***Three hours before the incident ***

 

"Hey Kris, I want that bag." Tao points out a Gucci bag from a store and drags him along.

 

"Seriously Tao? That is you fourth bag today and you still have some of those at home. Why don't we buy some shoes instead?" Kris annoyingly said to the blond vampire who cling his arms across his like a whiny baby.

 

"But that looks good on my new outfit. Come on, I thought you are that rich?" Tao raises an eye brow to him.

 

"I am but I know how to spent my money wisely and you don't so lets just go away from here before you buy the whole Gucci bag there." Kris tugs Tao along but he slip his hand off him and looks pissed by clicking his tongue at him.

 

"Yeah right, but when that Sehun brat asks you to buy him his bubble you just buy it for him without whinnying." He crosses his arms and looks away from him.

 

"Really Tao? Stop whinnying like a kid and that is Kris hyung or Kris ge to you." Kris makes face to the bratty Tao who stick his tongue out. 

 

"But I am still a kid and you should deal with it. If you don't want, I think I'll just have to find Suho hyung or Baekhyun hyung instead." Tao decided to move away from Kris who felt really irritated to Tao's bratty attitude. He is jealous for sure and can't help but to hold the bridge of his nose then lift his hands in the air.

 

"Fine!! You win but this will be the last bag, remember that Taozi, LAST bag!!" Kris moves towards the stall followed by Tao.

 

"Yey! Thanks Yifannie!!" Tao jumps at his back not minding the looks they got from the passerby. 

 

After the stall, Kris decided to go on a sports store and buy some basket ball and hoops while Tao buy some martial arts stuff and leaves. They all have the magical pocket that makes it easy for them to carry or put away their stuffs and they decided to stop in a nearby bubble tea shop. But before they can enter the shop, they saw Sehun and Luhan making their way outside. Tao protests to further go towards the direction but since the two have spotted them already Kris decided to keep still with Tao hissing on the side 

 

"Hey, how's your day?" Kris bows slightly to greet Luhan and Tao near Sehun talking to them casually and ruffles Sehun's hair which giggles at him. Tao felt a twitch forming 

 

"We have a lead, we saw Changmin's co worker just a while ago and he will be glad to tell us something about he knows if we'll protect him." Luhan said sipping through his drink .

 

"I guess that's good if you'll ask me. But seriously Luhan, working while in you day off? I though you said for a day off and bonding time." Kris looks at him and Sehun.

 

"Told you so." Sehun whines while sipping his third bubble tea for the day while Tao irritably click his tongue to him.

 

"Yah! Luhan hyung is a very busy and serious person. You shouldn't disturb him while is at work." Tao nags Sehun that mimics him.

 

"Oh really? Then maybe I should go with you guys instead since I do seems to 'bother' Luhan hyung." Sehun put his usual poker face and chain his arm around Kris. He doesn't even need to look towards to Tao and Luhan because he is too pissed, surely, Kris felt the change of mood Sehun have.

 

"Let's go hyung! I am sure they will do just fine since they are the same race." Sehun pulls Kris away leaving the two man in daze but Tao suddenly pulls Kris tugging Sehun to stop and look back.

 

"WHAT?!?!" Sehun shouts in irritation to Tao who was caught off guard by his sudden outburst. 

 

"What 'what'? Kris already have me so buzz off!" Tao stomp his feet in annoyance.

 

"But you suggest it, so deal with it." Sehun raises his eyebrow to the male and saw Luhan is just standing there, speechless.

 

"Stop it you two! Okay, come with me Sehun we surely need to talk." Kris pulls Sehun away from the two. After a minute or three, Sehun cheerfully went to Luhan and bid goodbye to them, but not after sticking his tongue out to Tao which causes him to hiss.

 

"Stop being jealous and let's get what you want." Kris pats Tao in the back with a smirk and leaves him behind that follows after him in a blink or two.

 

When they are done on their shopping spree, Kris can sense an awkward atmosphere within them and it started to suffocate him so he clear his throat to start a conversation with the irritated panda.

 

"So, where do we head next?" Kris asks but Tao just rill his eyes and scoff to him that makes him to raise an eye brow.

 

"Hey, come on! Why don't you tell me what the heck is going on because I've got no clue why are throwing tantrums over me." Kris manage to pull his wrist and tug him aside where people can less see them.

 

"Ohh.. why don't you let Sehun just disturb you or something." He hissed at him. 

