CHAPTER 13 

                 "you can't hide something that you don't have and I have nothing left of me anymore"                                                                                                    --- YURI

"Do you see what happens when you open that big mouth of yours and say something useless?" Hyoyeon asked Sooyoung who's sitting beside her innocently at the kitchen 
"Come on Hyo, you know it's a joke" Sooyoung defended herself looking at Jessica sitting quietly on the living room
"Did someone laugh?" she asked and that sounded so serious

Sooyoung sighed "I know... I get it... sorry" as she looked at Jessica again "do you really think it's possible?" her tone was deep, not her usual one
"that Soojung and Kwon Yuri, our Kwon Yuri is dating?"
"No..." Hyoyeon quickly answered "but only if this past few days didn't happen, but it did, just one day we woke up and that's it... Yuri and Soojung they are like the best friends"

Sooyoung sighed again "What if they are really dating?"
"I don't know..." she answered truthfully "it's not like we have a say on it..."
"I guess you're right, It's Kwon Yuri we're talking about here anyway and anything we say or do, don't matter..which hurt a little because in everything we do, even though we don't admit it, we value her words and what she feels" with sadness on her voice "What's that five long years living together for? late night practice, memories on stage"

Hyoyeon agreed in silence, Sooyoung's right. They value Yuri more than she knows and it hurts them that Yuri doesn't feel the same way

"How is it possible that she can resist not getting close to this pretty human being?" Sooyoung touching her face "Is Kwon Yuri a human?" she remarks which makes Hyoyeon chuckled
"How is it possible that you can confidently say that? Are you even human?" which makes both of them laugh

"But seriously though, even if we don't have a say on it... if you'd ask me, I'll be happy for them" she sincerely said "Besides the Jung temper, Soojung is perfect... as for Kwon Yuri, she's definitely a catch... That abs, those smiles, Even her side profile, wow! I still remember how I ended up looking at her side profile all day, If she'll ask me out, 
I'll definitely say yes even with those y attitude"

Earning a weird look from Hyoyeon

"what I'm saying is, I think they'd make a lovely couple" Sooyoung added
"What we think doesn't matter, because at the end of the day... Kwon Yuri is still Kwon Yuri, Soojung is still Krystal Jung and Jessica, She'll always be Jessica Jung and you know exactly what she feels about her, she'd rather choose eating cucumber... she'd eat cucumber for God sake"

"2 hours..." Yuri said breaking the silence between her and Krystal
"huh?"
"I've been driving for two hours now and you're still not telling me what is going on exactly" She told her still focusing on driving
"just keep driving"

Yuri sighed as she parked her car at the side of the road "Seems like even if I drive until morning you wouldn't tell me anything..."

Krystal took her seatbelt off and stepped outside the car, she just keeps walking without saying anything same with Yuri who just walks behind her, after walking for almost an hour they ended up in a park, Krystal sat down on the bench followed by Yuri who silently sits besides her

Krystal's POV

Ever since I stepped outside the car earlier, walk for an hour until now Yuri didn't say anything she just followed me. I could feel the wind on my face, it should be cold but I couldn't feel it. 

"you're not gonna ask?" I broke the silence without looking at her
"I did earlier" She answered "but you didn't want to talk about it, not lot of people has the courage to talk about what's running inside their head especially if they can't even understand it herself"

She's right. How can I talk about it when I don't even understand it myself? How can I talk about what's going on with me if I don't know what's really going on?

"Can I ask you something?" I asked
"What is it?" 
"Can I trust you?" Never I imagine that I will ask those words to her but I did

I expect her to laugh at me the moment those words left my lips but there was no laugh instead she looked me in the eye "Do you trust me?"
"If I don't trust you, who will I trust?"
"then trust me" and that's all I needed, someone I can trust 

"Do you have a brother?" I asked, I felt her stiffen for a moment, did I ask a wrong question? "I mean, that's what your bio says that the company release and we both know that not all of it is true" 

"I have..." she shortly answered
"Are you two close?" I was trying to find that same reaction moment ago but no luck, there was not even a hint on her face, was the darkness fooling me when I mentioned "brother"
"I said that you can trust me but I didn't say that you can ask me about my life" there was no emotion coming from her, 
"Wow!... and here I thought we are getting closer" I said sarcastically, maybe she's teasing me but it was just like those moments, when I confronted her about how my sister can't be grateful to her, it was like in the past each time she just pass by me like I wasn't there... Like nobody's there.
"Don't let anyone get so close to you that they can push you with their bare hand" She said looking at me "I told you that..." and I remember, I understood those words I just--- I never heard her telling me that again because I made a promise to her "I will always be there for you, I promised you that"

