Kai was still dragging Sulli towards the abandoned building where the dance room was located. He cannot understand himself why he felt angry– no, enraged with the fact that Jung Jinyoung was engaging in skinship with his girlfriend. Adding to that, Sulli didn’t even look like she hates it. In fact, it seemed like she was quite enjoying it and that only pisses him off more.

“What’s your problem, Kim Jongin?!” Sulli screamed as he continued to drag her towards the dance room. He didn’t answer, he only went inside the room and slammed the door shut loudly.

“KIM JONGIN!” She shouted again, trying to catch his attention. When he turned to look at her, both of them were wearing irritated looks on their faces. Both were breathing heavily as they continued to glare at each other.

“What’s up with you?!” Sulli asked, irritated at Kai’s actions. However, she was sure that the fast beating of her heart was not just because of her irritation, but because of something else. Why is he acting so territorial? Is he perhaps… jealous of Jinyoung oppa? She internally shook her head at her thoughts. CHOI SULLI! Get a hold of yourself, crazy woman! Why are you even thinking like that?! It’s not like you don’t know Kim Kai and his rules.

“WHY WERE YOU HUGGING JUNG JINYOUNG, SULLI?!” He screamed loudly. Those were the first words he uttered as soon as they got inside the room. His face was still dark and grim, the anger completely visible.

Sulli was dumbfounded at his question. was half-open because of the surprise she felt with what he said. Her heart was thumping wildly against her ribcage and she was almost sure that it would just jump out of her chest. This time though, she was sure that its almost abnormal beating has nothing to do with her irritation. The butterflies lounging around in her stomach were of no help, too. Why am I feeling happy? She questioned herself. She was on the verge of questioning her sanity, too. Why am I feeling like this?! I. LIKE. BYUN. BAEKHYUN! I LIKE HIM! I CAN’T LIKE KIM JONGIN!

On the other hand, Kai was having a problem on trying to control himself. He was having a hard time trying to divert his attention from her soft, pinkish lips. He swallowed repeatedly, wanting to look away but it was like there was some magnet pulling him in. Are her lips as soft as they look like? He closed his eyes and tried to calm himself, but his heart was already pounding relentlessly as he envisioned her inviting lips. He slowly opened his eyes and saw that she was still eyeing him. Will they taste as sweet as what I imagine?

He cannot stop himself anymore. He was slowly crossing the small distance between them, unaware of anything except for Sulli and his fast-beating heart. He could still see the surprise in her eyes. When he finally closed the distance between them, his one hand lifted up and touched her cheek. He could hear her breath shortening and his own nervousness doubled. He was inwardly cursing himself. Damn, Kai, it’s not as if it’s your first time to kiss a girl! He scolded himself, but another part of his brain quickly contradicted it. Because Jinnie’s not just a girl.

Sulli’s breath was beginning to hitch. There was something about Kai’s warm touch which makes her long for more. Her heart was even beating triple times than how it was before, if that was even possible. She wondered if he could hear how her heart was beating wildly just because of his one touch.

Kai slowly descended down towards her lips, and her eyes involuntarily fluttered close. Upon seeing her closed eyes, he smiled a little before closing his own. She could feel his warm breath fanning her and it only added to her anticipation.

When their lips finally met each other’s, it was like both of them lost their senses. EXO, Jinyoung, Soojung, Gongchan, rules, pretension… everything was forgotten. All that matters at that moment was the spark they ignited on each other, starting to blow off like beautiful fireworks.

His lips slowly started moving, wanting to taste more and more of her delightful lips. Sulli, who was still foreign to the sensation of what Kai was doing to her, can’t help herself but to moan. Kai could feel the shiver running down his spine and how delicious it was to hear the sounds she makes.

After a few moments, she started mimicking his moves, trying to glide her lips on his the way his does on hers. Kai couldn’t help but to deepen the kiss as soon as he felt her eager response. He made use of her slightly opened mouth and slowly darted his tongue inside of her wet cavern, greedy to get more of her.

It took them almost a minute before they finally separated. Both of them were breathing heavily, but Sulli couldn’t stop herself from praising his looks. Her eyes widened when she saw how messy his hair was, although it didn’t stop him from looking good. In fact, it even made him look hotter. When her eyes landed on his lips, she swallowed hard when she saw how red and plump it was. She could feel her face heating up as their passionate kiss finally sunk in her mind.