 

"Oh, I see someone is jealous over my 

poker face friend. But wait, aren't we already done through this?" Kris brush his hair and let his other hand test on his hips then tilted his head over Tao.

 

"Yeah right, but don't be so clingy like that especially when I'm near 'coz I might bite him or else you." He warns him with a tint of red in his eyes.

 

"Really? So just like I thought, your acting like a kid again. I'm so done with that and didn't we already agreed on that?" Kris voice was deeper than the usual and it makes Tao flinch a little.

 

"But... I know... I just don't like the idea that Sehun is too clingy for you. He already have Luhan right?" He whispers but still Kris can hear it.

 

"Yeah.. but you know I still like you though and Sehun is like a little brother to me." Kris smiles when he heard the possessiveness of Tao is. He is normally bratty and whiny but sometimes, he fund it cute and specially when the younger even make him his blood bank after many tries and obeying by his rule. 

 

He taps his cheek gently and went to the elevator with Tao. Good thing about the elevator is that it is made up of glass and you can see insights. When Tao and Kris turns to look towards the view, a certain commotion caught their attention and saw D.O, Kai and Bambam surrounded by three people and a familiar witch in the corner. 

 

"Hey, they are in trouble! We got to help them!!" Tao hissed but before Kris could react, a blast from their side makes them off guard then fall out of the elevator. Someone shot them from the side making the elevator on fire and throw the only two person out. 

 

They didn't know what to feel it happy because they are the only one inside the elevator or bad falling from the fourth floor of the mall. 

 

"GRAB MY HAND!!" Kris shouted towards to Tao who oblige and Kris hugs him tight before they fall down to the ground real hard. 

 

"I can't....use my... ability!!" Tao screamed as he hugs Kris closer.

 

"Just close your eyes!!" Kris said and they both widen their senses to feel the impact of the fall but after few minutes, sounds of people panicking and shooting was heard and the fall they await does not happen and decided to open their eyes at the scene that makes them gasp in shock.

 

"Wh..what's happening?? Why are we floating on the ground?!" Tao stutters but tries not to scare the other. "I'm sure it is not my work nor my ability." 

 

"I....i.. don't know... but it felt like my feet is being pushed by the air below." Kris said trying to steady on his feet but caught offbeats when a man with a sword tries to stab them in the side. Luckily, Kris turns to his side and the man just pierce through a cloth which when they look below, that was the cloth being held by Bambam and D.O that triggers the cloth to rip after the blast of fireballs.

 

"D.O!! Bambam!!" Tao shout but the man showers them with swords and they have no choice but to blend in the crowd as they look where their two friends are. But hope seems to be nowhere when a sight of their attacker cane on their view so Kris decided to avoid any battle and drag Tao along without getting caught. Good for them, their pursuer doesn't even followed them.

 

"D.O needs help!" Tao said and smelled the others blood in the air. 

 

"I know.... but we don't have any idea where they are." Kris said as they made it pass the mall and towards the fun park. 

 

"His smell is in the air and it will take time for me to trail it but i will try." Tao start to focus to the smell which is evident by his red eyes flickering. 

 

"Kris!!" Lay's voice was heard suddenly and when they turn, they saw Lay with Suho trailing on the side. 

 

"Something is wrong. I can sense trouble in the air and I can't contact the others as well as the faint smell of D.O that us scattered all around. What happen?" Suho ask. 

 

"There were weird people who've caused commotion inside the mall. They are after D.O at first and we are also shock when they attacked us inside the elevator. After the fall, we didn't know what happen to them. " Kris explains.

 

"Yes and the weirdest thing is, he can fly!!" Tao added making Lay flinch all off a sudden.

 

"What's wrong?" Suho asks to Lay.

 

"This is bad! We got to gather the others before something happens." Lay suddenly becomes nervous and a blast of explosion was heard in the air. 

 

"Chanyeol!" Lay mutters and saw that one of his white beads, well, they were all before, turns to orange then another turns black.

 

"What the....." Kai was suddenly in front of them together with Baekhyun and Chanyeol whose clothes and hands are in flame.

 

"Shoot!" Baekhyun suddenly jerks out of Chanyeol's hold so as Kai while the others look at them with shock expression.

 

"What?!" Chanyeol asks them like he is not on fire and grab his head for the dizziness he felt when they appear in front of the others.

 

"Y...your on fire!!" Tao points towards to Chanyeol who widen his eyes and quickly wipe his body from the fire surrounding himself with a squeak. 

