I swear my heart stopped. Without his glasses he looked so gorgeous. I didn’t realize I was staring until he took my arm to help me up.

“I’m sorry for not paying attention to where I was going. I guess I’m just in a hurry to get to the last class.” I said in a rush.

He laughed. “It’s okay. I understand. Would you like me to walk you to class?”

“Umm sure. If you want to. You won’t be late for yours?”

“It’s just study hour for me. The teacher wouldn’t mind if I’m late.”

As he walked me to my last class, I couldn’t help but feel the stares and whispers of the other students. It’s not that it made me uncomfortable, I just have a feeling Jessica’s big mouth had a role in most of these whispers.

“Here we are. You are free to go.” He said.

I didn’t realize we made it to my class already. I just stared at the door and then back at him.

“Are you okay?” he asked me looking worried.

“I’m fine I’m just overthinking things I guess.”

“Oh, I see. Well you better get in class before you’re late. I need to get to mine see you later.” He said giving me a smile before he turned and walked in the other direction. I couldn’t help but smile back.

Something is literally wrong with me today. First, his eyes and now that smile is melting my heart. This can’t be I don’t need this right now heart!

The rest of the day went by quickly. Sunny came to my house to help me with a project for history.

“So, I didn’t see you at lunch what happened?” She asked.

“Stupid Sehun and Tao, got me in trouble. They decided they wanted to copy off my paper and Mr. Lee caught them.” I said.

“Ahh that cousin of yours, he’s a trouble maker. Haha” she said.

“I know!! I don’t know how my aunt deals with him at home.”

“You know, Saturday was the first time, in a long while since I’ve seen you smile so much.” She said matter-of-factly. “Do you think you’ll ever open your heart to another guy?”

I couldn’t help but freeze for a moment and I thought about what she asked. Sunny has been my best friend since elementary school. She knows all my secrets and I know all hers.

“I think when the time is right for me to open it to someone. It’ll happen on its own.” I said with a small smile.

Will I be able to open my heart to someone else, or will my ex forever have a piece of it?