"Do you even know what a promise means? because I don't" as she leaned her back and looked at the sky, I'm supposed to tell her that it's something that you should keep with all of you heart no matter what happen and what part she can't understand about it
"Don't say those words carelessly because you don't know how long it'll stay on someone's mind even if you have forgotten it" She continued, I may not know her but I could tell that she's telling it from experience, was it the reason why she is like this now? Another question of Kwon Yuri's mystery 
"I appreciate your concern but I intend to keep it" and I meant it

She sits straight as she look at me "I appreciate it too... but action and words aren't the same, don't confuse the two"

"Yul---"I tried to argue but before I could start she stops me
"since you don't know what you are saying, I'll let you off" She said looking at me "and please tell me you're aware that I'm in the same age as your sister, at least pretend to respect me and call me unnie" she joked as she ruffled my hair

I sighed deeply, I don't think I can argue with someone who's coming from experience, Though I know this is fight I couldn't win over her, I meant it... Every words and promise I made to her, I'll keep it...

End of POV

"You're still thinking about what Sooyoung said?" Tiffany sits on the side of her bestfriends bed
"yeah, I couldn't help it" Jessica answered "what if they are really dating?"
"I should be the one asking you that, What if they are really dating?"

Jessica sits up "you know what's my answer to that"

"Of course I do..." Tiffany said "but before you do something, I'd like to ask this.... have you seen how happy Krystal is when she's with Yuri?"
"I do... and It's been a long time since I see those smiles and I'd wish nothing but to see her smile everyday but you know who Yuri is..."
"Do I?" Tiffany asked "Do you? Do we?"
"I know you always thought that Yuri is a good person, that maybe one day she'll finally open up to us, that maybe someday she'll show how big her heart is... but Krystal is my only sister and I can't risk her waiting for that one day that may never come... because the Kwon Yuri we've met 5 years ago is still the same Kwon Yuri who never smiles, who never eat with us, who never sit's with us, who never mentioned her family, the same Kwon Yuri we know nothing about, and God forgive me but I can't let my sister get caught up in the middle of her mess up life"

"So, How are you and your sister?" Yuri asked

Krystal smiled "I wonder when will that question come, you knew didn't you?"

"knew what?" she asked innocently

Krystal smiled again "when did you notice?"

"you mean when did it become so obvious that you're basically trying to pissed your sister by leeching on me?... I can't believe someone just used me..."

Krystal chuckled "First of all, my sisters name is Jessica which you already know because you've been living in one roof for 5 years... second, I'm not leeching on you or to anyone and lastly, I'm not trying to pissed my sister, you make a good company"

"I do?"

Krystal smile, nodding "For some reason, yeah..."

"You'll meet Krystal tommorow, right?" Tiffany asked
"Yeah," Jessica nodded
"Try to hear her side first"
"She's my sister, Tiff... I'll always hear her side"
"That's good to hear"
"You should know me better than that, You're my bestfriend" she smiled
"I know you better than anyone, that's why I am worried" she said with a serious look "it's not just Krystal asking for your permission on a night out"

Jessica kept silence, they both know it

"You know I'm always on your side, right?" Tiffany told her
"I know and I love you for it" She smiled
"just make sure, you'll make a right decision, because if you don't...."
"I could lose my sister"

"She asked me to spend time with her tomorrow" Krystal told Yuri "catch up, like we used to"
"Sounds good, but you don't sound happy" She stated the evidence on Krystal's voice
"I am happy, I just can't get my hopes up and get dissapointed" Even without Yuri looking at her, she knew how sad she is "I even lost count on how many times she ask me to catch up that never happen"
"She had her reasons"

Krystal smiled weakly "I know... Priorities"

"You are her her sister, you'll always be one of her priorities"
"one of.." She stated "I was always on top when it comes to her but now, I'm just, one of..."

Krystal sighed deeply "You must be thinking I'm really weird right now"
"I always thought you are weird" Yuri teased that makes Krystal chuckled "She might come tomorrow"
"Don't get my hopes up"
"I'm not getting your hopes up" She said "Just, she call you yet? to rain check?"
"Not yet but I----"
"How can you trust someone like me and not your sister?"

Krystal chuckled "right, I must be loosing it" She stood "then should I get her something?"
"huh?"
"I mean if she shows up tomorrow I c---"

"Should we buy her clothes? I may not know her that well but I think she likes clothes, especially the branded one" earning a "look" from Krystal
"which is normal because she is an idol and need to protect her image" Yuri added
"She has lots of clothes, I don't think she'll ever wear it"
"It's a gift from you, of course she will"
"like what you've said, you don't know my sister"
"how about bag?"
"it's not her birthday"
"Why don't you just stay at home, you know cook something, watch movies while catching up, I think it's perfect to catch up with your sister"
"I think it's great... Only if we can cook, but we can't"
"Don't get her anything, what could you wish for if Krystal Jung is sitting beside you" which makes Krystal smile fully
"At last" Yuri said, ruffling Krystals hair "it suits you"
"that's why I'm telling you, you sitting here listening while I'm whining is more than enough" Krystal stood up "let's just forget it..."

