“Hyunae. Sweetie please come down here.” Her father shouted from downstairs.

“Yes Dad?”

“Tomorrow were going to move to Paris.”

“Why Dad? I don’t want to leave.”

“Well sweetie. My boss relocated my job to Paris. We have to move no matter what. I don’t know if we'll ever come back.”

Hyunae hugs her dad. She knew how much her dad loved his job. “Let’s move to Paris Dad.”

Hyunae walked over to Kai’s house and rang the doorbell.

Kai’s mom answered the door. “Good morning Hyunae. Kai’s working out in the garage. Did you want me to get him?”

“Oh no it’s fine. I have to talk to him about personal stuff.”

“Okay sure honey. Come in side.”

Hyunae walked to the kitchen and headed towards the garage door. She opened it and glared at a shirtless Kai.

Kai took his towel and started wiping his sweat. “You didn’t tell me you were going to come.”

“Kai. I’m heading to work so if you are planning to go out please make sure all the doors are locked.” His mother notify him and left out the door.

“Well… I came here to talk to you about us.” She nervously walked back and forth.

“What about us?”

“My dad’s job has been relocated in Paris and I’m moving there by tomorrow. I don’t know when I’m coming back.

“That’s not a problem we still can send text messages, skype, and phone call to each other.” Kai held her hands and smiled real big.

She forced her hands away from Kai. “The thing is I can’t deal with long distance relationship Kai. We won’t see each other as much anymore. Maybe even lose feelings for each other.”

“So that’s it. You’re just going to let go just like that?”

“I’m afraid so.” Hyunae’s eyes filled with tears. “I’m sorry Kai, but-”

“There’s no buts. I thought we would have… have a future together. You really meant nothing to me.” Kai looked into her eyes with mad tears.

She slapped his cheek and walked out the house. She ran upstairs and packed all the stuff he gave her into a box and headed next door to returned his stuff onto his doorstep. She left a note on the box “KAI” and went back to her house. Kai opened the door and picked up the box. He walked towards the trash and threw it out. Hyunae watched him from her bedroom window and teared up.

The doorbell rang and she ran downstairs and thought it was Kai. She opened the door and three girls stood there staring at her.

Hyunae started crying harder. “I’m so glad you guys are here.”

Sora, her cousin, Minah and Areum, her best friends, gave her a group hug.

“Shesh Hyunae you haven’t seen us that long and you’re already crying.” Sora rubbed Hyunae’s back.

They walked up to Hyunae’s room and sat on her bed.

“I didn’t know you would miss us that much. We’ve only been gone for two weeks to Japan for the school fundraising.” Sora smiled while rubbing Hyunae’s shoulder.

“Well, I miss you guys, but I have bad news.” Hyunae said wiping her tears.

“Go on.” Minah gave her the nods to continue.

“We’ll I’m moving to paris because of my dad’s job has been relocated there and I broke up with Kai.”

Hyunae told the whole incident. “But like he said I was nothing to him. He’s better off without me.”

“It’s fine. There’s more fishes out in the sea.” said Areum.

Kai sat on his bed listening to the girls conversation and held a grudge against Hyunae.

The next morning Sora’s father carpooled Hyunae and her father to the airport.

Kai watched her get into the car and drove away.
