Hei Ryung is still checking folder to folder while taking a sip on her coffee. “Thank you but what really is your business here Miss Hwang?” she asked again. The said intention does not convince her. They never had a good sensual conversation and they aren’t friends as well.

“…”

The silence made her look up from what she is doing. “Miss Hwang?”

“T-to form future.”

She raised her brows.

“I’m here to help form future.”

Hei Ryung finally understood the meaning. She carefully placed the folders back to its place. “You really are not giving up, aren’t you?”

She nodded. “You got it right.”

“Sigh…I thought I already made myself clear Miss Hwang…There’s no way I’ll agree.”

“B-but Ryung-ah~”

Hei Ryung was taken aback by the sudden whining and once again the comfortable name.

“Please? I promise I’ll do everything to pay you back.”

“Pay me back?”

She nodded.

She tilted her head. “What kind?”

“err…service?”

She raised a brow.

“just please Ryung-ah …I badly need your help.”

Hei Ryung stared at her. She observed the girl whose face is turning begging in any second. But she held herself. Her mind is already made up.

“…”

“If I can give you a valid reason. Would you consider?”

“what?”

“You said that you can’t agree on something I can’t explain to. That means you want to be convinced and that you won’t just help me without knowing the real reason behind it.” She tilted her head. “So if I can, will you?”

A shrug. “It depends” she flatly answered.

To accept the request is the last thing she’ll do. She might turn out cold but no one can blame her. She’s totally out of the situation. She just happens to be the last choice. Again…insulting.

“Promise me that you will not tell anyone about this.”

“Do you think I will?”

“Just…promise me!” Tiffany childishly pouted.

“Sigh…Fine. I promise.”

“And one thing.”

“Why are you asking me to promise things when all you have to do is explain?”

“because I need to be sure.”

Hei Ryung can only shake her head as she leaned it on the chair. “Go on.” She said. Eyes closed.

“Please take care of us and I’ll do everything for you.”

Hei Ryung’s eyes flew open. “I haven’t even accepted it.”

“But I know you will.” She said. This is another method Jessica had taught her. It is to act confident in everything she does and says. Truth to be told but her heart is beating so fast right now. She never likes to force someone yet converse with a certain somebody like this. But she has to. Call me selfish but I have to.

“Sigh…Can you even hear yourself?”

“Of course.”

She scoffed and shook her head. “This is the lamest Joke I have ever heard.”

Tiffany furrowed her brows. “I’m not kidding Hei Ryung.”

She clasped her hands and leaned her elbow on her table. Eyes fixed towards the standing frowning girl across her, still can’t believe on how silly the idea is even if she had heard it a lot yesterday and today. It’s unbelievable, implausible, unlikely, far-fetched…

Tiffany held the sitting girl’s gaze. She’s not going to back out. Not when she has no other option to do. She’ll risk everything and anything just to make it possible even if it means her life.

“I see…” Hei Ryung leaned back on her chair, arms crossed.

She waited for her to continue but got nothing but a reading stare. “So?”

“What so?”

She sighed; feeling like the whole talk is going round and round. “For the nth time Hei Ryung, I’m serious. Please take this thing seriously as well.”

“Well I’m serious” she said flatly. “And it’s a no.”

“But…”

“No Miss Hwang. Even if it means a bad image towards you, my answer will always be no. It’s not negotiable.” She paused. “ Now with due respect, please go out.” She cut her sentence then proceeded to get another folder and flip the pages of the document. She totally had long forgotten about the explanation she wanted to hear.

“H-hey!” her eyes followed the pull when Tiffany suddenly snatched the said document out of her grip. “Give it back.”

“No.”

“Don’t mess it up Miss Hwang.” She warned.

“Not until you agree.”

“Again, No. I said it loud and clear…No.”

She frowned. “Hei Ryung-ah.”

She was once again surprised at the call plus the gentle tone.

“Please save us.” She doesn’t care if she’ll sound pleading. But oh well, she really is in the first place. “Please Hei Ryung-ah.”

“I--”

“I’ll do my duty well!” She cut her sentence. “You can order me around…Kill a pig and bring it to life. Whatever…Please Hei Ryung, I’ll willingly follow your orders… Everything. Just please do save us.” She’s in the verge of crying but she doesn’t care no more.

Hei Ryung slowly took the document out of the girl and cursed silently when she noticed the crumpled edges. It’s an important document after all.
