Ms. Cho smiled at the class. In response, the class moaned.
"Pair up with your partner and finish the project on environment by next tuesday! Do your best okie?" She ginned again.

Some students started grumbling while others began to start work as soon as possible, probably trying to get rid of the burden quickly.

Joyce looked at Sylvester with her innocent big eyes. She was unsure of what Sylvester would do.
Sylvester shot back a cold glare.

"No." He was reading Joyce's mind.

Joyce was about to surrender and accept the fact that Sylvester would not participate in the project work at all. Until a warm voice was heard.

"Nah nah nah... Sylvester. I want you to participate fully in this project work. This is something that requires teamwork. That's my main aim. I won't want to see Joyce doing all the stuff by herself. If that's the case, both of you would get zero alright?" She stated.

Sylvester sighed out loud and nodded very reluctantly. Besides the principal, Ms. Cho was the only person who could read his mind and even make him change his mind.

Joyce's hopes rose and she looked up at Sylvester again. Sylvester had no choice.

"Fine. I can only spare one day."

"Umm..."

"Tomorrow. After school."

Joyce could only agree.

During recess, the three friends sat together to chat.

"So Joyce, how's your day with Long-ge?" Hui Ting went.

Joyce remained silent. She recalled Sylvester's helpless face earlier. It was weird. She found it cute somehow.

"I bet he refused to do the project." Joanne commented.

Joyce shook her head.

"Ms. Cho made him do the project with me."

The two of them [Joanne and Hui Ting] made an 'o' with their mouth.
