{ prologue }

Sulli cheerfully walked to school, cradling her backpack in her arms. Most of the students who pass by her snickered, saying that she looked like a lunatic babying her bag like that but she doesn’t care. The bag contained her love letter to Byun Baekhyun, the school’s handsome and talented kingka.

She walked dreamily as she envisioned Baekhyun in her mind. He belongs in a group called EXO, along with eleven other members. They are considered the kingkas of their campus, mostly because of their good looks and their wealth. However, it was Byun Baekhyun who managed to worm into her heart the most.

She still remembered the day when they first met. Sulli knew every EXO member, but she was a hundred and one percent sure that none of them knew her, even though she had been classmates with Luhan, Kyungsoo, Yixing, Chanyeol, Jongin and Yi Fan for almost five years then. She knew the boys way back, but they never talked once, not even for a school project. The six boys were always grouped together, as if telling everyone to back off because no one would ever be invited in their circle.

The five other boys were in another class, but just like the boys in Sulli’s class, they were secluded to themselves. That was until a transferee named Byun Baekhyun entered the class.

He was a cheerful boy, and none of them would have thought that Baekhyun would be an EXO member. Apparently though, Baekhyun wasn’t much of a stranger since Chanyeol and Yi Fan’s family knew him way back. The Byuns are from the old money too, so it wasn’t much of a surprise.

They met on Baekhyun’s first day at school. Sulli was sulking because her best friend, Gongchan, tricked her into buying their drinks again. Daily, the two friends play kai bai bo to determine who will treat who, but of course, Gongchan distracted her again. Now she was out looking for the vending machine alone, and that was when her world collided with Baekhyun.

“Annyeonghasaeyo,” the stranger greeted. “I’m new here, can you help me?”

His ridiculously enchanting eyesmile and fascinating voice got her. “Su–sure. What can I do to help?”

He flashed another one of his smiles, and Sulli internally prayed that their conversation would take the whole day just to see his perfect smile. He cutely rubbed his hand to his nape before speaking. “I just want to ask about the room number 217? I’m new here so…”

Sulli’s brows knitted together. And just exactly why is this perfect specimen looking for our classroom? She thought, but she answered nonetheless. “Ah, it’s in that building.” She said and pointed. “It’s lunchtime though, and I doubt if anyone’s in there.”

“Really?” The cute stranger asked again and nodded. “Thank you, anyway.”

She was about to offer him a place on their lunch table when she heard familiar voices. “Hey, Baek!” One distinct deep voice shouted before it was followed by footsteps.

Baek’s face lit up upon seeing the ones coming to them. When she turned, she was surprised that it was Chanyeol, Yi Fan and Jongin. Her eyes widened. What the… EXO?!

The men chatted as she stayed there, completely forgotten. Not until Chanyeol turned to her and asked the cute stranger. “Baekhyun, do you know the girl?” He asked. Sulli suddenly felt like smacking Chanyeol with her shoe. They’d been classmates for five years and the man can’t even remember her face?!

“Oh,” he reacted. “I asked her for your room number. You told me guys to find you.” He explained.

The three guys shrugged as they whisked away the cute stranger who captured Choi Sulli’s heart, completely taking it with him.

She stood there like a crazy girl with a dreamy look in her eyes until Gongchan found her and smacked her head. She quickly turned and glared at him. “YAH GONG CHANSHIK!” She hissed.

Undeterred, he only smacked her again. “I told you to call me Gongchan! Aigoo. I told you to buy the drinks a while ago and I thought you were already kidnapped!”

“Gongchan-ah…” Sulli said, her eyes cloudy as she hugged her purse to herself. “I’M IN LOVE!!!”

Gongchan only shook his head before he snatched Sulli’s purse and got the drinks himself.
