“you’re still awake?” Taeyeon asked seeing her mother waiting at the living room “I have keys…”

“I know, but Sunny’s here so-----“

“Hey…” Sunny who just came from the kitchen

“I should sleep now,…” Mrs. Kim said “it’s nice to see you again, Sunny-ah… bring the other girls next time, I miss them too”

“I will” she smiled, as Mrs. Kim go upstairs

 

“if it was about the dinner, I’m really sorry…” Taeyeon spoke first

“I’m not here for that dinner,” Sunny said “I’m curious… I just wanna see if that somewhere you need to be is locking yourself in your room; I just want to see if that somewhere you need to be is getting yourself drunk…” looking straight at her

“Sunny I’m fine, ok… I’m not sitting at the corner of my room, and I’m pretty sure I’m not drunk…” she stated “so you can stop worrying about me anymore”

“stop worrying about you?” Sunny faked a laugh “I wish I could, but you don’t get to tell me that, and you know what I’d prefer someone to answer my calls when you can’t because you’re drunk, than see you drifting away…”

“What are you talking about? I’m not drifting away…”

“really? really Taeyeon? Because ever since that night you’re pushing everyone away!”

“I am not pushing anyone…” she argued

“yeah?” she asked sarcastically “tell that to Seohyun who’s waiting for you to comeback, to Yoona who can’t remember the last time you talk because you’re always gone, and to Tiffany wh-----“

“stop…” she cut her off

“what? Am I not allowed to say her name now?” Sunny asked “I know you’re hurt, and I can’t imagine how much pain you’re in but you can’t treat Tiffany like this...”

“stop!” she screamed which made Sunny stop “do you think it’s easy for me to act like I don’t know her? Do you think it’s easy for me act like she wasn’t there?” She asked looking straight at her “Sunny, it kills me!.. it kills me every time…” as tears starts to drop “I love her and I miss her everyday… and in order for me to stand in front of her and look at her eyes again, I have to kill this feeling”

Worried, Guilt was evident on Sunny’s face “I’m sorry… I’m rea-----“

“does that answer all your question?” Taeyeon asked “you can go now..”

“I’m really sorry…” Sunny said as she walks past on her

 

The performance is as perfect as usual. Every moves they make, laughter, smiles, everything, but they all knew that something’s wrong.

Sunny keep on glancing on Taeyeon, she really has no face to stand in front of her after what happen last night

 

Everyone’s taking a rest inside the car, when the manager wakes them up.

 

“I’m sorry, I know you’re all tired today but the President just called and he wants to meet you” The manager said “we’ll be going at SM building now”

 

Everyone is inside the room but it’s been 30 minutes and not even a shadow of the President showed up yet.

 

“Yul, where are you going?” the manager asked when he saw Yuri left her seat

“breathe some air…” she answered

“you can’t leave, the President could be here any minute”

“I could bet that, that any minute will be another 30 minutes” She said in sarcasm, doesn’t have any intention of staying

“but Yul, yo----“ before he could finish what he’s gonna say, Yuri closed the door

 

The manager hasn’t gained his composure yet about Yuri leaving, Taeyeon move from her seat unto the door, earning everyone’s attention

 

“Taeyeon, please not you too” the manager begged

“I’ll make sure she doesn’t leave” Taeyeon said as she made her way outside

 

“Thank God, I’m right” Taeyeon said when the door of the rooftop swung open and revealed Kwon Yuri with cans of beer on her “at least tell the manager you’re not gonna leave, the man look like he’s having a heart attack”

“I did… I told him I was gonna breath some air”

“yeah, you said that all the time, so it’s not really convincing”

“want some?” Yuri asked handing her a can of beer

“you like drinking don’t you?”

“Is that judgement I’m hearing?”

