"Some of the old folks that we have talked to said that the mine has a curse. Some people that enters it will sometimes vanish or if they are lucky, they will male it out alive but they all have few screws loose claiming they saw mythical creatures or saw something that makes them loose their minds." Kai and Tao informs their group about their gathered information.

 

"Mythical creature is that something too do with the ogres?" Chen asks. 

 

"Maybe yes, maybe no. It's already 2 am, let's start the sleuthing job in the morning and get a hotel or inn here." Luhan orders. 

 

The travel by vehicle takes more than 7 hours since they have no other means of travelling except by car because the mine is very isolated and near the sea. Luckily, the group found a comfortable inn near the shore where they can rest. After the sharing of bed is assigned, some of them are now headed towards the dreamland. Well, did I tell you some of them??

 

Luhan releases a long sigh which he doesn't even know he has been holding. He is seating outside the veranda and enjoying the view of the sea and night with his red eyes flashing in the dark. 

 

"Yo! Want to take a sip?" Xiumin asks Luhan to take a sip of their daily supply of blood with Suho on his side. Tao is already asleep with Kris because of the deal for a week and it is surprising that Kris can handle Tao's mood swing very well like Luhan and now, even Tao never admit it, the two had been really close like brothers since they both knew how to speak the same language, Chinese.

 

"Thanks. I feel very awful today. I think.

.. I think after this mission I need a rest." Luhan massage the bridge of his nose while closing his eyes.

 

"Easy there. That is only normal 'coz you don't enjoy our day off instead you just went up gathering info about the lose group." Suho pats his back in assurance.

 

"Yeah. It's been a tough week to you. And to think that our intel went missing, it builds up to your stress and also ... the thing about D.O." Xiumin hesitate for the last word and looks towards to Luhan.

 

"Yeah.. I've been a bad leader. How come I didn't know that information even he is with us all the time. I am really such naive and I even shouted at him. Even Baek is mad at me now." The brunette takes a sip and sit down at the railing of the veranda.

 

"Calm down. We insist many limiter to D.O than us and the mere fact that he is opening up to us makes it a good sign that he is trusting us alone. You also said that we shouldn't rush him up that is why you don't invade his personal space." Suho tries to comfort the brunette.

 

"And also, they also knew that you are just in stress. They can understand you, I guess." Xiumin seconded. 

 

"Thanks. I really hope so. I will apologize to them as soon as we head back to them. But knowing Baekhyun and D.O, I can sense we will meet them soon enough. Get some rest." Luhan said.

"Uhmmm... are you sure about this? I thought we need to follow them. How come we are headed towards the woods and be on this forest?" Sehun asks.

 

"Shhh.. trust me, it's easier this way." Baekhyun assures with a smile making them confused.

 

"Stay there." D.O announces and they all stop in their tracks. "Hold this for me hyung." D.O asks Baekhyun as he handed his for rings and a metal ring on his earlobe then he stand aside near a big tree. 

 

He is now illuminated by the moon and they saw D.O's body glow and the bruises on his arms heals leaving his natural pale milky skin. The three are now mesmerized by the scene and they notice his hair becomes red and he now have a pointy ears and have a glimpse of red eyes. 

 

The tree he is holding for support is now moving it's branches and it releases a green aura all over the place illuminating the forest.

 

"Wow!! Do you have any popcorn!" Chanyeol asks.

 

"Are we watching a movie or something?" Lay asks.

 

"So that is a Fae. Cool!!" Sehun shriek and he hugs Baekhyun that is caught offguard. 

 

"Is he really that cool?!?" The maknae asks.

 

"Actually, it is my second time seeing his form but even I saw him use his power, he never fails to amuse me." Baekhyun just look towards to his brother.

 

Just then, the light stops and they can still saw D.O in Fae form closely walking towards to them. They are overwhelm by the aura he is releasing resisting the urge to back away but he changes to human form again when he saw hesitation on their eyes.

 

"What now?" Baek asks.

 

"We will wait. It is not long until our ride comes." D.O explains as he took back his limiter from his brother.

 

"Are you not going to put that back?" Chanyeol asks.

 

"Not yet until our ride comes. And also prepare 'coz someone might attack us because of the light." D.O informs them ad they heard bushes starts to rustle. The hunters and vampires starts to take in a defensive stunt when they saw horses came out of the bush. 

 

"That was fast. Come on." D.O urges them to follow him towards the horse but to their surprise, it is not just an ordinary horse. It was a horse with wings. A pegasus. Then another came, and another, soon there were enough pegasi for each one of the. as they rode it. 

 

After putting back some of his limiters, since he need to be in his Fae form to order the pegasi, they are now ready to fly towards to the others until Lay asks a question.