Kai, on the other hand, was busy trying to catch his breath as he stared at her. He could still feel how soft her lips were against his. And damn it if he won’t admit that her disheveled hair and swollen lips don’t attract him to kiss her once again.

He was about to descend down to her once more when she planted her tentative hands on his chest. “Stop, Kai,” she whispered, her voice confused and shaking.

It was as if he was shot to death multiple times. He was confused as to why he was feeling deeply hurt when she stopped him. “Jinnie–” He called out but stopped mid-sentence when he figured out that he doesn’t even know what to say himself.

Sulli removed her hands on his chest and backed off from him. She avoided his gaze. “I– I’ll see you, K–Kai.” After that, she started scurrying away from him.

He was left by himself as he stared at the door where she left. Strangely, there was an aching part on his heart and a hollow space on his stomach, as if it was only Sulli who can mend him. He shook his head as he sat down on the floor to think about his actions and words towards her. The ing damned lines are blurring, and it’s not good, he thought as his mind flew to Sulli and how her smile lights up everything on him.

Sulli was walking like a zombie. She wanted to text Gongchan to tell the teachers to excuse her because she wasn’t feeling well, but as her luck would have it, her phone was left on her backpack. She doesn’t want to go back to her classroom yet, afraid to face them after what they did on the dance room.

What was I thinking kissing Kim ing Jongin?! I’M NUTS!!! She scolded herself. This wasn’t supposed to be this way. We have rules. I. Like. Baekhyun. She sighed heavily as she drilled in her mind that fact. But damn, why does it feel like I’m only convincing myself?

She was surprised when she felt a cold can on her forehead. She blinked and saw Byun Baekhyun in front of her, his enchanting eyesmile flashing in front of her. His arms were outstretched and he was the one holding the can of energy drink. “You look like you could use one drink,” he commented before sitting on one of the benches near the vending machine.

She did her best to smile as she accepted the can. “Thanks,” she replied before she sat next to him, careful to leave a wide space because she doesn’t want him to think that she was a creep.

“What’s up? Did you and Kai fight?” Baekhyun asked, genuinely curious. Truthfully, there was something in his heart which started to hurt as soon as Kai walked out of the door with Sulli. What pisses him off the most is the fact that Kai has the right to do that, and he doesn’t.

Instantly, her cheeks reddened upon the mention of his name. She swallowed a small amount of liquid from the can to wet her parched mouth before answering. “A–aniyo,” she stuttered. “K–Kai and I are fine.”

“Really?” He asked as he moved himself to sit closer to her, a smile playing across his lips. “You and K–Kai are fine?” He teased.

She cannot help but to smile. Seeing Baekhyun this close was heaven for her. She could still feel the butterflies on her stomach. Her smile widened when she felt that. I–I’m still okay, right? I still like Baekhyun. Byun Baekhyun’s the one I like, she drilled on her head.

“What are you smiling that wide for?” He questioned again, his brows furrowing.

Sulli cannot help but giggle at how cute he looks, especially with his lips slightly pouted. He was like a lost little child, looking for his mother. “Nothing.”

“Do you want to skip school?” He suddenly brought up. She turned to him with wide eyes, surprised to hear that coming from him. Honestly, she has never tried skipping school. Her friends, especially Jinyoung and Baro, have tried it a lot of times already. Soojung, Gongchan, Sandeul, and even the scholarly CNU did. Sulli was too afraid to break the rules. That was part of the reason why she’s considered the “pure and innocent Sulli.”

Really, Sulli? But it seems like you’re a pro when you break the rules with Kai.

She shook her head wildly at her thoughts before responding to Baekhyun. “Are you serious?”

One of his brows rose. “Of course I am. Do I look like I’m joking?”

“But my things–”

Baekhyun stood up and beamingly smiled at her. “Don’t worry, Sulli, I’m sure that Gongchan will bring it. C’mon, let’s go!” He said before he grabbed her arm and dragged her towards the gate. She was still staring at his hand which was grasping her arm. It feels so surreal that they’re together now. It never crossed her mind that Baekhyun will know her name, much less invite her to go away together.

They examined the guards first. Baekhyun peeked and saw that the younger guard was the one in the guard house, and he was busy watching a basketball game. The two of them bent over a little and walked like that towards the school gate. When they finally got out, he started running and she had no choice but to run alongside of him.