“no… of course not…” Taeyeon answered “it’s just that, the first time I saw you here is you were drinking in the middle afternoon”

“you mean when you were screaming here, something like I d------“

“okay stop…” Which makes Yuri laughed

“and besides you drink three cans that day”

“guilty… but only because it’s such a waste to leave it here”

“but the point is, you didn’t get drunk… and you didn’t make a mess when the President talk to us”

“yeah, but I don’t remember anything he says, I was basically sleeping with my eyes open with Sunny who almost killed me”

 

Yuri smiled “she keeps looking at you back there”

“I know” she said as she looked at the view “I just can’t talk to her right now”

“so you’re no choice but to talk to me huh?” she joked

“something like that” Taeyeon answered chuckling

 

“oppa calmed down…” it was Sunny

“How can I calm down, what Mr. President tell me is very clear…. Meet him with all of you” The manager said “I can bet that he could understand me with Yuri but Taeyeon too?.... I’m screwed”

 

Sunny couldn’t tell him that Taeyeon will come back, because even her don’t know what Taeyeon is thinking right now

 

“I’ve been trying to call her but she’s not answering, how about you call her?” the manager looked at her “you’re the best friend, right?”

“m-me?” Sunny asked again “ I—my phone died”

As the manager shift his gaze to Tiffany, with hopeful eyes

“I—uh…---“ Tiffany don’t know what to say, it’s not like she could tell him…. We’re not in speaking terms right now

“I’ll call her…” it was Seohyun, as Tiffany looked at her thankfully

 

Everyone was waiting for Taeyeon to answer Seohyun’s call when Jessica’s phone rings…

Everyone looked at her “it’s Krystal…” she said, as she steps away from them to answer her call

 

“Hi…” she said

“Unnie, where are you?”

“at the President’s office.. why?”

“is Yuri there?”

“she’s not here…”

“so, it’s not a group talk…”

“Actually it is but she left and Taeyeon too, so our manager is basically having a heart attack right now”

“wow! I can understand Yuri but Taeyeon unnie too?... Daebak!”

“Yah, Soojung!....”

“I know…” Krystal laughed “I’m just joking… anyway can you call if you saw her…”

“and what do you need from her?”

“I’m going to give her something…”

“you remember that I am your sister right? Why are you giving her something and not your sister?”

“it’s not from me, someone just ask me to give it to her… anyway call me please….”

 

“I think he already had a heart attack” Taeyeon said after not answering his call

“I told you that if he doesn’t call you again, he’s still alive, means that the President is not there yet” Yuri said “and guess what it’s been 15 minutes since he last called means, that he’s not there yet”

 

Taeyeon phone rings again, but this time it wasn’t the manager… it was Seohyun

“Unnie, where are you?” Seohyun asked

“Is the President there?”

“no, but could you please come back? He might be here any minute now” Seohyun asked politely

“Okay…. See you there” then hung up…

 

Jessica’s phone ring again

 

“Why are you calling again?”

“I’m outside the President’s office”

“what?”

“I’m outside…”

Jessica went outside as she saw Krystal there

 

“what are you doing here?” Jessica asked, hanging up her phone

“I’m looking for Yuri…”

“I told you she’s not here” Jessica said as she saw small box on Krystals hand “is that the gift?”

“yeah, it’s cute, right?”

“I can give it to her…”

Krystal looked at her with a question look “You will give it to her?”

Jessica was speechless, did she really said that

 Krystal laughed “you look funny and besides the sender ask me to give it to Yuri personally”

“and who is that sender exactly?”

“A fan I guess… see,” Krystal said as she showed her the note on the box “Krystal unnie, please give this to Yuri unnie for me, will you? Saranghae!”

 

“I know you’re not drunk, but you kind of smell like a drunk…” Taeyeon said

“well I’ve had 4 and you had one… that’s a lot of difference”

“that’s why I told you to take it slow….”

 

“Yuri-ahh, Taeyeon unnie!” Krystal runs towards them

“hi, Soojung…” Taeyeon greeted her first

“Yuri-ahh, I have som-----“ she stops at the smell of alcohol “are you two drunk?”

“We’re not…” they answered in unison

“Ewww!” Krystal said at the smell of their breath “I thought you are gonna see the President?”

“yeah…” Yuri answered

“yeah? you two both know that you will be talking to the President but you still drink and now you smell, and just YEAH?”