"if you still think that giving bag to someone is weird, what will you think if someone gave you a ring?"
"Oh my God!" Krystal gasped, going back to her seat
"what?"
"you're getting married!!!"
"What?" Yuri chuckled
"so the rumours were true, you really did buy a ring and you're getting married!!???" she continues "who is she? Can I meet her?? Let's got meet her!" 
"and what makes you think that because I gave a ring to someone, I'm getting married?" Yuri laughing
"because that's what you're giving to someone if you're gonna ask them to marry you" stating the obvious "Did she say yes? Please tell me she said yes" crossing her finger
"First of all, Yes... I gave someone a ring, but not to marry her okay, so stop with the imagination" Yuri said "Second, a ring is not only asking for marriage, it's also a symbol that, even though I can't be with her physically, I'll always be with her, that's why I gave it to her... I can't be with her all the time so I wanted her to feel that I'm always with her"
"I never thought that you could be so insensitive"
"What?"
"I bet she cried"
"why do you think that?"
"because when you show a ring to a girl, you should be on your knees, asking her to marry you, not for being with her all the time" Krystal explained "I bet she totally cried because of your stupidity..."
"YAH!!! I'm still older than you, you know"
"I feel like crying for her, should I hit you for her?"
"You're the one who's being stupid right now"
"If I were that girl who you put in, I'll always be beside you zone... I'll dump you in a heartbeat" Krystal said "you know for someone as nice, caring, as sweet as you, you Kwon Yuri do know how to break someone's heart"
"Okay... Ms. Judgemental, can I explain myself here? First of all, I did not break someone's heart, and Second I would never break her heart, I'd break my heart for her"
"and now I can totally understand why she can't leave you" She smile staring at her "That girl is so lucky..."

Yuri smiled "I think it's the opposite, I'm lucky to have her"
"That's why she's lucky" Krystal said "How I wish I have someone to think they are lucky to have me in their life"
"Your family does"
"Yeah, My parents does..." Krystal said 
"Your sister love you" 
"Can we not talk about how much my sister love me?" as she closed her eyes and leaned on the bench they are sitting

Yuri understood, she understand what she meant... so she leaned on the bench and looked up at the sky "you know why I gave her that ring? because no matter how I wanted to be with her, I can't... because of the way I'm living, because once people know about her, they'll dig up her life... and I do not want that for her"

"Coming from someone who's able to hide everything about her life" Krystal looking at her

Yuri smile weakly "It's not that I'm trying to hide anything... because the truth is, you can't hide something that you don't have and I have nothing left of me anymore"

Krystal stares at her, she couldn't say anything or more of she doesn't know what to say

Yuri smiles weakly again "Did just I spill myself?"
"Let's go...." Krystal stood up, smiling
"huh?"
"I said let's go"
"Where?"
"Let's go buy a ring, pabo" She said smiling

"We're here" Yuri said
"huh?"

Yuri took her seatbelt off and flicked Krystals forehead
"yah!!!" Krystal rubbed her forehead "it hurts!"
"are you back on your senses now?" She asked "Do I really looked that good?"
"you're the one who's out of senses" As she leaned back on her seat, and see a familiar place "We're here?"

Yuri chuckled "Obviously..."
"Why didn't you tell me?"
"Why didn't I te----" She stopped, as Krystal step out of the car, Yuri sighed as she stepped out of the car

"For your information, I told you that we are here, you just can't take your eyes off of me" She teased
Krystal looked at her unbelievably "Are you sick?" putting her hands on Yuri's face
Yuri continue laughing "it's already late, you go inside and rest"
Krystal nodded 
"why are you not moving?"
"Okay..." Krystal said as she steps, then turn to Yuri again "bye...." waiving Yuri just nodded, as Krystal continue walking.... then stops again

"Yul..." she mummbled 

Yuri just look at her

"I--uh.... nothing..." She said "just be careful on your way..." then she walk again
"I'm okay..." Yuri said, making Krystal stop from her tracks and looks at her
"Don't worry, I'm fine" assuring her with a smile 

Krystal just stare at her

"I told yo-----" Krystal suddenly hugged her

Yuri was taken aback, but she couldn't help smiling "Can't keep your hands off of me, huh"

Krystal mummbled something as she pulled back

"what did you say?"
"Nothing..." Krystal shook her head
"It's already late, you should really go inside"

Krystal stares again

"Stop looking at me like that" Yuri hit her forehead again 
"ouch!! That hurts!"

Yuri chuckled "just go inside, take a rest and enjoy your time with your sister tomorrow, okay?"

Krystal nodded followed by a deep sigh

Yuri ruffled her hair again as she made her way towards the door..

Yuri smiled as she looks at her getting inside the building "I feel so much better now"
