Themes: slight angst, romance
first impression: [ 7 / 10 ] my opinion at the first sight, is so-so. not really love it or hate it, because i've seen many posters with this look. hm, and the typography, it looks odd and a bit weird. but what makes me impressed is your neatness and the feelings. the feelings you gave to the poster is really there. saddy romance, but not too sad. goodjob!♡
themes: [ 15 / 15 ] everything you put on the poster matched perfectly with the themes. the way you put the characters and the colorings make the poster looks so romantic, bit classy, and the slight sad feelings is there too! goodjob!♡
coloring: [ 16 / 20 ] actually, the colors you've chosen are good already. vintage brown with yellow touch is a perfect color for romance poster. however, you need to note some things. the colors you used or the psd you used is too bright and make the characters' face too pale. i recommend you to change the exposure (image->adjustments->exposure). move the 'gamma correction' pointer to the right side and the 'offset' bit to the left. you also could make the 'exposure' bit lower, but if you won't it's okay though. the pictures will be more clear and not so bright. other thing you need to note is, the girl's face has a bigger contrast than chen's face, it's not really noticable, but somehow it annoyed my eyes. you can balance this thing using the same steps like i've told you above. just play with the pointer after their face have a same contrast and brightness so the poster will be more real.
technique: [ 23 / 25 ] your technique is basically good. you're just not thorough at blending and cutting. if you're more thorough your blending and cutting skill would be awesome! i've found some correction, look at this picture:
(focus at the red circles) the little circle on the top, the fog texture is obviously covered chen's head. you need to erase it, because in my eyes the fog things really makes the poster unclear. the smaller circle on the bottom shows a not-cut part. it's unseen, almost unseen, i know. but i think, you need to know this, so in the future you won't do the same fault twice:)
another thing came into the edge side of the girl's hair. i don't know, but it looks like the hair and the background a bit having a color-clash or something? same tips like i've told you before, exposure. hehe.
resources: [ 7 / 10 ] the background texture you used is a so-so, not really makes the poster interesting but not makes the poster so plain. maybe, you should modify some textures into one place, and use different kind of textures, it will make your background a bit alive. and next, the fog texture. like i've said before the texture is way having too much space in the poster and it covered chen's head. what you need to do is move the texture. look at the blue circle, i recommend you to place the texture there.
typography: [ 9 / 15 ] your font choices is good, but the placement is a big no, i'm so sorry. the 'kiss' word covered the 'last' word, makes the poster looked not neat. plus, the "iss" is way too weird to be there. and you placed the quotes very near with the title which is make the whole typography is so full in one place. first, the title placement. it would be better if the word "kiss" moved under the "last" word. and the "i" in kiss, move it a bit to the right, so the "iss" placement is more neat and tight. about the quotes, it would be better if you place it on the right and top ( on the plain space on the top of the girl's head ), the quotes will surely looks more dramatic there.
bonus: [ 3 / 5 ] love your work overall, but you should be more creative and your font placement is what you should focus on :)
total points: 80/100 - adorable♡