“well, I’ve only had one…” Taeyeon reasoned “but she had 4”

“Don’t worry, I’m not gonna puke on them”

“but you will seriously gonna be in trouble”

“Oh I love trouble….” She joked

“God!!!” Krystal said as she pulled Yuri and Taeyeon to the nearest bathroom

 

“Brush your teeth, “ Krystal said as she took a toothbrush and toothpaste on her bag, getting a weird look from Yuri and Taeyeon

“Don’t look at me like that… It’s not used, they’re giving them at the plane, and I’m not gross like you”

“like I’ve said, I’ve only had one… gum would be enough” Taeyeon said as Krystal gave her a gum

“Gum would be enough for me too” Yuri said

“no, I don’t think so…” Taeyeaon said

“your breath smells,---- I can’t even say it… so brush your teeth for God’s Sake…”

 

Yuri sighed “fine…” as she starts brushing off her teeth

“okay now?” Yuri said

“better…” Krystal said as she wiped some left bubbles on Yuri’s face, then they a click sound coming from Taeyeon

“what are you doing?” Yuri asked

“I’m just taking a picture, in case you start acting like some tough guy on me… I’ll post this anywhere…” Taeyeon taking another of Krystal and Yuri again “Our Kwon Yuri is very cute…” she said laughing

“Give me a copy of that please…” Krystal said laughing

“Yahhhhh!!!”

“hahhahaha, please post for me,” Taeyeon said “just one please….”

“I won’t …” Yuri said as Krystal hooks her arms on her neck “yahhh!!!”

“one won’t hurt you” Krystal said as she smiles at the camera with her arms on Yuri’s neck “and besides you’re taking a picture with Krystal Jung you should be honoured”

 

Yuri laughed “really? Fine…. just one…” as they both smile at the camera…

 

“are you a dog?” Yuri said Krystal won’t stop smelling her “I don’t smell like alcohol now and guess what I smell right now?... I smell Krystal Jung… you basically pour your perfume on me”

“you should be thankful, I don’t use it every day… it’s a gift…”

“well then Thank you, Ms. Jung..” she said sarcastically “and why are you walking with us anyway?”

“because I have to go somewhere, and I need someone to go with me” she answered as she stops walking and look at Yuri

 

Yuri also looked at her back

 

“she’s looking at you…” Taeyeon state the obvious

“I think you got the wrong person” Yuri said as she starts walking

“no, I don’t think so… you’re just the perfect person to go with me” Krystal follows her

 

“are you serious? for real?” Yuri asked again when they reach the President’s office

“Of course, and besides you have to pay for that perfume…” Krystal said

“What?”

“I told you I don’t use it every day because it’s a gift…” She said

“I didn’t ask you to pour it on me…”

Krystal looked at her with tearful eyes

Yuri looked at her weirdly “yah!... stop that…”

 And instead of stopping, Krystal blinks a few times for the tears to be more visible

And as much as Taeyeon is surprise the way Krystal is acting, she finds it really, really funny

“Yah, Kwon Yuri are you gonna make our baby Jung cry?”

 

Yuri glared at her “should I make you cry too?”

Then Krystal starts sobbing,

 

“Aigoo, if Jessica hear her crying.. who knows that could happen”

“yah, Krystal Jung, are you a kid??”

“she’s a kid…” Taeyeon butted in

 

Yuri glared at her again, as she looked at Krystal who obviously is on acting

Yuri sighed

“I think that’s a yes” Krystal smiled as she wipes her faked tears

“Wow!, you should try getting on a drama now… you’re an actress”

 

Krystal just laughed “Thank you, Taeyeon unnie…”

 

“Oppa, calm down… Taeyeon unnie said they are on their way” Seohyun said looking at their worried manager

All of them focused when they heard the door opening, revealing Taeyeon first, The happiness of the manager is evident…

“I’m sorry for that…” Taeyeon apologized

“no it’s ok---” he stopped when someone came inside following Taeyeon “you’re here?”

 

Yuri looked at him “Should I leave?”