Both of them were panting when they finally got far from the school. Sulli’s position was mirroring Baekhyun’s, her back bent and her hands resting on her kneecap while trying to catch her breath. Is it ‘Make Sulli Breathless’ day?! She cracked up on herself, but her internal laughter died down when she remembered Kai and their little scene on the dance room.

She straightened herself before looking at Baekhyun. Her cheeks pinked when she saw that he was already staring at her. “Whe–where are we going, Baekhyun?”

He blinked away before dusting himself. “Uhh, well… do… do you want to meet my sister?” His voice was low and unsure.

Sulli darted another surprised look to him. “Sister?”

“Ye–yeah.” He sighed. “I know you probably think I’m a bad guy, since CNU and I don’t really get along well and I stopped him from seeing my–”

“I don’t think that, Baekhyun,” she softly answered. His eyes found hers and she gave him a soft smile. “I understand your protectiveness for your sister. But… can’t you give her and Dongwoo oppa another chance?” She quickly slapped with her hand when she realized what she told him. “I–I don’t want to meddle, Baek, I just don’t want to see anyone of you sad anymore–”

To her surprise, Baekhyun started laughing. She frowned as she stared at him like he’s a loony. He was also starting to get the attention of other bystanders, not because of his unreserved laugh but because of his impossibly good looks. Sulli could see how women of varied ages stop and stare at him and marvel at his face before sighing dreamily. She doesn’t know why she feels irritated knowing that she earned herself more rivals for his heart.

“It’s okay, really.” He told her as he started walking towards the bus stop. “I… I’ll think about it.”

Her eyes widened and her jaws hung low upon hearing his statement. Her eyes lit up in happiness. “JINJJA?!” She screamed. Baekhyun nodded slowly and she wasn’t able to stop himself from hugging him. She was very happy to hear that at least Baekhyun’s willing to give Mihyun and CNU a chance. She knows that CNU was still feeling upset because he couldn’t see Mihyun, and the mere fact that Baekhyun was reconsidering is a very good news for Sulli. She cannot wait to tell it to CNU when they see each other again.

Baekhyun was as stiff as a log. His heart was thundering against his chest because of a simple skinship from her. When she noticed his surprise, she immediately pulled away, embarrassed. However, he was feeling regretful as soon as she let go.

“I–I’m sorry, I’m just so happy for Dongwoo oppa!” She apologized for her actions.

He smiled at her adorableness. He pinched her nose before smiling at her. “It’s nothing.” He answered.

They chatted for a few more minutes while waiting for the bus. When it finally arrived, they got in but there were no available seats anymore. They squeezed inside the bus and stood up side by side while waiting for one of the seats to be vacated.

They were laughing about Baekhyun’s first encounter with Luhan when the bus suddenly screeched to a stop. Sulli’s body slammed against Baekhyun’s. It was a good thing that the latter was able to keep his balance, or else both of them would be sprawled on the floor. His arms were protectively wrapped around her. Sulli blushed and immediately fixed herself so as not to trouble him more.

“Are you okay, Sulli?” He worriedly asked as the bus started moving again. “You’re not hurt, are you?”

She shook her head lightly. “I’m okay, Baek. How about you? I slammed pretty hard on you…” She shyly said.

“I’m okay. Just stick close to me, okay? You don’t want to slam your face on the bus floor next!” He joked and kept his arms around her lightly to protect her. They continued talking and she didn’t even notice that they were already on the stop near to Kwon Hospital.

The two of them got off the bus together and proceeded to the elevator. “This is where you said you’d give me something, right?” He asked when they passed by the lobby.

Her cheeks reddened as she remembered herself that day. She was all sweaty and haggard-looking, she was still lucky that Baekhyun still gave her his time of the day– “You were a bit sweaty, but you’re still cute.” He commented before he chuckled, reminiscing that day.

She couldn’t help but to stare at him. Cute? Baekhyun found me cute that day? She parroted to herself in disbelief. “Cu–cute?” She repeated idiotically.

He turned to her and he laughed at her reaction before pinching her nose again. “Yes, you’re cute, Choi Sulli.”

The elevator’s light ‘ping!’ was heard when they finally reached the eighth floor where Byun Mihyun’s room was located. Baekhyun stepped out first before he turned to look at her who was still aghast at his words. His hearty laugh was heard before he grabbed her and pulled her out of the elevator. “And you’re still cute.” He added before they made their way towards Mihyun’s room.
