Ch. 6

Unexpected Feelings

“You don’t get scared or anything do you?” Hoya asked.

“No. Not at all. I don’t really scare easily.” I lied. I could see Sunny staring at me and trying to hide her smile.

I wish this haunted house was over with already. Why did we have to run into her? She did this on purpose didn’t she?

It’s our turn to enter. I couldn’t help but move a little closer to Hoya.

It was dark and all I could see was flashing lights. I heard a door creak open and as soon as I saw a creepy clown come out of the shadows, I grabbed onto Hoya’s arm for dear life.

I tried my best not to scream but I let out a couple of screams here and there. I swear I thought I was going to pee in my pants a couple of times. I had to hide my face into Hoya’s shirt.

As soon as we got out I dropped to my knees. Loving the feel of the ground. When I got up I couldn’t help but get a hold of a laughing Sunny and informing her how my life almost ended.

“You had fun at least.” She said taking Minhyuks’ hand and sticking her tongue out at me. “Now let’s go eat. I’m starving.”

“You’re lucky, I love you like a sister.” I yelled at her as we started following them.

“So you weren’t scared at all?” Said Hoya, with a big smile on his face.

“I have no idea what you’re talking about.” I said, walking ahead of him a little.

“Sure you don’t.” He said. I hit him lightly on the shoulder and he laughed at me.

As we ate, the boys were busy chatting about some soccer game and Sunny was asking me how things are going with Hoya.

“It’s going okay, I guess. I mean it’s only been a day and I’m trying my best to get to know him” I said.

“Well that’s good to hear, at least I know you are trying it out.” She said smiling proudly.

The end of the night consisted with us looking for a spot to watch the fireworks. I loved this part of the festival but it also made me a little sad. I couldn’t help but stare at the lovebirds, Sunny and Minhyuk.

“You know it’s not nice to stare,” Hoya said sitting down next to me.

“I know. I just can’t help it. Haha. They look so adorable together.” I said.

“Yes, they do.”

I admit it was a fun and beautiful night. I didn’t even realize that this is the first time in months that I’ve smiled so much in one day.
