Leaving
At Time's Like These (I'm Glad I Have You.)“Tell me why you're leaving for a week again?” Junhong muttered, staring down at his hands. He heard Yongguk sigh lowly, the other was irritated by his constant questioning, probably.
“My dad needs me to help him out in Japan, but it's only a week and Himchan said he'll come over every day.”
“...”
“Listen, Junhong.” Yongguk said softly, reaching over to tip the boy's chin up. He hated leaving Junhong like this, alone. But he had to. Mrs. Choi was gone for a month due to business, and Yongguk had been the only companion Junhong had in this house. Now he was leaving for an entire week. He had begged his father not to make him go, but really. He couldn't say no to the man paying his collage tuition.
“I'll be back before you know it, okay? I'll call every night, and you'll be fine.”
Junhong nodded a bit, and tried not to blush at how close his hyung was to his face. His heart sped up against his will and he his suddenly dry lips.
“Alright, hyung.”
“Good.”
Yongguk moved back, and raised his hand from the boy's chin to his hair, and ran his fingers through the soft strands.
Junhong closed his eyes.
He loved his hyung, loved how he was so gentle and kind and – just Yongguk. He'd miss the other yes but.
Doesn't absence make the heart grow fonder?
