Taehyung slowly grunted once he got inside the school building. He lazily walked towards the stair and he sighed.

That guy is crazy in Neptune’s Sake.

It’s been evening, even quite late to be specified, but suddenly Hoseok asked him to tutor him at the school since tomorrow they would have a sudden exam. Damn it, Taehyung just slept at home peacefully after reading a whole chapter of his textbook and suddenly, at this late, Hoseok called him to come at the school.

At first Taehyung wanted to reject because, hey! It wasn’t reasonable (and he was somehow too lazy) to come at night only to tutor. But Hoseok forced him to come; he even whined, begged and he said he had waited for Taehyung at the school –so Taehyung couldn’t do anything but to come.

He sighed and lazily stepped at the stair to go to their class in the second floor, right at the place where they would meet. Taehyung brought one bag that was filled with books they had to learn, and it was such a burden for him to bring it.

But hey, at least he would meet Hoseok.

And the truth that today is his birthday just made him couldn’t mad.

The question was why did Hoseok want him to meet? Hoseok had congratulated him at the morning when Taehyung just woke up, and Taehyung guess it was enough. There was nothing more but the birthday, so-

What is this?

Taehyung stared in curious at a small card that was on the next stair when he was about to step it. He bowed down to take and open the card, and the text written inside just made him confused.

One,

You always make me stun

I’m not a stun gun, Taehyung thought and mentally laughed. Someone must had accidentally left it there, so Taehyung put it inside his bag and walked again, mentally planning to return the card to the owner.

It was only a step he took before he saw another card on the stair’s handle.

Two

I will always love you

Okay, did this card come from the same person who dropped the first one? He read it, chuckled and saved it inside his bag again. The two messages were so cheesy, it might was made by a boy to his girlfriend.

Soon enough, Taehyung didn’t know why, he had found so many papers all over the stairs, whether it was stuck on the wall and handle or it was dropped down the stairway. Too many that he started to feel unsure that someone had accidentally dropped them.

And the part that made him curious was all the messages were in a chain.

Taehyung bowed down as he took another paper that was placed right beside his class. Okay, so what were all of this? The papers led him to his class, and it must be something, he thought. Was someone playing a joke at him? Taehyung looked at the last paper he took as he walked closer to his class, and he read the text inside the paper.

Nine

Because you look so fine

Taehyung stepped inside his class in confuse as he put the paper inside his bag again, and another confusing thing he didn’t even realize was that the classroom’s door was opened wide. He lifted his head up to see if Hoseok was there, and whatever he saw just made him stunned.

Hoseok was there, sitting at a chair right in the middle of the class with all the tables and chairs moved aside. The different thing in him was Hoseok was holding a guitar, and he was singing.

He was singing with his gaze locked at Taehyung and his lips formed a smile.

And ten,

Ten love letters had been sent

Taehyung was surprised yet really, really touched to see his Hoseok was singing for him. So all of those letters were from Hoseok, he thought. His blood rushed that made his heart beat faster and faster, and his body froze right in that place.

He was really happy that he couldn’t say anything.

Hoseok smiled a little wider seeing the response from the latter guy, his boyfriend to be specified that had gone with him for a year. He stood up, put the guitar on the floor, and then he opened his arms wide.

“Taehyung-ah, happy first anniversary.”

Yes, they had own each other for officially a year. They had gone through the ups and downs of a relationship for exactly 365 days. They had shared their love for exactly 365 days.

They had shared their happiness and sadness for exactly 365 days.

Taehyung could feel that his eyes got hotter because of tears and he held his breath in reflect. Hoseok forced him to come to school at night only to celebrate their first anniversary with the excuse to tutor, and the fact that they had kept a relationship for that long just made his heart thump a little faster.

Hoseok chuckled once he saw Taehyung’s cute respond. He shook both of his arms and said, “Come on, give me a hug.”

Taehyung could feel that his cheeks got hotter. He immediately looked down, walked quickly to approach Hoseok and immediately he reached his arms to hug the latter boy so tight.

A chuckle escaped Hoseok’s mouth, he immediately hugged Taehyung back and messed his hair. “Happy anniversary and happy birthday too, hm?”

Taehyung slowly parted away and he nodded happily. He was still looking down, half wanting to hide his red face and half because he felt nervous yet so happy. It felt like butterflies were flying around your stomach and gave you ticklish yet nervous tensed feelings.

“I have a present for you,” Hoseok said and turned around. He bowed his back to take something that seemed to be placed behind his chair, and he turned around with that thing on his hands.

It was a large brown teddy bear with a smiling face and fluffy fur. The teddy bear was large enough for Taehyung to carry on his back so can you imagine how large it was? Hoseok juxtaposed the bear to Taehyung and said with cute voice, “Taehyung appa, take me!”

Taehyung couldn’t help but shyly laughed when Hoseok said so. He took the bear and nodded, his arms instantly wrapped around the bear’s body to backhug it. Hoseok chuckled; he patted the bear’s head and said, “When I’m not around and you feel sad, just remember that this teddy represents me. Hug this teddy and you won’t feel sad anymore!”