 

As the others are amazed when Chanyeol stop the fire with his hand bit the fire stop at his hands and held it in front of them.

 

"Whooaa... now this... is...really... wierd..." Chanyeol showed to them the flame and his palm isn't even burning at all but the fire stays at his palm not until Suho pour out water to kill the fire with his ability.

 

"Okay! First, Kai suddenly appears out of nowhere, Kris can fly and now Chanyeol is on fire?" Tao exclaim in shock because just like them, they can't believe what they saw and no one dare to explain.

 

"Let's do the explaining later.. but first, we need to gather up everyone before enemies might attack us again." Kris said.

 

"Enem...oh my gosh! Kyungsoo!! He needs help!" Kai said and he felt another rush of adrenaline enters his body but faded suddenly when somebody touch him.

 

"Stay calm! Don't rush towards him!" Lay looks serious and seems a little bit concern towards Kai earning a frown from the other before the ground started to rumble and shake. 

 

"Kyungsoo!!" Baekhyun shouts and this alarms Kai before Lay could grasp his hand again, he make a run from it before he vanish again from the scene with a faint smoke leaving on his trail.

 

"What. Is. Happening!!!!" Tao now shook Lay's body searching for answer but Kris and Suho luckily freed him. 

 

When Lay gains his composure, he saw one of his beads turns black again.

 

"We need to follow him. Long story but he is a shadow walker, half actually. We all are half breeds." Lay said and makes a run but Kris caught him first.

 

"What are you saying?" Kris asks with curious eyes searching answer from his cousin that releases a sight.

 

"I'll explain later, the important thing now is to not let Kai went berserk before his ability awakens again. If it does, the whole place will be engulfed by a large black hole eating the place and the people here." Lay sounds so dead serious so they just nod and find whenever Kai went.

 

"I've caught his scent, this way!" Baekhyun said and they all follow his lead. Along the side of Suho's eyes, he can saw Lay grasp the beads of his bracelet and heard him mutter 'Chen' and 'Sehun' in the background.

After few hours with Kris and Tao encounter, Luhan started to move towards to their destination but still looking over Sehun on the corner of his eyes because the latter still doesn't mutter any words but just stand beside him quietly where they will wait for their intel. It really scares or bother Luhan since he cannot read what is going on with the younger's mind which is very uncommon to him because of his ability. 

 

"Hey!!" Luhan tried to start a conversation but now, the other is busy at his phone with ear phones on so he doesn't attempt another call. Atleast, he 'tried', that is what he is thinking.  

 

There was an awkward silence between them except for Sehun tapping his feet or humming to the sound of his phone and nothing more. Before they headed off to the bubble tea house, he recalls that he shouted at him because of his persistent whinnying over the attention or even a call for food or bubble tea. He also recalls to tell him to shut up and stop acting like a brat because he doesn't want any distraction about his job and many more. He was occupied by the information that a reliable source was there to help them with the case and need to take up measures for not to blew this one up or getting their intel killed again just like Changmin. 

 

He was still not used to the silent but he is also half thankful and half guilty over the situation but doesn't know how to compromise so he just sigh. He was preoccupied with his though that when he turns to his side, he saw their informant already few feet from them so he regain his composure and turns to him with Sehun copying the gesture.

 

"Hi! Sorry I'm late, I've got to go a few errands first before catching up to you guys." The man in a shirt and old jeans was busy looking from side to side and decided to shove a mini envelop to Luhan which he hesitantly took but decided to place it on their magic pocket.

 

"That's okay, we understand and sorry for disturbing you in your job, ----" Luhan pause for a minute and recall his name. " 

 

"Just call me U-know...Those are the few things that Changmin left but nothing more." U-know handed another box to him. "I was really scared because he is not working anymore so I got worried and even more when I heard someone always by the window of our store. It really creeps me out like hell." He shrug.

 

"Hey, is that Yongguk hyung?" Sehun stated making the two shifted their attention to the man coming towards them with Himchan and Daehyun.

Luhan felt another presence so he instantly turn and shove U-know from his side as he felt a piercing pain on his shoulder up to right left arm. He then shove them away from the attacker by lifting them backwards with his ability to Yongguk's place. 

 

"Tch... I should have place a lot more pressure to that attack." A chubby, bulky man with shaved hair on the side along with his red hair pony at the back retorted. He swing his big sickle on his shoulder like a death reaper.

 

"Your loosing your touch Dongie..." A bright blondie man with another bulky appearance was spotted near the first enemy.

