesn’t get his 9 hours of sleep.. :P

Jongin:

9.05pm- I still don’t know