A light laughter escaped Taehyung’s mouth. He nodded and hugged the bear so tight until half of his face was buried inside the bear’s fur. Hoseok couldn’t help but smile seeing the cuteness, and then he mumbled, “Let’s name the bear.”

Taehyung nodded eagerly and sat down the floor, soon followed by Hoseok who sat in front of the latter boy. Taehyung pretended to think, so did Hoseok.

“Hope,” suddenly Taehyung came out with a word.

Hoseok curved his eyebrows. “Why hope?”

Taehyung raised his shoulder. “I don’t know. Hoseok just sounds like ‘hope’ for me, and the way you describes this bear just like this bear is a hope for me.”

“What kind of name is that?!” Hoseok raised his tone and shook his head. “No, no! Hope is such an awkward name!”

“But that’s cute, and the nickname is hopey! Hobi!” Taehyung yelled back, but still Hoseok shook his head again.

“Nowadays names with only one letter is popular, let’s just name it V!” Hoseok said happily and he widened his eyes. Taehyung immediately made a face and yelled, “V, V! How come you came up with such a silly idea?!”

“Why? V is cute! I don’t care, I will name him V!” Hoseok yelled again.

Taehyung whined and hugged the bear tighter. “Nooo, Hope! He is Hope!”

Hoseok couldn’t help but smiled seeing the cute reaction. He pretended to think for a moment and when he came up with an idea he immediately said it out loud, “V-Hope!

Seeing Taehyung didn’t react for a moment, Hoseok approached Taehyung and continued, “V-Hope is the mixture of V, my selection, and Hope, yours. Isn’t it cute? V-Hope?”

Taehyung chuckled and nodded. “It sounds cute and cool! Mixed names are cute!”

Hoseok laughed and took the bear to hug it too. He buried his face on the bear’s fur and muttered, “But if it’s mixed, can we call him TaeSeok?”

Taehyung put his elbows on the floor and hs palms on his cheeks to support himself and he nodded slowly. “Yes, TaeSeok. It can also be HyungSeok…”

“But of course we can’t name it HoHyung!” Hoseok said, and both of them burst in laughter. HoHyung was a very awkward name to be said and it was such a joke that they would name a bear with HoHyung. Hoseok said in his laughter, “You know what, we sound like a couple who wants to name a baby.”

“Yah!” Taehyung yelled shyly, he couldn’t lie that his face was now getting redder. Hoseok laughed and said, “If we’re a couple, then you’re my wife!” he messed Taehyung’s head and his laughter got bigger.

Taehyung looked down and immediately snatched the bear to hide his blushing face. He whimpered with his arms wrapped around the bear, and Hoseok messed his hair again. “What’s the matter, wife?”

Taehyung slowly took the bear off his face. His face was still looking down but his eyes were glancing at Hoseok, and he slowly opened his mouth to say, “W-we’re a couple, but I’m not your wife!”

Hoseok smiled widely. “So does that make me your wife?” he immediately pretended to be a girl and he clung at Taehyung. “Taehyung oppa, I love you!”

Hoseok was expecting for another shy act or cute yells, but Taehyung just looked down with his face buried at the bear’s fur. Hoseok parted away and looked at Taehyung in confuse, and he asked, “What’s the matter?”

Taehyung slowly looked at Hoseok with his face beet red. He gapped his mouth to speak, “I- I actually have an anniversary present for you too, but-”

“Give me the present,” Hoseok said with his eyes widened in happiness and his palm stuck out. Taehyung remained silent for a moment before finally he moved the bear slightly off his lap, shyly nodded and he immediately looked down to his pants’ pocket.

Hoseok looked at Taehyung’s hand with happy face, but soon enough when Taehyung didn’t even pull his hand away and give Hoseok the present, Hoseok furrowed his eyebrows and leaned his face closer to peek the present in curious.

“I don’t see anything,” Hoseok mumbled and leaned himself closer.

At the moment where their faces were so near that they were almost gapless, when Hoseok’s gaze was still locked on Taehyung’s pocket, Taehyung leaned a quick kiss on Hoseok’s lips as his present.

“T-that was my present,” Taehyung stuttered, his face was blushing crazily. Hoseok was rather shocked or shy, he didn’t even move from his previous place. Kim Taehyung just kissed him as his anniversary present… and Hoseok couldn’t think anything sweeter than that.

Hoseok chuckled; he pulled himself away with a smile. Taehyung immediately squealed and buried his face inside the bear’s fur in shame again, and Hoseok’s smile grew wider when he saw that. “Yah, Taehyung-ah.”

Taehyung didn’t even answer or lift his face which made Hoseok smiled in amusement and he called Taehyung again. “Taehyung-ah.”

Slowly Taehyung lifted his face to look at Hoseok. It was first he popped his forehead, eyes, and soon his entire face had been lifted. Taehyung’s face was all red and he glanced down nervously for a moment before finally looking at Hoseok and muttered, “W-what?”

“I can show you a better present,” Hoseok murmured with serious face and he approached his face with Taehyung’s.

His palms slowly cupped around the latter boy’s cheek, and he moved himself closer to lean a kiss. For a moment no one dared to talk and no one dared to separate away, they just held his breath and tried hard to slow down their heartbeat which was proven to be impossible.

And Hoseok gave Taehyung his best anniversary yet birthday present.