 

"Really, I totally need some work out now, ne? How about we play some more before we kill them?" The red hair guy said.

 

"Like we would let you!!!" Sehun growls as he summon his weapon tompass. He was now pisses because Luhan got injured and now is being treated by Daehyun at the back. 

 

"Easy there, we still don't know if you are the one we are looking for. Say, are you perhaps the 'Fae' we are looking for?" The blondie looks at Sehun like a fresh meat before a course.

 

From the word Fae, they all know that they are looking for D.O which alarms them, especially Luhan who flinch. That is the only time that he felt something was wrong so he tried to contact them telepathically but Baekhyun was the only one he have contact with but before he can say something, the communication was cut by an attack made by the enemy. Good thing Yongguk interferes when he saw that the man was lunging towards to Sehun by blocking the sickle with his sword but an attack from the other pushes him aside and grabs Sehun which Himchan flick his staff out of nowhere and assault the bulky man. When the man step back, a faint scratch was evident on Sehun's cheek making him touch his face to assess the damage.

 

"How dare you!!" Sehun shouted at them and points the tompass to them making it blasts a circling air towards them. However, the man with a sickle simply cut it into two and they look at them again. 

 

"Hmmm.... definitely not the Fae we are looking for but not a bad blood either. Guess it was not our luck, let's just leave Shindong before the others will make it first to our prey." The blondie gesture Shindong to leave but a chain suddenly appear linking the tall blondie man that makes him raised an eye brow.

 

"Like we are going to let you do that after hurting my crew." Yongguk's felt annoyed and flash his red eyes to them gesturing Himcham to keep them bounded and looks towards to Daehyun and the others.

 

"You guys need to go towards your group, we will be dealing with this two cocky guys. Daehyun, our client to safety." He orders. 

 

The bulky man scoff.

 

"Like you are in charge of here." The man grab the chain on his arms and it was quickly ripped apart while the man change his form into a full grown beast, wolf that is big as a bear. The ripped clothes is still evident on the floor. 

 

"Whoaaww!!" U know was taken back by the transformation in front of him.

 

Luhan starts to drag Sehun towards the park where he last sense Baekhyun when the wolf moves towards them with incredible speed that caught them off guard. Luckily, Bang had materialize his sword preventing the beast from attacking further. 

 

"GO!!" Their boss last said and they make a run for it just like what they are stated. When they are in the park, people are now looking as Luhan held his injured arms. He somehow manage to stop the blood from leaving his body more by pressure and a lot of his ability. That is when the power of the park has been cut off making all turn in wonder but Luhan caught something in his eyes for a while dragging Sehun near to the center of the theme park. There was suddenly a large commotion and people are now screaming, some are running from the scene where a familiar man was lying unconscious near the power supply and his body is being surrounded by sparks of lightning. Then he saw Xiumin nearby who didn't know what to do. Then it hit him who is the familiar man.

 

"Chen hyung!!!" Sehun shouted then runs towards Chen were dangerous live wires are and also high voltage of electricity is escaping. 

 

"NO SEHUN!!!" out of instinct, he move hiss uninjured arm towards him that caught Sehun lifting him slightly from the ground before he could injured himself more.

 

"Let go!! Chen hyung needs help!!" Sehun is now struggling from his spot although he is lifted with much concern, sweaty and pale face.

 

"Luhan! S..save Chen... p..please!!" Xiumin said as he comes near him. 

 

With a slight nod, he then focuses and furrows his eyes with eyes getting little for enough focus, the two guys are now felt relieved when the unmoving body of Chen was lifted from the power supply and next to their position.

 

"Don't come yet!" Luhan announces when there are still fuses or small sparks of lightning flashing from his body and they lay near them. 

 

"Hahahaha... such a weakling. You guys are no fun. You sure you have a Fae near your group? It seems that the Fae has the weak and wrong choice of group. Tsk..tsk.. too bad you'll not gonna see him hanging around you guys when we held him captive." The man in a black suite like a magician said. He even hold his hat like mocking them with his baston circling around the air freely. 

 

"How dare you do that to my mate!!" Xiumin's eyes turns blue with tint of red as he throws icicles to the man which he easily dodge by few somersault and a back flip to the nearest carousel ride.

 

Sehun can't help but to touch Chen even he felt a little shock on the contact because of the electricity flowing is body. He gave up anyways after few attempts since the man shows no sign of movement, nor life so he cries silently with fist on the ground. Then the shaking of the ground came.

