Taeil is panicking, trying to explain his problem to Jiho and apologize and try to figure out a solution all at the same time, but his voice is strained and barely louder than a whisper and it hurts. They’re supposed to be on stage in front of … he doesn’t even want to think about how many people, and other idols, and camera crews, and his body has decided that this is just the perfect time for his vocal chords to lose all function, and he feels like he’s about to cry with frustration and worry.

And then Jiho wraps his arms around him and pats him on the back and tries to calm him down, offering to make him some honey tea and telling him he should rest and that, if all else fails, it wouldn’t be that big of a deal if he had to lipsync (and Taeil knows how Jiho feels about lipsyncing, but there’s no annoyance in his voice when he says it, just concern).
