“Hello?” Paula said after picking up her ringing phone a couple days after her…date…with Taecyeon.

“Hey Paula, it’s Ha-eun.”

“Ah, anyeong unnie, eo-teo-kae ji-naessoh?” Hey girl, how are you?

“Good. Listen, JYP wants to speak with you.”

“…What?” Paula said, slipping into her native tongue from shock.

“Are you free tomorrow, say around 1?”

“…Yeah, sure,” she answered, now flustered. “Do you know what it’s about?”

“Nope,” Ha-eun said, “Just that he wants to talk to you about something.”

“…Alright then,” Paula hesitated.

The JYPE receptionist laughed. “Don’t worry so much. You know he’s a good guy.”

“Yeah, through the variety shows I’ve seen him on, he seems swell,” the Canadian scoffed. “I’ve only ever really met him once though. And for like 5 seconds.”

“You’ll be fine,” she reassured the younger woman. “And I’ll be just a scream away if something bad happens.”