“n-no! no of course not” He answered

 

Taeyeon stopped for a moment… The office is big but not enough Since everyone is there, means they all have to share a seat and the only seat left is at the left side with Sooyoung, Jessica and Tiffany at the end, she can’t just seat with her after all those ignoring… Yuri tapped her shoulder as she sits down beside Tiffany..

 

“The president is here.. everyone take a seat” the manager breaking the tension

Taeyeon sit beside Yuri as she looked at her thankfully

 

“what are you doing?” Sooyoung whispered to Jessica

“what?”

“what are you doing? You look like you’re smelling a food?” Sooyoung answered “but I don’t think they have a food here, I will know it..”

Jessica nudged her 

 

“I know everyone’s tired so I’m ending this now… congratulations for the successful concert and Like what I’ve promised you will have a break tomorrow… an no matter what you do is up to you… but make sure it won’t give us any trouble, understand?”

“yes…” everyone answered

 

They are all walking at the hallway towards the elevator

 

“Thank you for earlier…” Taeyeon whispered to Yuri who both walking at the back

“you owe me a drink..”

Which made Taeyeon smiled “drink it is…”

 

“Can I go grab a drink?” Hyoyeon asked when they are in front of the cafeteria “I’m thirsty…”

“me too…” Yoona and Sooyoung said in unison as they went inside the cafeteria and followed by everyone, besides of course by Yuri and Taeyeon

 

“manager-oppa” it was Taeyeon “since we don’t have a schedule for today, can I go first?”

“I can drive you home, I know you’re tired…”

“no, it’s okay… but Thank you anyway..” she smiled

“ok, but I’ll go grab you a coffee first” he said as he also went inside

 “how about you Yul, you also brought your car, right? Let’s go walk together…”

“Yeah, can we wait for a second…” Yuri said as she took her phone and called someone

 

“Where are you? I’m here at the cafeteria… you better hurry before I’ll change my mind” she said as she ended the call smiling,

 

“ahhh, Soojungie…” Taeyeon said remembering

“you take her side, remember?”

“I’m not taking her side” Taeyeon defended “I just don’t want to see her cry…”

“everything is obviously fake…”

Taeyeon laughed “it was really fun though…”

Yuri just smile

“you two are really close, aren’t you?... I mean don’t get me wrong but when did you get closer? Or Maybe how? You’re closer to her than us, who spent 5 years under one roof with you”

“Maybe, I don’t click with old people” she joked

“Yah! We’re same age, I’m just months older…”

 

“Yuri-ahhhhhhhhh!” they both heard yelling behind them

“are you ready?” Yuri asked “where are we going any-----“

“unnie!” Soojung said, as GG members getting out of the shop…

 

“Soojung, Annyeong…” Tiffany greeted follows by everyone

“are you here alone?” Sunny asked

 

Krystal nodded “Congrats on the success of your concert, as expected Girls Generation Jjang!” with her thumbs up

“are you on your way to the dorm, we can drop you off” it was Jessica

“no, I still need to go somewhere..”

“you still have a schedule?... are you going alone?”

“Actually, I’m borrowing Yuri-unnie…” she said as she hooks on her arms

 

It’s wasn’t that obvious but everyone look at them

 

“I think we should go now.” Krystal said as she pulled Yuri and passing everyone

And that’s when Jessica realized the familiar scent she smell earlier, It was a perfume she gave to Krystal when she got home from Paris…

“They’re not dating, aren’t they?” Sooyoung asked out of the blue “the two of them would make a lovely couple”

Yoona and Hyoyeon choked on their drinks,

Sunny nudged her

“what?” she asked nonchalantly

 

Sunny pointed at Jessica, whose face cannot be painted…

 

“Taeyeon-ahh, your coffee!” the manager said, hurrying to get bring the coffee outside

But Taeyeon and Yuri walk like they’re not hearing anything…

 

“I didn’t know you are in your bad guy shenanigan right now Taeyeon unnie” Krystal said as she came back to manager and get the coffees

 

“Sooyeone-unnie, see you tomorrow” After taking the coffee

Jessica nodded still processing what just came out from Sooyoung’s big mouth

“They’re not dating, aren’t they?”
