“Hi, I’m Irene.”

Irene then went for a handshake which Wendy gladly returned it.

“It’s you.”

“Yeah, it’s me. Such a coincidence.”

“Erm…” Wendy then looked down at her hand. Irene then looked down too and quickly loosens her hand which was still holding onto Wendy’s.

 “Sorry.” Irene felt embarrassed.

“It’s alright.” As always, Wendy would smile brightly.

“Wait, you guys know each other?”

“Not really, we met yesterday at the café.”

“Oh, so the café that Irene went to was the one that Wendy worked at which means-”

“Can we sit with you guys?” Joy quickly interrupted before Seulgi can finish her sentence.

“Sure!” Seulgi enthusiastically replied.

Joy sat down beside Seulgi, while Wendy was beside Seulgi and Irene was beside Joy.

“Wendy, Irene is really pretty right! Now do you believe that I’m not exaggerating?” Seulgi whispered.

“Ok fine, she is really pretty.” Wendy admitted.

“Unnie, I think your sleep is more important. You can go back now.” Joy teased Irene.

“Shut up and just listened to the lecturer.”

Irene took a quick glance at Wendy who was smiling widely and seems to be texting someone.

“Jealous?” Irene then looked at Joy who was playing with her eyebrows and smirking.

“PARK.SOO.YOUNG.”

“Okay okay I’ll stop.”

“You can continue staring, I will not disturb you.”

Irene couldn’t help it and smacked Joy.

“Ouch! What’s that for!”

Wendy and Seulgi turned over to see what’s the commotion was about.

“Hey, is everything alright?” Seulgi asked.

“Yeah yeah, Irene is just mad that I’m tea-” Irene quickly covered Joy’s mouth to stop her from talking.

“It’s nothing! We are always playing around like this.”

Irene then let go of her hand when Wendy and Seulgi looked away.

“Geez, why are you so tensed.”

Irene then glares at Joy.

After an hour, the lecture ended.

“Do you guys want to join us for lunch later?” Seulgi asked.

“Sure, why not! I’m pretty sure Irene wouldn’t mind either.”

“Okay, we will meet you both during lunch then.”

“See you guys later.” Wendy then said goodbye too.

“See you later.” Irene answered back sweetly.

“Let’s go!” Joy then pulled Irene who was still standing still and looking quite dreamy.

“Sorry to make you guys wait!” Seulgi rushed over to meet the girls for lunch and was trying to catch her breath.

“Why are you alone? Where is Wendy?” Irene asked.

“Oh, she went to meet Mina for lunch. She wants some private time with Wendy.”

“Mina?”

“Oh she is Wendy’s girlfriend.”

“Girlfriend…”

“Unnie, are you okay?” Joy was concerned about Irene.

“I’m fine.”

“Actually I don’t feel hungry. You guys go ahead. Joy, I’ll look for you afterwards.” Irene then walked away from the two of them.

The two went for lunch but Joy was still worried about Irene.

“Seulgi, can you text Wendy to look for Irene? I’m still worried about her.”

“But Wendy is with Mina now.”

“It’s alright then. Sorry if my request seems too over. I’m just worried about Irene.” After seeing how worried Joy is, Seulgi then agreed.

“I’ll just text Wendy then. Don’t be too worried okay.”

“Irene will be at the poolside, she always goes there.”

From Seulgi:

Hey Wendy, can you go find Irene? Joy is worried about her.

From Wendy:

But I’m still having lunch with Mina. I’ll go look for her after that okay.

From Seulgi:

Sorry to bother you. You can find her at the poolside and Irene has not eaten, so grab something for her.

From Wendy:

You are sure trying hard to get into Joy’s good books uh! ;)

From Seulgi:

Shut up. Bye.

“I’ve texted Wendy. She will go find Irene afterwards. You can now eat peacefully right?”

“Thanks Seulgi!” Joy’s expression was brighter now.

On the other hand at Wendy’s side.

“Mina, can you go back to class on your own? I need to help Seulgi with something.”

“You are going off that fast? Whyyyyyyyy.” Mina then started whining as she didn’t want Wendy to leave that early.

“Sorry, it’s only for today. I’ll come home early tonight okay!”

“You promise to come home early?”

“Yes. I promise!” The couple then hooked their pinky fingers and made a pact. Mina then gave Wendy a kiss before letting her go.

Wendy got some food before going to the poolside. When she reached the poolside, she spotted Irene and approached her.

“Hey, Joy is worried about you.”

“Here, I got you some food.”

“W-why are you here? How do you know I’m here?”

“Seulgi told me about it. But I think Seulgi is just conveying Joy’s message for her. So technically it’s Joy who told me about it.”

“Sorry to bother you…”

“You seem unhappy. Are you alright?”

“Is it that obvious?”

“Yeah, I could see it from afar that you are clearly unhappy.”

“Are you happy with your girlfriend?”

“Wait, how did you know about it?”

“Oh Seulgi told us you went for lunch with your girlfriend.”

“I’m feeling really happy being with her.”

“How long have you both been together?”

“We just started and it’s been 15 days!”

“Only 15 days?”

“Yeah, the first time I met her was before school started. I was in school settling my paperwork, and she was lost so I approached her. That’s how we met.”

Irene could only nod but she was not really listening.

“Sorry, did I bore you out?” Wendy was scared that she got carried away and bored Irene out.

“No. Is this your first relationship?”

“Yes! It’s all really new to me.”

“If only we met earlier…” Irene thought.

“Are you working later?”

“Yeah. But how did you know I’m working later?”

“I frequent that café, so I often saw you.”

“Really? I never saw you before until yesterday.”

“You are the barista, so you are normally behind the coffee machine and not facing the customers.”

“Oh yeah true” Wendy then laughed.

“Do you want to go look for Joy now?”

“I’ll stay a little while more, you can go back first. Sorry to bother you.”

“It’s alright I’ll stay here with you.”

“Thank you.” Irene then smiled to Wendy.

“You should always smile. You look more beautiful when you smile.”

“Really?” Irene then smiled even wider.

“I don’t lie. It’s the truth.”

The both then smiled to each other and stayed at the poolside for a little longer before going to find Seulgi and Joy.

“Thanks Wendy for accompanying Irene.” Joy was thankful that Wendy was willing to help her.

“It’s nothing.”

“We shall get to our class now then. Bye!”

“Irene!” Wendy called out. Irene then turned back when she heard Wendy calling her.

“Always smile!” Wendy then smiled brightly and after hearing what Wendy said, Irene smiled too.

Joy and Irene then walked to their class.

“So unnie how was it? Feeling better after being alone with her?”

“I’m a genius after all.” Joy was being really proud of herself.

“Thank you.”

“You got me really worried you know.”

“Sorry.” Then show Joy a sheepish smile.

“Taeyeon unnie, can I leave early today?”

“What is the reason?”

“I promised Mina to go home early today.”

“Sorry, it’s too last minute. I can’t help you this time.”

“It’s alright then, I’ll let her know then…”

“Wendy.”

“Yes unnie?”

“I’m just kidding! You can leave early today! See how upset you got when I said no.” Taeyeon then laughed at Wendy.

“Unnie!!! I was upset that Mina will be disappointed.”

“I was just playing with you. It’s just so fun to tease you!”

After working for a few hours, Wendy was allowed to knock off.

“Bye unnies, I’m going off now.”

“Have fun with Mina!” Tiffany shouted which causes everyone to look over which made Wendy a little embarrassed.

Just when Wendy was about to walk out of the café, she saw someone familiar and went over.

“Irene?”
