Ties
DreamcatchersHe stood outside the door, his fists clenched as he peered in to see Jongin with a serious expression, something entirely different from what he had been used to. He watched as the two adults towered over him as they spoke continuously, their messages muffled through closed doors. Sighing, he turned back and slumped against the wall as he sat on the chair outside the ward, the plastic bag growing heavier in his hand. He was honestly worried about what they would say and how it would affect him, he remember what Jongin was like the only time he brought his parents – the hatred and anger mixed with the frustration of still having ties and slight concer. He knew Jongin would plunge into confusion if they stood in front of his eyes; and the day had come. Sehun ruffled his hair in discontent as he sat down, his eyes gripped by the rough texture of the wall before him as his thoughts wandered off, lingering on the fact that he was worried about what was going on. He was awoken however, when he heard the door swing open as it hit the walls hard as the two adults stormed out, or rather Jongin’s father stormed out, his coat now ed and his tie loosened as the lady rushed after him, eventually choosing to pull her heels out and run after him, her hair now in a mess. Peering into the room, Jongin was lying with his eyes closed and his hand covering his eyes. He seemed tired as he sank into the bed, his teeth clenched. Sehun walked in gently and shut the door behind him as he shuffled awkwardly over to the chair next to Jongin.
“Jongin.” Sehun whispered as he slowly reached out to touch his hand. Ice cold.
“Hey.” Jongin’s voice was hoarse.
“What happened?”
“Nothing much. Parents came and wanted me to go back with them. He started a business in America and he wants me to move over with them. Wants me to give up on dancing, give up on living on my own because I’d probably end up being a useless idiot who does nothing but get injured and end up needing to get them to pay for surgeries and all. Yeah that sums it up.” Jongin kept his eyes on the light once again as he spoke slowly, occasionally tensing up as he would then hold Sehun’s hand tighter. He finished as he turned over to look at Sehun who seemed like he was in deep thought, “It’s okay though. Nothing to comfort me about or convince me about because I’ve given up on them. Money makes their heads go delirious and when that happens, nothing else can surpass the desire for capital. I never got past that so I guess even if I went over it wouldn’t make much of a difference. And anyway they were the ones who chased me out first. So going back is impossible.”
Sehun wasn’t quite sure of what to say as he simply looked at Jongin, watching him try his best to construct a solid façade
