Random Acts of Love: KyuWook DrabblesSacrifice
Ryeowook agreed to let me take on both Radio Star and Mamma Mia, but when I was gone from home all the time, began to regret it. Still, he never voiced his feelings. He’s not the type. Sungmin told me that he’d caught Ryeowook crying one day and he fessed up to it.
“I’m leaving Mamma Mia,” I told him one night in bed.
Ryeowook’s hand stilled from idly rubbing my chest. “Why?”
“You miss me being home. Don’t you?”
“You don’t have to for my sake…I know how much you wanted this for your career.”
“You’ll always come first.”
Beside Me
Have you ever been surrounded by dozens, perhaps hundreds of people, and felt utterly alone? You don’t know how often this happens to me as I’m standing on the stage, surrounded by screaming fans. Fame can be so isolating. It makes you a prisoner in your home, forces you to move from location to location undercover, and to hide the real you inside.
I often think of this at concerts, as I stand apart from the group, and then I feel a hand slip into mine. Ryeowook is always there, in silent support, and I remember I am never alone.