 

"Do you have any unicorn perhaps?" Lay asks showing his dimples and making the others laugh at him.

 

"Let me help you!" Chanyeol assist D.O to the pegasus and the latter bows politely. 

 

He then offer Baekhyun which he gladly took and assist him by the waist and pushes him upward the horse. He bow towards him and he saw him smile slightly before he looks in front.

 

"It's my first ride to a pegasus!" Lay excitedly exclaim as he ride the pegasus excitedly. Good for him the pegasus doesn't feel threatened and fly ahead.

 

"Well, join the club. Let's fly."Baekhyun announces.

After the morning came, the group decided to enter the mines with much of Luhan's strategies. 

 

"Hey. We just need to sleuth around here right and find some mermaid or clues then go outside. We is the trouble in there?" Kai dumbly asks. 

 

"We still need to be ready just in case. Let's go." Xiumin state and they follow Xiumin's lead.

 

Much to their surprise, there are group of bones, human bones there and they saw some Ogres on the way and fight them. The vampires easily kills them and assist the hunters while they kill some. They are now headed towards the inner part when they saw a beautiful glowing gems at the wall of the mines. The now saw a tunnel that make its way towards inner portion of the cave and decided to take the path and seeing no cart to ride, they just walk and walk towards the path. 

 

While walking on the path, they can all see the glowing thing that enlightens them until they can here tiny voices.

 

"Is..is that glow worms?" Kai asks and try to touch the glowing things before Suho can restrict him causing the glowing things flash brightly and they close their eyes. When they have adjusted to the light, the place still looks normal but something was off to Luhan's hunch. It was clarify when Kris started to speak.

 

"Hey, is..is that a dragon?!?!?" Kris asks as they look towards his pointing finger's direction. They all tilted their head in the direction.

 

"N..nothing is there hyung." Kai started to speak.

 

"No. I was sure there was a dragon there." Kris starts walking in that direction when Luhan grabs his arm.

 

"There is nothing there Kris. Let's just continue. The path here is crossed so we better think first which path we will took." Luhan carefully stated.

 

"No. I saw what I saw. Look there is another one there!" Kris insist as he tries to struggle and points to the other path.

 

"Hey! Stop that. Wait! It's not a dragon.... it's a beautiful lady waving at me! Wow, hey gorgeous!" Kai started to flirt along the empty tunnel in Luhan's point of view while he flips his hair back and wink.

 

"Are you insane? Hold him for me Suho... wait Xiumin where are you going?!?!" Luhan shouted at Xiumin.

 

"No it can't be. That is mom..." Xiumin mutters only for Chen to hear it.

 

"What?! I didn't even see anything? Wait up!!" Chen suddenly runs towards Xiumin that moves faster than normal human can take. 

 

Before Luhan can call him back, Chen assures him to keep Xiumin check and notice that Kris is held by Tao who is squirming like a child from his grasp and Suho is now following the dashing Kai on the other direction together with Luhan when the door suddenly close leaving Kris and Tao on the branched path. 

 

"Just, just go on to the other path. I think these tunnels are headed of somewhere and meet at a certain point. Just remember to keep in touch." Luhan orders and Tao decided to follow his orders. 

 

"Just focus. I think the hallucinations are the effect of the light. Don't think too much, just be focus." Luhan finally said before they turn away so as Tao.

 

"Guess I am stuck with you again." Tao sighs and he drags Kris towards another direction. 

 

"Hey!! There is the dragon! Come here you beauti...ooffff!!!" Kris scream down when the floor cracks and before he knew it, he is falling down, way down letting some piles of wood and some nails hits his body from the fall.

 

"!!" Tao suddenly jumps towards the open hole and tries to gran Kris but the man is falling very fast and he luckily grabs Kris by his torso and lands perfectly with one foot allowing Kris body to rest and his knee for support as he hugs the man that winced at the contact if his spine to Tao's knee. 

 

"Sss... ouch you panda. You should be more careful you know." Kris hissed in pain. 

 

"So grumpy as ever. You should thank me I save you life so deal with it." Tao yanks Kris off him by rolling him aside when it struck him. The smell of blood, not his but Kris. There was stick struck on his right leg prevents him to stand up so he just sit there and tries to hold his injured thigh. 

 

"Yeah right. So much for the concern." Kris sarcastically said as he tried to pry off the wood on his thigh.

 

"No, Let me." Tao swats his hand and he carefully pull out the wood then toss it aside. 

 

He suddenly stiffen at the smell of blood. He is mentally debating himself whether to cover it or attack his upper leg because he couldn't deny smell and look of the wounded flesh very alluring to him. However, Kris doesn't understand what Tao is dealing with and he put some bandana over his wound and tightly secures it tightly to stop the bleeding but with Tao's instinct, he grabs the leg a little bit higher to stop the bleeding. Or what he had thought. He was amazed to see Tao's calm red eyes looking at his leg and then it struck him when Tao's grip becomes tighter and sunk his fangs into his legs and he yells in pain.

