I quickly ran off the porch and walked away, trying not to look back. Just then the moment was interrupted by the ringing of my cell phone. I pulled it out of my pocket and read the text, " Elvina, where are you? "

I texted back, " Just visiting an old friend "

" Okay, well come to my house when you're done! "

" Don't worry, I'm coming.. "

I put the phone back into my pocket and took a bus to 28th Ave. As soon as I got out, I saw someone sleeping on the bench. As I came closer to the bench, I realized it was a little girl sleeping under a huge coat. My eyes widened. I was about to run to her, but her father came and put her onto his back and walked away. I sighed with relief.

Someone tapped my shoulder and asked, "Do you still love him?"

I instantly turned around and accidently fell onto his chest. With that, his arms wrapped around me, keeping me warm.

I started stuttering, "S-stop teasing me, Jackson."

I felt my cheeks turn red. Before he could get a good look at me, I buried my head into his chest. He quietly laughed and put his chin onto my head.

"Let's go to my house," he said gently.

I was about to answer, but he picked me up (in a bridal way) and carried me off. I decided not to struggle since I was already going through enough drama.
