Losing You
Just BFFsJessica's POV
'Hey!' as I felt a pairs of arms wrapped around my waist. My face shifted uncomfortably as I removed the hands away from my waist .
'What's wrong?' Kira's face scrunched up in confusion as she took a seat opposite me.
'We're in the public, people will think weirdly if you hug me like that.' I stated and she just stared at me as if I grew another head or so she opened to say something but closed it again. Disappointment was clear in her eyes but she shifted her gaze to the menu.
'So what have you been up to lately?' Kira asked as her eyes were still fixed on the menu.
'Nothing much just hanging up with some friends and you know stuff.' She closed the menu and looked up.
'I'm going to get the Steak Burger with mushroom sauce and a lychee tease please, what about you Jessie?'
'Strawberry cheese cake and water please.' She shot me a strange look as I said my orders. Once the waiter left, Kira started to talk again,
'When did you change to like strawberry cheesecake? You've always hated it before.' She stated as she narrowed her eyes . ' Does Mr Mr like it too?' She asked in a teasing manner.
I scoffed and rolled my eyes ' No, stop trying to poke your nose into other people business. It's kind of annoying.'
The food arrived and we ate in silently, instead of catching up which was the plan today we both had a few small talks about uni and that was it. Something was missing or something had changed but I could not tell what.
A smile spread across my face as I saw a text from Tyler, he had wanted to meet me up to watch 'The Fault in Our Stars'.
'Where do you want to head to next?' Kira had asked as my smile has quickly disappeared.
'Uhm sorry but I think I have to go home now. Krystal is urging me to come back.' Kira nodded her head.
'Ok I'll drive you home.'

The car ride was quiet, we didn't talk and let the music filled the emptiness beside us. I didn't even realised that we were already at my house until Kira broke my train of thoughts.
'We're here' She stated her voice was cold and distant as she focused her eyes forward.