 

"S..Stop it panda!! What are you doing?!' Kris is thrashing his feet and punches Tao to be on his senses when the feeling off pain and the draining was felt but it was replace by a sudden warm and wet feeling urging him to bite his lips bit he was surprise to see Tao is and his injury. Before he can fully enjoy it, much to his protest, Tao releases his legs and wipes his mouth. Kris is thankful it is somehow dark because he can feel his face heated up with a little arch .

 

"W...what in the hell was that?!?!?" Kris freaked out harshly panting from sweat and embarrassment because of the younger's action.

 

"I.. It's for the wound to stop the bleeding. I clean it so you blood would not mess with the air and attract unwanted attention. However, we just have to treat it once we go back to the dorm." Tao looks away from him finding another way out. Luckily he spotted one and stands up.

 

"Oh...T..Thanks I guess." Kris shyly said and groans.

 

"No problem. Can you walk?" Tao stretches a hand over him which hr gladly took but he falls forward just enough for Tao to hold him up.

 

"Guess not. Let me assist you, I just hope we are heading the same direction as the others." Tao shakily put the other's hand over his shoulder and his other hand towards his waist. They are now limping slowly towards the dark pathway while Tao scolds himself mentally.

 

'Ugghhh.. i shouldn't have done that. What am I just thinking! I just his blood off' He screams on his head

 

'Good thing I have stop the bleeding. I should be careful next time. Damn, his blood seems to be tasty, i should control my urges.' He mentally notes then a small shadow suddenly make its way towards to them and before they knew it, they are knock down the floor with little slithering and wiggling thing snuggle towards him and Kris.

 

"Look! I didn't hallucinate things! In fact, I am correct." Kris laughs when the baby dragon is snuggling towards him and Tao. Tao cannot believe it also so he just hung his mouth open and blinks in amusement.

"Xiumin... where are you. Oh man, I can't believe I'm watching over a vampire." Chen groans while he search the place. 

 

"I just hope there are no dangerous thing in here...." 

 

Then he felt a drop over his shoulders as he moves around seeing none, he made his gaze on the roof and sigh when he felt it was just the water. He shook his head while smiling. 

 

'Paranoia' he thought then he saw Xiumin standing along a weird end of the tunnel with his gaze on the wall. He was cheerfully coming next to the vampire when a something got on his feet. It looks like he step on something. then he looks toward to Xuimin and he was shock that the wall suddenly becomes a big flower with carnivorous teeth and long vines ready to eat the coming vampire. 

 

"Xiumin hyung!! No... don't go over there!" Chen was running towards that direction when some of the flowers with similar structure, but they are smaller than the other one moves in front of him blocking the path and releases some goo thing on him. He dodges some but some got his clothes and it burns easily so he get his blazer of. 

 

"Acid! What the hell!! Why do I always attract badluck?!?!" Chen shouted and look towards to Xiumin which is an few meter away from the plant's grasps. He quickly materialize his weapon and it becomes a whip.

 

"Whoaw, I should have listen to my practices." He said.

 

He swing his whip over the flower block which stumbles and falls that make him a run towards the vampire but many vines caught him and tosses him into the air. Still, Chen got his whip but he can't swing it around freely because of some of the vines got his wrist and the smaller plants are wiggling like he was a feast. 

 

Chen becomes irritated when the grip tightens and Xiumin is about an inch. It looks like Xiumin is mesmerized by the flower so he tried calling him again.

 

" Hey Xiumin!!! Look over here and stop walking!!!" No use, he needs another strategy.

 

"Look!! More Baozi's and D.O is eating all of it now!!"" He desperately calls.

 

"Ahhhh.... not so tight you stupid plants!! Chen cursed and his grip on his whip tighten then it releases a spark like light causing some of the plants to get shock.

 

"Lightning! Cool!" Then he saw the vampire is now held by the vines and the center of the flower is now opening its teeth for the meal.

 

"YAh!!!WAKE UP YOU STUPID HAMSTER LIKE FATSO OR I WILL EAT ALL OF YOUR FOOD HERE!!!" He desperately shouted while he swing his now free hand to some of the whip.

 

Xiumin them felt a thread snap on his thoughts and was shock when a large teeth is just in front of him. Good for him, his other hand is free and he frost the flower for good and it shriek before it got frozen.

 

He hears a voice and looks towards hid left and saw Chen is drops to the dirty floor and some of the plants whip him down before he can do it another way around. Xiumin helps the troll by freezing them all and helps him to stand up with an aching body.