 

Luhan throw a glare towards the enemy that materializes fire ball while circling his baston. 

 

"But I do dare, so as to your friends over there!!" The man shoots the fireball towards one of the stalls of the unmoving ferris wheel. Luhan's eyes widen and the word 'Baekhyun' escape at his mouth. 

 

"What did we ever done to you!!" Sehun is now fighting back the tears he was holding his grip on his tompass tighten until Luhan can saw his knuckles turned almost white as well as Xiumin's vision is now clouded with anger and pure killing instinct.

 

"Perfect!!" The man smirks to himself. "Now we can play, together." Another man enters into the scene and he starts to move his fingers together and out of the blue, Xiumin's body and Sehun's started to move towards to Luhan. 

 

"What the!?!? What are you doing?!" Luhan struggles to dodge the attack from Xiumin's icicles while dodging from Sehun's close combat fight. He now can reaf through their mind that on their eyes, he was the enemy with black suite. 

Sehun is now lifting from the ground a a gush of mini air whirlwinds are headed towards his direction created by the tompass. The whirlwinds sway fast as icicles starts to fuse with it. Luhan is now struggling for his life pushing the twin winds by the use of his telepathic power, plus with injured arm and shoulders, he can't help but to groan and scream from pain as the injury and some of the icicles are scratching his arms and face.

 

"Now this is some show right Kyu?" The other said. 

 

"Blame your Fae friend for bringing trouble towards your group and also your weak abilities making you a victim of your own 'so called friends'. The armies will be surely bragging to bring you guys down." the guy in magician attire said and waits them to kill each other. 

 

They were too busy to look towards the show not minding the group of skies making it's way in their spot.

 

"This us not good! Wake up you two!!" Luhan shouts mentally making them slightly snap from being controlled and then the whirlwind stops. Luhan drops slowly to his knees and thanking his mental screaming or shouting always do the job for him. 

 

"You should have seen your faces!! Hahaha!!" The two enemies laughs and snickers filed the air and the tension really increases. If Luhan just have the upper hand on this fight, they should have win by now but it looks like there is a charm caster on them making them turn against each other.

 

"Now, sad to say goodbye but I guess we need to end it here." The man let his baston raise to the air and suddenly, there was a huge circle above them that shoots many fireballs at the same time. 

 

"Shoot!!" Luhan exclaim.

 

"We need to do something!" Xiumin mutters before Sehun can cling towards Luhan hugging his uninjured arm saying prayers to himself.

Kai appears exactly where Kyungsoo was suppose to be with. But instead of the cute fae, he saw nothing but his torn jacket along with the fallen tent. He held the jacket near his chest with evident fear of what have happened to the others and think where Bambam was. 

 

He is too preoccupied by his thought to notice his surroundings that is when he heard a laugh behind.

 

When made a turn, he was surprise to see D.O held by an unfamiliar group of people. And the thought of they are also the enemies makes his blood boiled and he warns them before he let his dagger out.

 

"YOU STAY AWAY FROM KYUNGSOO!!!" He shouted with veins starts to be evident in his neck and temple and he was consumed by the anger he have after he lunge forward breaking the hell loose.

 

"Now where did that guy came from?" Eunhyuk said and Donghae turns to see the attacking Kai but before he get closer to them, the atmosphere suddenly becomes heavy as he lessen his speed and feet becomes heavy by the moment and he also drops to the ground. He felt a surge of inferiority towards the tall guy and eyed him on the floor like the guy is all his energy up. 

 

"Know your place, filthy human." The man said in rich voice making him looks at him painfully. He saw Kyungsoo's display on his shoulder like a prize held on a hunt that irritates him more but he can't help but to felt weak and angered against the man in front of him. 

 

"K...kyung...soo.... hyung.." Kai tries to call his hyung but his face was buried to the ground when a foot dig his hell more on to the back of his head trying to smash his head to the ground. He can't help but to shut his eyes close and ready himself to anything to come.

 

"This is the part where you will say goodbye." The rich dark voice echoes to his head and he waits for his fate but it never came but instead, it was replace by aloud growl. He suddenly felt the heavy feeling was lifted from him and heard a familiar voice lifting him up.

 

"You okay kiddo?" A red hair man with fierce eyes, flashy smirk and dimples greeted him.

 

"Rapmon hyung?!" He suddenly went confused.

*sigh* I tried.... *sob* sob* I was getting second thoughts of this but good thing I have... I'll start writing the next chapter and hopefully update this week... bye bye for now... :3
