"You promise?" I asked childishly.

He looked at the ground, "Hmm..."

"What?" I asked.

"Okay, I promise BUT you have to promise me one thing too," he replied.

I looked at him strangely.

"You have to promise me that when you cry, I'll be the first person you'll go to. When you're mad, I'll be the first person you complain to. When you feel alone, I'll be the first one you'll call," He put his hand under my chin and pulled me closer.

Mark gently pressed his lips onto my cheek and pulled away, slightly blushing. I instantly felt my cheeks turn red and warm. He flashed that smile of his which made me even more nervous.  He put his hand on top of my head and ruffled my head. I didn't somewhat mind it.

'What's wrong with you, Elvina?!?!' I asked myself.

Mark stood up and went to continue cooking. I put my hand onto the cheek that he had kissed and that moment kept replaying in my mind.

I ran out of the kitchen and tackled Jackson with a hug.

"Whoa, there piggy," He panicked.

My arms were wrapped around him, my face was blushing red, and I felt weird inside. I buried my face deeper into Jackson's chest. Jackson gently pat my head.

"What's wrong?" He quietly asked.

I only held onto him tighter. I didn't want to answer that question..because I knew that I'd hurt him by telling him..

"Jackson, I-I think I'm falling inlove with him..again.." I answered.

..but I had to.. I didn't want Jackson to be the clueless shadow, always chasing after me. I wanted to give him a chance to change what I knew was happening.