 

"Now that is what I call a 'Frozen Flower'. Get it?" Chen jokes around and get his whip but not by the handle so he got shock by the spark it emitted causing him to fall down again and the vampire laughs.

 

"Damn. I should really know how to use this." The whip materialize to a key chain again as he looks to the vampire. "Good thing you are yourself again." he said.

 

"Y..yeah. It must be the stone. I think that was hallucinating stones. It can give you a view on what you want, you desire or you hide. I guess I was trick by that and nearly got eaten by a plant." Xiumin shrugs and he saw another tunnel and gestures the other to follow him.

 

"Hey, I just try to save your life!" Chen pouts.

 

"Yeah, and I also save your life so we can call it quits?" Xiumin chuckles.

 

"I....i.... never mind. You're the logical one here." Chen groans and he move pass through Xiumin which furrow his brow in confusion.

 

"Huh? Hey, did I do something wrong?" Xiumin moves towards him.

 

"Nothing. Let's just find the others." Chen grumpily said while touching his aching back.

 

"You look like a gramps." Xiumin teases him making the man stop on his track.

 

"WHAT!?!?!?" He shouted.

"Where is that stupid human? Oh, we will be in trouble if he got into trouble. He is our employees son after all." Suho grumpily asks.

 

"I guess we need to find out where he went. Is there anything that amazes you other than money?" Luhan asks.

 

"For now, except for Kyungsoo, hmmm... none. You guys knew me very well." Suho chuckles.

 

"I don't even know where you put all that money." Luhan said.

 

"It's for my future reference I guess." He smirks playfully. "So far what do you think about the hunters?"

 

"Good so far. Except for that Sehun and Kai guy. They are both playful, childish and clingy." 

 

"That's normal for the boys at that age. I think that Sehun guy just like you." Suho wiggles his eyebrow.

 

"Huh.. not a funny comment. He is always there to bug me. Do I look like easy to tease for him?!" he shalle his head unbelievably.

 

"Well, I think he just simple idolize or adorns you? Give the child a chance. From what I've hears he is a solo child, maybe he saw a brother figure on you."

 

"Guess I'll try. But no assurance especiallt when Kai flirt with D.O. I also know Baekhyun sense it. He looks like a playboy."

 

"Geez, you sounded like his father!Hahahha!" Suho laughs loudly to Luhan who just pouted. To see the childish side of him makes him laugh.

 

Once they enter the deeper cave, they saw a place full with gems and gold bar. They both blink and rub their eyes to see if that is just an illusion but seeing the gems and gold doesn't went away, they presume that is real. 

 

"Wow... I can live on this place!!" Suho excitedly said and reach to grab some gold and gems.

 

"It is a mine and for sure they hit the correct spot but why didn't they get them?" Luhan asks. 

 

When Suho grabs a full of gem and gold on his pocket, the ground shake and some of the rocks from the floor starts to fall revealing a five feet two brown dragons staring through them. They are both frozen on the spot when a blast of red fire heads towards them and they luckily dodge it.

 

"A dragon? What the hell!! I though they are extinct!" Luhan said.

 

"Yeah! Not anymore." When the dragon throws another flame thrower, Suho decided to put a water barrier but it didn't last long because it easily evaporates. Good thing Luhan created a barrier with his telephatic ability saving them both. Then, they felt a huge dark aura coming near them and the dragon also felt it making them look towards the entrance. Once they know the attention of the dragon is not focus on them, they decided to sneak out from the danger and they run towards another exit. Before they went away, they can hear the loud screeching of the two dragons indicating they are battling over something and smell the dragon's blood. Then, another rumbling and shaking of the earth comes and they felt a surge of power resembles to a specific person. 

 

"D.O!!" They both exclaim.

"Stop it!! They are not real. It's over now."

 

 Baekhyun start to pat his brother's back. They have arrive to the mine and they went to the upper portion of the mine to their surprise was full of hallucinating stone. D.O and Baekhyun sense it and the younger have felt the effect and saw some dreadful scene of his past. Luckily, before he is consumed by the stones, he decided to crash every stone with his powers without ruining the place. 

 

"S..sorry. I think I've just carried away." D.O huffs and tries to steady his breath while Baekhyun put his limiter ring to his brother. 

 

"No worries. Now let's find the others." Chanyeol pats them and lead the way. 

 

"Now, where the heck are they?" Sehun hums. 

 

"They are way down of us. Much better if we can go down and try to collect them one by one." Baekhyun suggests.

 

"Good point. How can we do that?" Lay asks. 

 

"Easy, we just need to fall down." D.O exclaims.

 

"Excuse me?!" The hunters said in unison before they grab onto each others and felt they are really falling down.
